to me susie is definitely the type of kid that wishes she were beefier than she is and that's why she's visibly stronger in the dark world. but i think in reality that coat is hiding skin and bones

noelle is like. so sneaky. she had chalk the whole time and didn't give it to alphys. she is so clearly used to sneaking under authority's noses to get what she needs. i am like dead certain she made that fountain in the library shoved berdly in and then went and got kris and susie to come there too

literally like. the theming there is so thick with weird route being like, representative of the fear in both kris and noelle of having to one day grow up, get married, assimilate themselves into normalcy and never think about any of this again. they see the deeply repressed queerness bursting at the seams of this miserable christian suburb and they're scared of losing their will before they can get the chance to live as themselves. they see the repression baked into every word and action of their parents, they know damn well that azzy and dess didn't bail for no reason, they feel these wild, roaring revelations about themselves swelling and they can't push it down, they can't run away forever. deltarune only has one ending.

deltarune was crazy making a route centered around deeply ingrained compulsory cisheteronormativity and repressive thought patterns tearing through the fantasy world, theming that everyone misses except for the most insane fanart you'll ever see
