I'm against men in women's sports for obvious reasons, but I hate the way men who are also against it are obsessed with that one Serena Williams quote where she was asked if she could play that one really good male player and she said something like "I would lose 6-0, 6-0".

I mean, yeah, men have more explosive strength and speed, so it wouldn't be a fair match, but it grinds my teeth how giddy men are to hear a top female athlete admit her biological "inferiority" (in their eyes). My dad brings that quote up all the time. Sure, we're different, but we're not lesser. Why do we always have to compare good female athletes to male athletes anyways? They do this in pro running too, which drives me crazy. "She's fast enough to run with the boys!" Bro, shut up. Men are not women's measures of success.

“Everyone has their own truth” is so intellectually lazy, it’s what Kajsa Ekis Ekman calls “liberal resignation” - you see it in a lot of other contexts, like debates about “sex work”, some women like it and some don’t and both are valid! some children are really trans and some are gay kids with homophobic parents and that’s fine! just let it be, don’t worry, let people figure it out for themselves, everyone has their own truth, which conveniently frees you from having to think deeper about the implications and consequences of the things you support, you can pretend to support everyone in every way and feel good about yourself without having to form a personal opinion or make any personal moral choices because that sounds scary.

I hate how so much of female culture is about masochism- starving yourself, wanting to hurt yourself, romanticizing or eroticizing sexual violence. And male culture is loving yourself and thinking you're the shit. That's fucked up and unfair. I think I posted a few months back about how Iceland's government coalition was going to be headed by 3 women but in today's news, it was reported that all major positions in Iceland are held by women.

The positions are:

-The heads of all 3 political parties in the central government

-The heads of all parties that form the Reykjavík local government

-The President of Iceland

-The head of the police

-The head of the church of Iceland

-The Dean of every university in Iceland

-The head prosecutor of Iceland

The cabinet of the central government is also primarily female, if I recall correctly.

The head of the biggest bank in Iceland, Íslandsbanki, is also a woman.

Go on Iceland, become a matriarchal society. You know you want to.
