honestly the team of scandal, jeanette, and ragdoll in the 2015 reboot is so compelling to me cuz scandal is canonically a polyamorous lesbian and she and jeanette have some sort of Thing going on but it was 2015 and they werent committing to ragdoll being actually nonbinary so ragdoll is just There platonically as a faggy man. living in an apartment with scandal and jeanette. and sleeping in a dog crate For Some Reason. entirely unrelated to jeanette being a professional dominatrix. trust me bro it is soooo totally unrelated. and jeanette calls the entire team including ragdoll "the female furies" but ragdoll is still just there platonically as a faggy man while jeanette and scandal lezz out. ok

ive been thinking abt making a s6 sideblog for a while but the new secret santa thing made me Actually Do It so anyways heres my inane ramblings very ragdoll centric review of the new comic

art style isnt insanely ugly (this is an issue for ragdoll appearances) but it is still comic-y in a way that doesnt suit their mask. the color palette is good

they put him in a few kind of ridiculous poses for no reason. we know hes hypermobile you dont need 2 do this. villains united and volume 2 had some of the best casual poses in my opinion, then volume 3 got a little weird, but this is a whole new level

weird choice to make her seem to jump a solid 10 feet straight up when she couldve been thrown by bane like in vol3 issue 2. this doesnt fit its powers and why deprive it of this enrichment. why

bane is all liek "wow ragdoll is so dedicated 2 family how heartwarming and inspiring ^_^" girl the canon physical abuse and heavily implied way more abuse. have you ever spoken that thang shes fucking insane. bane was literally There in volume 3 when alex implied the most fucked up shit. admittedly he was fading in/out of consciousness due to having 40 bricks thrown at his head but thats no excuse. pretty sure this writer literally forgor or perhaps didnt care in the first place. in terms of design: the red Mystery Garment is still odd which is an issue i have with most ragdoll designs. the shorts are cute :) shorter than the main s6 design. good length. the neck ruff is very cute. tastefully jester-like in a way thats not too clowny

we are continuing the tradition of ragdoll mysteriously disappearing during fight scenes. i think a lot of people dont know how to fit the whole contortion thing in to a fight but as an ex contortionist its not hard. its really similar to acrobatics and gymnastics, just do some of that

dialogue is good when its there yayyyy. sufficiently odd w/o being too random. good balance

overall pretty good 👍 better than a lot of cameos, better than some s6 arcs, not as good as the version i made up in my head but obviously im aware its unrealistic for them to cater to Me Personally
