             there’s  a  trickle  of  laughter  that  falls  from  cleotilde’s  lips  as  she  collides  into  the  sand  alongside  rae  .  “  whaaaat  ,  ”  she  dragged  out  before  continuing  ,  “  do  you  not  have  hangover  remedies  ?  if  not  ,  i  can  offer  you  some  ones  that  work  for  me  when  i  drink  too  much  .  ”  taking  another  shot  of  the  tray  ,  cleo  knew  damn  well  she  was  going  to  have  to  break  out  one  of  those  remedies  tomorrow  morning  .  this  was  the  first  time  she  had  drank  for  a  long  while  .  “   me  ?  hook  up  with  someone  ?  oh  ,  no  ,  no  ,  no  ,  no  .  i  joined  the  party  pretty  late  &  only  spoke  to  a  handful  of  people  .  ”

            ‘  of  course  i  do  !  ’  raeyeon  giggles  softly  ,  not  necessarily  from  cleo’s  words  ,  but  from  the  alcohol  taking  over  her  system  .  ‘  leave  it  to  my  mom  and  she’d  have  our  chef  make  hangover  soup  for  me  .  now  ,  i  just  need  some  strawberry  liquid  i.v.  ,  a  pair  of  sunglasses  ,  and  a  bagel  slathered  in  strawberry  cream  cheese  .  ’  raeyeon  nearly  moans  at  the  thought  .  ‘  oh  god  .  i’d  kill  for  a  bagel  right  now  .  ’  she  leans  back  on  her  hands  then  ,  letting  them  sink  down  into  the  warm  sand  as  a  laugh  brews  in  her  chest  .  ‘  oh  my  god  ,  come  on  !  there’s  got  to  be  at  least  someone  you  want  to  hookup  ?  go  on  ,  tell  me  .  i’m  good  at  keeping  secrets  .  ’

          *     𝐀𝐍   𝐀𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐃   𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐎𝐑  is  splayed  against  cherubic  features   ,   lips  pursed  into  a  playful  smile  to  further  the  other’s  calling  for  adventure   .   they  had  their  days  of  frustration  with  each  other   ,   especially  when  words  were  thrown  &  feelings  were  hurt   …  of  course   ,   with  the  additional  frustration  of  dishes  left  on  the  sink  or  almost  burning  the  villa  because  of  shoes  stored  in  the  oven   .   though   ,   some  nights   ,   it  was  well  compensated  by  fingers  gripping  the  sheets   &   sighs  of  bliss  resulting  from  strenuous  late  night  activities   .   yeona  could  only  offer  a  laugh  at  the  continuous  advances  of  the  other  trying  to  take  her  away  from  work  . “     raeyeon   ,   it’s  not  that  long   ,   it’ll  be  over  before  you  know  it  then  we  can  do  something  exciting  for  the  rest  of  the  night   ,     ”   she  offers  the  bartender  a  nod  before  sliding  the  glass  over  at  the  femme  situated  next  to  her   .   “     tell  you  what   …    ”   she  takes  a  quick  sip  from  her  drink   ,   not  bothering  to  move  her  legs  away  from  her  touch   .   “     we  can  go  skinny  dipping   ,   bribe   the  people  in  charge   ,   have  it  closed  off  for  an  hour  or  two   …   maybe  get  our  hands  dirty  then   ?     ”   she  offers  with  a  bright  tone   ,   hoping  it’ll  suffice  the  other’s  hunger  for  thrill   .   “   if  we  get  caught   ,   then  we’ll  commence  in  the  villa   …   what  do  you  say   ?   do  we  have  a  deal   ?     ”

            far  too  many  times  ,  more  often  than  rae  would  like  to  admit  ,  their  relationship  would  suddenly  sour  .  typically  ,  it’s  a  result  of  their  too  slick  tongues  and  sometimes  too  much  alcohol  that  gets  them  into  trouble  ,  resulting  in  silent  treatments  and  slamming  bedroom  doors  .  she’s  not  sure  of  how  they  began  falling  into  each  other’s  beds  ,  she’s  not  even  sure  of  when  ,  but  raeyeon  would  be  a  liar  if  she  sang  anything  less  than  praises  .  a  gentle  smile  stretches  across  her  features  when  yeona  laughs  ,  and  she  flicks  her  hair  off  of  her  shoulders  .  ‘  yeona  ,  thirty  minutes  is  too  long  ,  especially  when  you’re  doing  something  you  don’t  want  to  do  .  working  is  so  dumb  !  ’  raeyeon  bemoans  as  she  throws  her  hands  into  the  air  dramatically  .  she  accepts  the  drinks  that’s  slid  towards  her  ,  taking  a  long  sip  .  when  she’s  bored  ,  there’s  no  way  of  getting  her  to  stop  complaining  other  than  giving  in  to  her  whims  .  she  thinks  over  the  offer  that  yeona  is  dishing  on  the  table  .  ‘  i’m  only  accepting  this  offer  if  it  means  we  can  get  sushi  too  .  i  know  ,  it’s  a  lot  i’m  asking  for  a  lot  here  but  neptunes’  sushi  is  just  so  good  ,  ’  raeyeon  is  half  joking  and  half  serious  ,  eyes  glistening  gently  as  she  licks  the  salt  around  the  rim  of  the  glass  .  ‘  who  said  anything  about  us  getting  caught  ?  if  the  place  is  ours  for  an  hour  or  two  ,  and  you  are  all  mine  for  said  time  ,  then  we’ve  got  ourselves  a  deal  .  too  bad  evie’s  not  around  --  i’ve  been  itching  for  a  round  two  .  ’

          *     𝐓𝐇𝐄   𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄   𝐖𝐀𝐒  𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐆𝐈𝐍𝐆   ,   strangely  enough   …   she  was  grateful  for  raeyeon’s  company   .   yeona  wouldn’t  exactly  say  that  out  in  the  open   ,   afraid  that  it  might  go  to  their  heads   &   get  used  to  the  pleasantries  between  them—  𝐢𝐭   𝐰𝐚𝐬   𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠   ,   the  more  buttons  pushed  the  better  it  was  for  them   .   not  exactly   a   good   thing   ,   but  it  wasn’t  bad  either   …   it  depends  on  the  situation  really   .   besides   ,   the  privacy  of  their  villa  was  enough  for  them  to  voice  out  their  opinions  on each  other   .   the  general  public  wasn’t  ready  for  that   ,   so  they  try  to  be  decent  around  people   .   having  just  finished  a  set   ,   dark  hues  settle  on  the  petite  girl  situated  on  the  bar  stool  next  to  her   .   “     just  30  more  minutes   ,   rae   …   i’ll  get  you  a  drink  to  compensate  your  patience   …   how  about  that   ?     ”   not  exactly  responding  to  the  question  prior  her  offer   ,   but  it  should  hold  it  off  for  now   .   she  didn’t  know  how  to  answer  the  inquiry   ,   best  to  keep  that  subject  lowkey   …   for  her  own  sanity   .

            it’s  a  rarity  --  truly  ,  for  raeyeon  to  get  along  with  other  people  .  she’s  usually  so  domineering  and  fiercely  defending  that  she  doesn’t  need  anyone  in  her  life  that  she  usually  ends  up  pushing  everyone  away  .  despite  their  warring  nature  ,  raeyeon  storing  her  overflow  shoes  in  their  villa’s  oven  ,  and  the  occasional  slide  of  their  skin  against  silk  sheets  ,  raeyeon  likes  having  yeona  around  .  right  now  ,  the  duo  are  in  a  good  place  ,  and  she  hopes  for  it  to  stay  this  way  for  a  while  .  ‘  god  ,  screw  those  thirty  minutes  ,  ’  raeyeon  whines  as  she  dumps  her  chin  into  her  palm  .  ‘  i  could  literally  just  give  you  double  of  whatever  you’re  supposed  to  make  .  what  do  you  make  in  thirty  ?  five  hundred  ?  maybe  a  thousand  ?  ’  raeyeon  is  so  disgustingly  unaware  of  how  much  people  actually  make  ,  but  she  doesn’t  realize  just  how  out  of  touch  she  sounds  .  ‘  come  on  ,  ’  she  speaks  again  after  a  beat  or  two  .  ‘  i  used  to  ditch  stuff  all  the  time  ,  it’s  so  fun  .  we  can  leave  ,  go  skinny  dipping  at  the  private  pool  --  i  could  always  bribe  that  weird  guy  for  at  least  an  hour  .  or  ,  ’  raeyeon  walks  her  fingers  up  yeona’s  right  thigh  .  ‘  we  could  always  do  something  else  worthwhile  .  ’
