“Shiver My Timbers” from the Muppet Treasure Island soundtrack but I put the final gunshot back in so it’s not so anticlimactic

I watched Hocus Pocus with my family over the weekend and I was trying to make it interesting by watching the characters in the background more...
I can't stop thinking about the kid dressed as Sonic the hedgehog.

If Danganronpa taught me anything, it's that people will love completely unlikable characters.

Here’s a background tutorial that was intended to hand out to the painters on Over the Garden Wall…I’m actually not sure if I ever did (maybe German or Levon can chime in on this) Anyway, I whipped this up super fast in the early days of pre-production and it might be of interest or help to some aspiring digital painters out there.
EDIT: It was just pointed out to me that there’s a missing step 8…that was a typo in the original document…sorry about that.

I’m posting Tulsa-verse stuff on my new Outsiders side blog. 😉
Drew this one a little bit ago. The idea was that Johnny and Pony are at Jay Mountain and needed to save their matches, so they try to light from the same one. I know they’re already supposed to have their hair changed at this point, but I wanted to draw them regular. 😅
The image for this one came to me pretty clearly as I was going to bed one night. I actually had to drag out my iPad so I could sketch it right away.
Sketches under the cut!

Been thinking about this dope recently. The movie was on television this weekend and I caught a tiny sliver of it before I had to leave.
I couldn’t help myself. I had to draw him again, but as a young adult.
A grown out mohawk that looks more like a mullet felt within his aesthetic to me. I also remembered to give him his missing scales on his shoulder after the events of book 3. Though I swear I remember his snake having a name, but I couldn’t find any evidence of this online. I gave away my copies of the books eons ago, so I don’t currently have a way to look it up.
I tried really hard not to make the snake look like anything recognizable as Disney. I really struggled, but I like the way she came out.
Maybe I’ll draw more stuff from this series, idk. We’ll see.
