I think I realise why Tumblr is so quiet.

When I first joined I was around 15-16. And now I'm turning 20. So, ideally, I've been on this site for five years and all my moots were around the same age or a year younger or older than me.

Now, most of them have a job or are in college like me so they aren't here most of the time (and because blogging is almost dead, most have moved to Instagram)

But the major demographic I witness of Desiblr (except my old mutuals) is around the same age as the kid I was when I joined Tumblr. Most of my mutuals are younger than me.

Honestly, I think it's quiet because most of my mutuals have left, or have fallen out of contact for multiple reasons.

I think the fact that I'm going to turn 20 is hitting me, because I still remember COVID and my attempts to figure out how Tumblr works back then, and finding so many friends on here and now we're all lost.

Man, adulthood finally hit me and I don't think I'm ready to let it go.
