At first the Bella Thorne situation was like well, it's not a huge deal, but it is problematic because she's:

1. potentially taking away money from other sex workers

2. treating sex work like a science experiment

3. profiting, but not facing the repercussions that real sex workers face (yes "real" because she's not a real sex worker)

5. She's done nothing to show support for decrim or marginalized groups of Sex workers

But NOW that she revealed she's not actually going to be nude, TONS of people are demanding money back and now OnlyFans is capping PPV messages at $50 and tips per post at $100

So the whole thing happened because she's going to be in a movie about an online SW or something and she wanted the "full experience"

She even tweeted something about someone saying "how far are you willing to take it"

But the thing is sex work isn't a joke.

Sex workers are incarcerated for just doing their jobs

Sex workers are killed for doing their jobs

Sex workers are denied other jobs because of being an SW

Sex workers face real and serious consequences every day and Bella Thorne is not going to get "the full experience " just because she made an OF account. And now WE are facing the repercussions for this stupid stunt.

I get that she probably didn't mean any harm, but when you act without doing any research and other people have to deal with the backlash because of your incompetence and ignorance....that sucks.

The least she could do is donate that money to Sex Workers in need or to help fight for decrim. Sorry this isnt super eloquent. I'm very upset.

westerners are obsessed with the idea of happiness as if it’s a constant state of being. happiness comes in moments. you dont “achieve” happiness. you experience it along with every other emotion on the spectrum. if you spend your life chasing this constructed idea of happiness you will never even be remotely content. work on being whole and feeling everything while increasing the happy moments. stop trying to be a “happy person.” just be a person.

i honestly believe human beings are not meant to live like this. we are meant to live in loving communities and be around nature every day and grow our own food and create art and not work day and night until we die. this longing for another life is not human nature, it’s a symptom of modern society.

sometimes u just gotta say “okey dokey” and just like.. rely on urself.. take things as impersonally as u can.. love and let go.. move on.. try and find all the good things, soak those in. and that’s all u can do! and sometimes, that’s enough

some people would argue that all love is a choice. and the idea that love involves a series of choices is an old concept. but know that it applies to platonic relationships as well as romantic. you have the choice to decide if the traits your friend has are traits you can accept. you have the choice to decide if you want to work on communication and developing boundaries with a friend. you have the choice to let a friend or a lover go if you’ve had a bad argument. you have the choice to accept or decline an apology. and it’s a choice whether or not you walkaway when someone refuses to apologize. a reminder: you yourself can be the toxic party if you say you want to move forward with a friend/lover but you’re constantly reminding them of things you don’t like that they’ve done..or you’re constantly critiquing their personality... choosing to stay is a big decision and a commitment and it’s work. but it’s still a choice. one that you constantly make. and at any time you can change your decision. it’s freeing and it’s scary. all we can do is try our best to choose wisely.

03.07.20 / happy friday my friends ♡ i’m back to writing and outlining today. i revisited my theme mind map now that i’m getting ready to do my first edit. i also began listing all the tasks i need to do for my 3rd wip. the first page of all my wip journals starts with the list of planning tasks i need to do before beginning the writing process. i highly recommend it for people like me who love to plan and strategize!!
