Sometimes I think about how arguably one of the major themes in the New Testament is to listen and believe women.

The first act of the New Testament is believing Mary when she explains the immaculate conception.

Women were trusted to preach the good news that Jesus rose from the dead.

The woman caught in ‘adultery’ (which some scholars believe was non-consensual) was spared.

The woman at the well is arguably the first person to go out of preach in the name of Jesus.

All this to say: Women are meant to be listened to. They are meant to preach. They are meant to be equal, not subordinate.

I cannot stress this enough but misandry is not feminism. Misandrists are a group of women who hold toxic views about men, belittling them and laughing off their issues. They see men as nothing but predatory and dangerous, but when it comes to women who commit awful acts, they don't care. They're silent because they refuse to believe that women are capable of such acts.

That's not what feminism is about. If you truly want equality then you should care about both female and male issues. A true feminist would rather stand with men than stand against them. Feminism isn't about tearing men down to empower women, it's about standing alongside them.
