Radio Free Hipster Ep. 111: The Great Xmas Garbage Fire
As you limp your way to the finish line of 2020, take a moment to savor the flavor of another holiday episode of RFH. It includes geeky hip-hop, mash-ups, and whatnot---just like Beefy says in the theme song!
Wishing the happiest of holidays to you and yours, and please stay safe out there. <3

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 110: Land of the Lost
What was I doing during all those long months spent in quarantine? Well, I was trying (repeatedly) to put together a podcast worth listening to.
That never happened, but I did finally manage to cobble together multiple disparate pieces into something listenable.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 109: The Creature Among Us
After, like, half a year, Radio Free Hipster is back just in time for Halloween. (As if there’s not enough scary shit going on right now anyway.)
Enjoy new musical selections from Beefy, Alpha Chrome Yayo, Dethlehem, and Sam Haynes, as well as classics from the likes of The PDX Broadsides and Marc With a C. But above all else, trust no one!

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 107: Leaps and Bounds
Y’all, your boy is under the weather. Still, I didn’t let that stop me from crafting you the finest musical podcast imaginable.
Although truth be told, that’s more thanks to the hard work of LEX and Burg and Hella and Vurez. They did the heavy lifting. I just sort of croaked out a bit of interstitial commentary.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 106: Love You Like a Milkshake
Here is a special musical Valentine that you didn’t ask for and I actually created by accident. That’s how love works, right?

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 105: Almost Free
If you like wrestling and Rush and ice cream, then this is the podcast for you!
(If you don’t like those things, then I have woefully misread the needs of my listening audience.)

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 104: Decade of Dorkadence
We start 2020 by looking back at the decade just passed, with me spotlighting a different artist and track for each year 2010-2019.
While I’m not necessarily saying that these were the absolute best releases of the year---or even my overall favorites---I feel like each is noteworthy, saying something different about the styles, sounds, and overall musical evolution of the twenty-teens.
Hopefully, you’ll hear some of your favorites and maybe even find a couple you missed along the way.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 103: Got the Time
2019 may not’ve been my best year, but it certainly wasn’t my worst---and that’s something. Now it’s nearly gone and we look forward with hope and uncertainty to 2020.
But before we make that jump forward into the ‘20s, let’s take a moment to enjoy some music from Crayondroids, D&D Sluggers, and DJ Earworm.
See you in the future, internet!

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 102: Tio de Nadal
This year’s holiday episode focuses squarely on Christmas music. Could it be that even I am not immune from catching ye olde Christmas spirit? Or could it be that this is simply the way the song list led me? Only Santa knows for sure, but either way, I hope it finds you well and warm and wonderful, no matter what you celebrate.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 100: Double-Triple
I don’t really know what to say about this 100th episode of the new (improved?) Radio Free Hipster except... well, thanks.
Whether you’re a listener or a musical contributor or just a friend who tunes in from time to time, I can’t adequately express how appreciative I am that you share with me your most treasured asset: your time.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 99: Snark of the Beast
Halloween is almost here, and so I present to you this month’s final spookily-themed podcast. Rather than stick close to the realm of ghosts and ghouls, we instead take more of a look at existential horrors and, more importantly, how to fight ‘em.
(Spoiler alert: the answer is humor, humility, and a healthy dose of music.)
Next month will see the release of the 100th episode of this new incarnation of RFH, and, to be quite honest, I have no idea how I should mark this significant milestone. But I’m sure I’ll figure something out.
In the meantime, enjoy the thrills and/or chills of episode 99, and happy haunting!

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 98: Scream, Zacula, Scream!
It’s that special time of year when a young man’s fancy turns to magic and mischief and mayhem. I assume. I haven’t been a young man for quite a while.
Still, I offer up to you this simple Halloween podcast---fortified with only the finest songs about supernatural occurrences and other strange happenings.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 96: Fight the Future
Did I intentionally stagger the last couple of podcasts by an extra week just so our landmark 100th episode would fall during the November doldrums?
Probably.
But more importantly, episode 96 is here---complete with songs about wizards and Keanu Reeves and the importance of silencing your devices.

Radio Free Hipster Ep. 95: After the Thunder
After a long, hot summer, the rains have finally returned to the Carolinas. If you listen close in this episode, you can likely hear ‘em.
More importantly, you can hear amazing new cuts from Crayondroids, Coolzey, and Alpha Chrome Yayo. Also, I talk a lot about Fire Emblem: Three Houses---which isn’t particularly relevant or anything, but I’ve never let that stop me before.
