Was rose quartz's purpose in home world society clarified during the trial? A medic and "stratagem"? Do you think the difference in Steven and rose's power can be explained by the fact that while rose's personality was "sympathetic" she wasn't actually and empathetic individual? She cared but couldn't necessarily feel what others felt. Probably played a big part in her decision to have Steven. Probably couldn't conceptualize the emotions a child would have growing up and dealing with her mess.

Rose was the only Rose Quartz with healing powers, so there is no way that they were designed to be medics. And while Rose’s personality is sympathetic, and Rose was strategic, we cannot know if other Rose Quartz were as well.

YES!! I’m all for critiquing, but don’t complain. It’s her show. It’s story is wonderful. You are more than welcome to share your opinion. But don’t feel entitled to smash her art. Even if she didn’t directly make it. She even made it clear she wanted simple designs to focus on creating more content.

Dear Rebecca Sugar:

You did nothing wrong, all these people critiquing your designs for gems don’t know what they’re talking about. Aqua and Topaz are perfect, they fit the style of the show, of homeworld, of aliens in general. Aquamarine doesn’t have a nose, just like Sapphire. Topaz isn’t curvy, just like Bismuth. They’re perfect. I love this show and I wouldn’t stop watching it because I didn’t like something.

Continue to just be an awesome character designer, awesome artist, awesome everything. Thank you.

Y’ALL my sister just dropped a theory about Moana on me and I’m

Grandma Tala. She seemed like a fairly healthy old woman on the whole, right? Dancing with the sea and the rays, doing Old Crazy Lady things etc etc. Okay. Sure.

The thing is, my sister suddenly pointed out that, ever since Moana dropped it as a baby, Tala had possession of the Heart of Te Fiti. The source of Life.

And then she gave it to Moana, who ran off with it to try and get the islanders to voyage out for Maui, and… suddenly deteriorated. Died.

What if the Heart had been keeping her alive. Te Fiti gave Life to the islands, but in the hands of another, what if that isn’t what it does? What if the Heart grants immortality? What if Tala knew, and still gave up the Heart so that Moana could find Maui, restore Te Fiti, and save Motunui?

And if that’s what the power of the Heart really was, no wonder the monsters wanted it.
