Hanta Sero sat on his couch with his phone in his hand. He stared at the bright screen displaying the dial screen, the only source of light in his rather dark apartment. His hand made a beeline for the cheap bottle of sake that sat next to him. Bringing it up to his lips, he tilted his head back as he took a big swig of the slightly sweet tasting drink. He wanted to cry, to scream and break things but he could barely get up from his couch. It had only been a few hours since he had gotten home from the hospital, a few hours since he had received the bad news. All he could do afterwards was come home and stare at the wall. The sun had set a few hours ago and his friends had been blowing up his phone, but he couldn’t bring himself to answer them. Instead he spent the hours feeling like his life was falling apart around him.

He had lost you. And it was all his fault.

His thoughts ran around frantically in his mind, if only he had stopped you. Or gone after you. Or apologized and tried to fix things right away instead of letting you walk out of the apartment you both shared to cool off. How could he call himself a hero after knowing his actions lead to your death? He could still remember that night, that argument, and that phone call that made his blood run cold.

It was a week ago, the fight was about something petty: you eating the last of the leftovers from the night before. The leftovers he has specifically told you not to eat. Looking back, he regretted escalating it to the point where it became a shouting fest. He was tired that day, patrol had him run across a few low level villains, and his sidekick was acting up. So when he got home to find his food gone, he snapped, taking out his anger on you. After some back and forth and some hurtful comments thrown both ways, you sighed. Rubbing your temples as you took the keys on the kitchen countertop.

“I’m leaving, going out for a walk. I’ll be back soon.” You stated, walking to the door and opening it. He even remembered his last words to you…

“Of course you are, that’s all you know how to do.” 

He was sure you had heard him, but you headed out the door as if the comment flew over your head. He instantly regretted it, wanting to rush out behind you and apologize but his ego stopped him. 

Half an hour passed by as he sat waiting for you to return, soon becoming an hour. That hour stretched into two until the silence in the apartment was cut by the sound of his ringtone. He didn’t recognize the number, yet picked up, figuring you had left your phone at home and had called him using another phone. 

“Mr. Hanta Sero?” He didn’t recognize the voice.

“Speaking,” he said, a sudden knot building up in his gut as if the person only called to bear him bad news. And his gut was right. The next few things the unknown person said would shatter his soul.

“Please come to Hosu General Hospital immediately...it’s your fiancée, Y/N L/N...they got into a bad accident.”

Sero wasted no time running out the door, with only one thought in his head.

It was his fault.

- finally sum chronic migraine representation 😩🙏

- wait im the one writing this,,,anyway

- your migraines started before you got into UA, and as the stress of learning how to become a pro-hero built on, your migraines got worse

- eventually they got to the point where they would strike every few days, which really made them incredibly hard to deal with

- when you start dating bakugo, you don’t immediately tell him about your migraines (even though his yelling would tend to make them worse)

- instead every time one would come over you, you’d retreat to your room

- your room has black-out curtains, the kind of lights where you can dim them down a bit to the desired setting, AC unit so the room can stay cold (if the cold help with your migraines), and various different things to help you with your migraines

- including (but not limited to) noise cancelling headphones, vapor rub, weighted plush toys, etc.

- (if youre brown u know vapor rub works like god 😩🙏)

- (also idk if this helps other ppl but putting light a pillow thats a bit weighted over my head really helps with my migraines???)

- anyway back to the headcanons

- eventually bakugo realizes that every few days you’d randomly excuse yourself and slip away and hide away somewhere so he was like

- “??? whats up with this shitty woman”

- and confronts you bc he’s bakugo n he’s all about confrontation

- you’d explain to him how you get frequent migraines and how they basically keep you from functioning correctly and that any loud noise or bright light or weird feeling makes it worse

- he goes “oh tch why didnt you say so before”

- internally though he’s making notes

- probably searches stuff up about migraines that night

- he’s super observant so he keeps track of slight changes in your mood and behavior leading up to a migraine

- engraves that shit into his memory

- (hes all tuff n shit on the outside but inside he’s all grr soft to ppl he loves and keeps track of them)

- tries his best to keep his voice at a low volume whenever he sees signs of a migraine building

- others would probably be like “why are you so quiet now”

- and he’s get all defensive and be like “the fuck you mean??? im not quiet”

- even you notice it and are like ??? and ask him

- “its ‘cause your stupid fucking migraines” he’d mutter

- acts like it’s annoying as fuck to him

- but definitely has set up black-out curtains in his own room and changed his lights to the ones where you can dim them

- probably has a pair of noise cancelling headphones in his room too

- keeps advil or ibuprofen with him if your migraines get super bad

- tries his best to make you comfortable whenever you have a migraine

- will definitely grumble while being all cute and caring

- 10/10 boyfriend even tho he got dramatic bitch syndrome

One for All was a tricky quirk to master, especially for the young boy who had been handed down the quirk from the former number one hero, All Might. Some days, it felt like he was fit to become All Might’s successor, the future number 1 hero. Another smiling face citizens could count on to keep them safe. On other days, it felt like he would never be able to master it, to make it his own. 

Today was one of those days. Training was brutal, he could still only use One for All at 8%, and trying to increase the percentage only drained and hurt him. All Might was quick to give pointers but it wasn’t the same, he had been able to use OFA at full power from the start; he was able to make it his own quirk. Despite that, Izuku could not give up. He was All Might’s successor, and he would become the number one hero.

But right now, he needed rest...and cuddles from his significant other. Y/N L/N. Y/N was in the hero course along with Izuku, both in class 1A and sharing a similar passion for pro-heroes and wanting to become top heroes. He’d have to admit, Y/N was more practical, choosing to stay away from the number 1 spot especially when he, Bakugo, and Todoroki were fighting for it. But their quirk paired with their wits was an impressive combination, they were easily one of the most interesting out of the entire class. A smile made place on his face as he turned off the water and started drying himself off. He quickly went about shimmying into his cleaner clothes, being careful not to get them wet from the floor tiles.

Izuku sighed as he exited the baths on the first floor, his hair still wet, forming green ringlets as water dripped down them. His towel hung around his neck, catching most of the excess water though some stray droplets seeped onto the collar of his shirt. A quick glance to the left showed that a bunch of his classmates were crowding around the couch giggling and talking about various topics. He smiled sheepishly to himself as he made his way to the elevators.

The elevator brought him up to the third floor, where your dorm room was. In a few quick strides, he made his way to the front of your door. A quick knock and a muffled “it’s open!” from you allowed him inside. He loved your dorm room, the decor was nothing like his. His own room was filled to the brim with posters and figurines of his all time hero, All Might. Yours was less cluttered with stuff, more clean. On the stand near your window was a vase filled with (favorite flowers), the ones he had given you a few days ago, it filled his heart with joy even though the petals had started wilting. 

You sat on your desk, hunched over what he assumed was the homework for the weekend. He sat on your bed watching you work, watching the way your eyebrows would furrow as you bit your bottom lip. Your H/C hair framed your face so well, his eyes trailed down the slope of your nose and fell on your lips which were now biting the eraser of your pencil. Even in his All Might shirt and shorts, you managed to look goddess-like. The most beautiful person on the Earth in his opinion. 

“Sorry ‘Zuku, I’m almost done I promise.” You muttered, your voice making his heart flutter. He was so in love with you, it was evident in the way he looked at you and interacted with you. Everyone around you knew, you lit up his life and inspired him so much. 

“It’s okay, puppy. Take your time.” He came to stand behind you, his hands on your shoulders rubbing soft little circles between your shoulder blades with his thumbs. In his hands, you were like putty, melting into his touch. A soft sigh fell past your lips as he leaned down to press a chaste kiss to your temple. You hummed in pleasure, dropping your pencil and craning your neck to look up at him.

“How was training, baby?” 

“‘Twas alright.” 

“‘Zuku, I’m very proud of you and your progress so far.”

He buried his face into the crook of your neck, causing a soft smile to grace your lips. You brought your hand up to pat his head, not minding the fact that your shirt--that you stole from him--was getting wet. 

“Do you want to cuddle, baby?”

“Yes, please.” He murmured into your neck, pulling away so you could get up. He went to flop onto the bed, but you beat him to it. Extending your arms, you signalled him to crawl into your arms and lay on top of you. He did so, his head laying on your chest as he clung onto your body like a body pillow. You didn’t mind the moisture of his wet hair seeping into the front of the shirt nor the tickle of the tips of his hair brushing against your nose. 

Laying there with him was nothing short of pure content. He could hear your rapid heartbeat hammer away in your chest as you rubbed circles onto his back. Smiles painted both of your faces. Being with Izuku made you happy, he was so sweet and such an amazing boyfriend and moments like these really brightened your days. Seeing him grow and mature and strengthen both physically and mentally was incredibly inspiring and you were so happy to be included in his journey to become the future number one hero and symbol of peace. His ambitions inspired you and your drive inspired him. 

As you lay there with him on top of you, your eyelids began growing heavy, a yawn slipped past your lips. Deciding it was okay to take a short nap, you kissed the top of the green haired boy’s head.

“I love you Izuku.”

“I love you too Y/N.”
