This poor man becomes king after this happens! (Short Story)
youtube
The king called his most trusted friend saying, Michael, come. He ran down to his presence. "My lord, here I am, what is your request for me?". The king said to him, "Michael. I am now very old, my eyes see darkness though they are opened, and my ears hear little though I have not closed them. The time has come to find the next king who will rule over these people. Behold, my sons do that which is wicked in the sight of all the people, therefore as long as I live, they will not rule. Neither will you rule because at times you justified wrong deeds. Now listen to my words to you, and find me twelve men in this land whether rich or poor. And I will choose one from them who is worthy to sit on this throne." So the king ended all his words to him and he said, "my lord, your words cause me to have great sorrow, nevertheless, I will obey your commands". So he went to all the lands in the nation. Bringing twelve men before the king, all stood at his presence, each with something to show forth of themselves. And in the midst of them was a poor fellow, a carpenter, who himself sought not to go with Michael, but because his father told him to do so, he went questioning nothing. And the king said before them all, "Lo! I am very old, and soon I will no more be because I should have died at that time" and all the people cried heavily because of his words to them. But the king continued and said, "I have sent for you all this day, to choose an acceptable man from among you who shall rule my people". So Michael went and divided them into four groups, each with three men. And he commanded them to spar against each other as to determine the group which should move forward, notwithstanding they could not kill each other. And the carpenter said to his team, "let us work together instead of fighting in an uncoordinated manner like they all do". So the three of them did so, supplying each other help in that which they lacked. And they prevailed against all the other groups. Now three were remaining, of whom one should become a ruler of thousands. And Michael said to them, "you have all done very well, which is why you all still remain while the others have all left, prepare every one of you a speech to the king saying what a king is, and tomorrow you will present them to him. And after a day, the first came and said to the king, "my lord, a king is a person who has great wealth and fame, loved by all the people and highly educated". Howbeit his answer displeased the king, and he was taken away. Then came the second who was the carpenter and said, "My lord the king, a king, is not he who is loved by all, because often those that do righteousness are the ones people are against as they don't subscribe to any iniquity even the iniquity that is normalized, but he is a king who is just and does good always, he who judges rightly, not caring for what people might say or think and has the authority to perform his will". And when the third saw this, he changed his answer and said similarly to the carpenter. And the King was pleased with both their speeches, sending them each to separate houses to rest for the night. And in the morning, Michael sent for them both. But along the way, there was a cripple asking for help. The carpenter searched his garments and gave him all he could, but the third gave him nothing. So when they had arrived to the king, he said to the third, "These past days you were called with twelve men that I may crown him who is worthy. And I was very pleased to see you succeed over many of the twelve who were in your midst, yet at the last, you have failed me. You are not fit to be king, because if your speech to me was true, you would have not refused to help the cripple who I set on the way to try you both, you ignored him that could not help himself, therefore go far from me. Then the king looked at the carpenter and said, "Behold! You counseled the group to work together, knew how a king ought to be, and showed kindness to the cripple...

Find out how they answered him! (Short Story)
youtube
There was a certain young man seeking wisdom. He told his father and mother, and all his brothers and sisters, I go to seek out wisdom to know for a certainty the truth. And in this manner he went, telling both friends and family the reason for his departure. I go for a short time he said, but when I return, I will tell you the things which I have learned. He laid his eyes on America, because he was told that it was a place to obtain a good education. And so he went there by plane, ready to drink up knowledge like a whale when it drinks up water in the sea. And he saw as it were, a group of friends who each had success in his field, one was a lawyer, another a doctor, and the last a professor. And he asked them a question saying, what is a woman? But they could not answer him and began to insult him. Likewise, others did so to him saying, you're not a biologist. So he left the country, taken aback at the things he saw and heard. Are we not all human beings? Can not anyone with a soul answer such questions? Nevertheless, he went to Europe because others said to him, here you will obtain a good education. And, he saw a person standing by alone, and he asked saying, what is a woman? But her anger grew hot against him and she said, you're a racist, walking off as though she had won some great thing, and he, being confused, could not figure out why she called him a racist. Others said to him, only a woman knows what a woman is. But Lo! Even they could not answer his question. Sorrow and anguish laid hold on him because no one was able to think for themselves. Then remembered he, Africa. A place he was told not to turn to because they said, it is poor, therefore they have no money to build good schools or universities to learn. But the young man went anyway, and he arrived there and saw developed and undeveloped land as in all places of the world. And he asked the people there saying, what is a woman? But they laughed at him to his humiliation and said to him, sir is this a joke? Because we do laugh. What man is there that does not know what a woman is? But he certified them of his seriousness because those in other countries answered foolishly. Then the Africans, because at that time the land had not been corrupted by propaganda, said to him, a woman is an adult female human. When he heard these things, he was exceedingly pleased and happy. And he went back to his own country and made a great feast at his home. And his friends and family set at night, round about a fire, to listen to his oration to them. And he spoke with a loud voice. I went to America and I was reviled, Europe and I was called hateful. I was told to go to America or Europe, but no man nor woman answered my question, though they took pride in their knowledge, yet lacked common sense. But in Africa, it was not so, I was neither reviled, nor called a bigot, and more importantly my question was answered. Not that good things are not found in America or Europe, they do exist, yet they are very few. So what is my lesson for you? Don't raise education so high up, seeing how some learn for many years only to know nothing. Rather seek righteousness first, and afterward you can focus on other things, because it is important to be grounded in morals so that you cannot lie, lest if your education is strong but your morals weak, you distort the truth to fit foolishness.
