Playground (2009)
Directed by Libby Spears, this documentary film exposes the failures of the United States legal system and the foster care systems implemented to protect children from the growing child sex trade in their own backyards. Spears scrutinizes these elements as well as family life and mainstream media that normalize violent sexual behaviors against children. Playground gives an up-close look into the raw reality of the sexual exploration of children in the Unites States for an unwary audience.
Illustrations by Yoshitomo Nara in collaboration with animator Heather Bursch

do you actually hate all men? as in, you don’t have any exceptions?
Yes. Today a man said “have a nice day” to me so I told him to die and then I mugged him

A pregnant woman has had her baby forcibly removed by caesarean section by social workers.
Essex social services obtained a High Court order against the woman that allowed her to be forcibly sedated and her child to be taken from her womb. The council said it was acting in the best interests of the woman, an Italian who was in Britain on a work trip, because she had suffered a mental breakdown.

it seems to be that majority of our generation just loooves socialism soooo much, yet all of their beliefs, their obsession and defense of the beauty industry, sex industry, as well as relying on gender role propaganda to embody their sense of self....... should i go on? you know these are all derived from capitalism right? did you get that? or should i leave?

What it’s like to be slut-shamed when buying birth control
Even when pharmacists do let people access contraception, whether emergency contraception or condoms or prescription birth control pills, the process isn’t always free of judgment. In a series of recent online discussions, people across the country have begun to share stories of the stigma they’ve experienced. As many have pointed out, this can be especially damaging to teens.

What even is a cis woman when self-harm is epidemic among young girls because due to self-hatred resulting from the misogynistic ideals of heteronormative womanhood being forced upon them? When depression, eating disorders, and body dysmorphia run rampant among women and girls because they are pressured to perform gender and present in a way that is not even physically possible for most?
Do the words, “comfortable in your own skin,” really apply here? What woman is consciously content with an “identity” she has been violently conditioned into since birth, to some extent or another? Surely a woman would have to be a living, breathing RealDoll to accurately fit the definition of ‘cisgender’.
What is a “cis” gay, for that matter? How could any gay man—effeminate or not—possibly be said to identify with the gender roles imposed upon him at birth when his very being is in many ways an essential contradiction to those behaviors and values? A “cis” butch lesbian, who couldn’t be further from the patriarchal ideal of womanhood?
Fucking absurd beyond comprehension. Nothing but reductionist identity politics and oppression olympics.

tbh “boy positivity” posts are one of the most annoying things on this website, right up there with Straight Pride
