november 25th, monday
so today was not productive at all. which is not ideal because i have exams in a week. hence i really need to get on top of my shit. i also have this pretty important test on wednesday, which is stressing the shit out of me, and sort of preventing me from focusing on any of my other subjects. i'm trying really hard to not panic, because i have covered most of the material somewhat, but i'm not completely confident in anything yet. oh gods of academic validation please save me <3
hours studied : 1 (I KNOW)

Movie Review
Ainda estou aqui / I’m still here (2024) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
In this movie staring Fernanda Torres and Selton Mello they tell the story of Rubens Paiva, one of the victims of the Brazilian Military Dictatorship.
The movie shows the impact his “disappearance” had on the family and Fernanda Torres gives the most amazing performance of wife and mother fighting for her life and her family.
There’s a big representation of the oppression suffered at that time which is crucial for setting the tone of the movie.
Her last years are shown trough the acting of the actual mother of Fernanda Torres, amazing actress Fernanda Montenegro (they are the ones in the 2nd photo on the post).
Both of them give the most impactful performance, the scenes I thought were the stronger they didn’t even say anything, the way they used their eyes and facial expressions.
I would recommend this movie not only to all Brazilians, but to anyone that is interested in South American politics or that just wants to watch a great movie.

wednesday, november 20th
today was actually a holiday in my country, so i actually sat down and studied for awhile. latelly i've been having little to no time to study, and with that i was really thankful for a small break on my routine. i did all of the schoolwork i set to do, but i was'nt able to complete my work work. so i'm prob gonna do that on friday. all my candles burned out so i'm gonna have to go buy more, i'm really really sad (so lazy to go out) about it. i'm also DYING to buy more books, really it's becoming more of an obsession than a likeness.
study time: 4h47min / start time: 10:00am / end time: 3:46pm
song: new slang (the shins)
