I thought Lea's scar might be the reason she got the title of Legendary stalker.

Lies of P as vines because this game has existed for almost 2 years and I’ve yet to really see a vine compilation for it
Strong language warning for some, but otherwise- enjoy 6 minutes of LoP memes (it’s mostly vines but there are some TikTok’s sprinkled in there) :))))

About why Geppetto left Carlo after the real boy ending
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I experienced a lot of emotions while playing the base game of Lies of P.
Anger was definitely one of them, but nothing made me feel such visceral anger as getting the Real Boy ending and discovering that Geppetto was nowhere to be seen.
He left, leaving only a letter behind.
This man, this stupid, delusional man,who was so obsessed with bringing his son back, who desecrated his son’s corpse, who went to unimaginable lengths to revive him… left him again!?
He abandoned Carlo right after he came back? How dare he. That asshole.
Of course, I already hated Geppetto. But back when only the base game existed, we were mostly told about how much Carlo longed for his father, how bitter and resentful he felt about being abandoned. So it was an absolute punch in the gut to witness Geppetto doing it again.
At the time, it just seemed like more evidence that this neglectful father remained a neglectful asshole.
And while that still holds true, the DLC gave me a slightly different lens through which to see it.
In the unsent response letter we find at the Rose State, we read Geppetto’s “reasons” for giving Carlo away. One of them was so that “he could live in Camille’s world, and that means a world without me.”
Of course, Geppetto was self-destructive and consumed by revenge. I can see how, in his twisted logic, he didn’t want Carlo to get caught in that spiral (you asshole! then get better, and realize your son already lost his mother). In his mind, staying away was the best thing for Carlo.
But when he finally got Carlo back, he wrote that he “no longer bears a grudge” and that “my life is rosy now.” In the letter he leaves for us. And yet, he abandons Carlo again!
It didn’t matter that his revenge was supposedly fulfilled or that his life had “color” again. He still couldn’t bring himself to be with his son.
And I think, aside from other reasons, he was still clinging to that warped belief that “leaving Carlo to live in Camille’s world” meant leaving him alone. That his presence would ruin things.
Of course, by this time, he was completely out of his mind. There’s no way that Camille’s world involved Carlo killing his friends and turning them into puppets.
I genuinely believe that in his horribly twisted and delusional mind, Geppetto thought he was doing the best thing for his son by stepping away. By leaving him “be” in a world with his “friends.” A world where he could supposedly thrive on his own.
And fine, let’s pretend for a moment that he was truly concerned for Carlo’s wellbeing (even though he had singlehandedly got rid of every threat in Krat). Let’s say he really wanted to clean up the city of carcasses and the PD.
Even then, it still feels like a such a dumb excuse to avoid being a father.
Geppetto didn’t know how to be one anymore. He didn’t even treat Carlo as a person. To him, Carlo was just an extension of Camille, a proxy for his guilt and grief. Carlo represented a chance at redemption for the child he failed in the past. And once he had him back, his goal was fulfilled.
So he just had to keep this “precious possession” safe, hidden away at Hotel Krat. Quiet. Obedient. Far away. Because that was the only kind of father Geppetto knew how to be: absent. Distant. Completely uninterested in who his son actually was.
Oh, Geppetto. I will forever hate you. (But thanks for giving me so much to ramble about)

Who else has realized that Romeo's storyline is a paradox? Because I realized the other night while drifting off to sleep and I just about bolted upright in bed.
I had always wondered how Romeo knew what had happened to Carlo. How had he known what Geppetto was planning for him? How did he know to warn him of everything in the base game?
He knew because while he had been kidnapped by Arlecchino and strung up during the final battle, he saw P. He knew immediately what he was. He knew that was Carlo--but Carlo had died. Romeo had made a deal with Geppetto sometime before being kidnapped; he wanted to be turned into a puppet. We see in the final scene he's in that he nods to Lea, letting her know it's okay. This what he wants.
Why did he want to become a puppet? It wasn't only to protect the city of Krat, it was because he knew what happened to Carlo. He saw him, fighting beside Lea, and he knew then what Geppetto had done. He had turned his own son into a puppet. Romeo had to kill P to stop it all, to end Carlo's pain. Carlo never would have wanted to be a puppet. He never would have wanted to be controlled by his father like this.
What Romeo hadn't planned on, was being enclosed in the King of Puppet's shell, but he even found a way to use that to his advantage. In the end, he really did thwart Geppetto's plans, and if he couldn't kill P and set Carlo free, then P would kill him and set him free.

Can I just say that I absolutely love Lea? It's strange for me to love a female character this much, since they're usually written like utter shit. But the female characters in Lies of P are so utterly perfect. You have Eugenie who is passionate and brilliant and easily excitable and ADORABLE. You have Sophia who believes in you the way a mother should, always being patient and calling you her clever one, with a heart of gold even though you find out that her motives for awakening you are a bit selfish because SHE needs your help and she's been suffering. Antonia feels like how everyone's grandmother should be--yet she's tough as nails and doesn't want to give up on her life. She's done so much good over all her years, looking after children who didn't have homes or parents, teaching them, loving Carlo with everything she had.
The fact that there are bosses in the game like Laxasia, who is arguably one of the hardest to beat, and Markiona who is no pushover are hard to miss. And then the Legendary Stalker, Lea, who lives up to her name--and you'd automatically assume the Legendary Stalker is going to be a man because it's a fucking man's world, isn't it? You'd think the Stalker of legend would be a man, the toughest of them all, but no. It's Lea, who is so incredibly female and also broken, and a MOTHER to Carlo and Romeo. She's tough on them, but she's so passionate about them. She loves them. She feels such regret for being too late for Carlo, and that's why even on her death bed, she's fighting to do everything she can to save Romeo. She won't lose him the way she did Carlo. She won't let him down. Because she believes in the good in him, and she knows he deserves to live.
I absolutely love all of these women, and I just want to thank Lies of P for doing it properly. You never see a woman who is just there to be the love interest. There aren't any damsels in distress who can't stand up and fight for themselves. All of these female characters are inherently human and REAL and I love them with all of my heart.
