Crashing this party wasn't simply for fun, though Xiaomin was more than happy to partake in the free food and festivities. The peach never fell far from the tree as they say. She was here for information, though perhaps boasting to easily about perhaps having plans inconvenient to a privileged few was a little bit foolhardy. The one glass of wine she'd allowed herself might've made her a little too loose-lipped. Perhaps being able to put down as much alcohol as he does was simply one of the once-great sage's many abilities as much as duplicating himself or turning into other things was.

The younger simian tensed up as she felt the other scan her, her irritation growing more apparent with every moment that passed. The proposal was met with a loud scoff, her arms crossing over her chest defiantly.

Nzr verse Sonson is a lot more of a delinquent type than mainverse Sonson. While the latter isn’t an angel she’s more willing to compromise and play by the rules so long as she’s still having fun and isn’t actively antagonistic unless provoked—which at that point if you manage to actually get her mad for real you deserve whatever you get. The former is more likely to be confrontational from the gate, and has a much shorter fuse. Rules are to be broken, especially if they’re in her way. Far, far more likely to escalate things into a fight.

Both retain their empathy and heart of gold, willing to move heaven and earth to help someone weaker or less fortunate. I like to think that mainverse is a lot more like Wukong during the Journey, shortly after the defeat of Liu’er Mihou. NZR is more like Wukong in the Havoc in Heaven era and—should she find his Astra—is dangerously close to suffering his same fate.

One he use to sing for her whenever she was upset as a child. It's one of their more peaceful moments that the Monkey King cherishes, having his little one resting her head on his lap like this. It makes the world less dark to him.

There's a warm smile, gentle as he gazes at her. Continuing the melody he hums just for her and forgetting the world just for a moment.

It was...nostalgic. Moments like this had become a lot more scarce as Xiaomin grew older and their fights—and her subsequent absences—more frequent. Though she would not admit it quiet times with her grandfather were precious to her and the younger monkey was careful to make them last.
