So it... feels nice to have a father-figure.” She leaned her head back onto the window. “I can’t wait until I can get a shower too. I feel gross.” She paused, “But, I’m gonna take a nap now, okay? Wake me up when we’re there, please?”

Leon: Where'd you learn this.

Sherry: Oh please, My dad was having an affair,I learned the word blackmail by age 7.

Sherry nodded. She might be mature for her age, but Sherry was still a kid.

“I’ll put them on the table in my room, then I’ll help with cleaning up our scraps.”

Sherry gathered up every paper snowflake she could get her tiny hands on and rushed to go put them on her table, making sure to keep them separate from her school work. Winter was one of Sherry’s favorite seasons though, so of course, she’d been on board with making decorations to cheer up her beloved adoptive dad.

Sherry wasn’t sure how to tell Claire she wasn’t allowed to eat out. It wasn’t because of her parents, mainly because of her stupid immune and digestive system. So she used the excuse she used to. “I’m not really hungry.” 

“But you should definitely get something.”

Sherry looked up at Claire. “I hope one day I can be as great as you. As long as we have each other, I think we’ll be safe. I don’t think anything can hurt us now; we’ve been through so much already. We’re invincible.”
