Sending my love and support to neurodivergent/disabled Muslims this Ramadan.
Muslims who can’t fast for health reasons. Your health always comes first. If you need to eat due to medication, diabetes, ED recovery, or any other reason, it’s good that you’re doing that. There’s so much more to Ramadan than just fasting.
Muslims who struggle with remembering salah or reciting Quran. Disabled Muslims who can’t perform the movements of salah the way that other Muslims do. Nonverbal Muslims who can’t pray or recite with mouth words at all.
Muslims who are immunocompromised and can’t go to things like taraweeh or iftar or praying in the masjid. I know that it’s isolating, I hope you’re able to still enjoy Ramadan and find community. Please keep yourself safe this month and always.
Muslimahs who can’t wear hijab due to sensory issues.
Muslims with sleep disorders who struggle to wake up for Fajr.
Muslims who struggle with addiction to alcohol, drugs, substances in general. Your addiction is not your fault and having addictions is not haram.
Muslims who are told that mental illness isn’t real, whose issues are swept aside.
I also want to give a special shout-out to queer Muslims. Muslims who are not able to present as the gender that they are. Muslims who don’t know which side of the mosque to go to. Muslims being pressured to find straight relationships, who have to hide their real relationships or the fact that they don’t want a relationship at all. Muslims who are out and proud, Muslims who are closeted. It goes the other way too. Muslims who face Islamophobia within the Queer community. Allah SWT made you just the way you’re supposed to be, you are not haram.
Shoutout to reverts as well, especially reverts who don’t have a Muslim community. Maybe no one around you even knows you’re Muslim at all. Maybe you’re eating and fasting and praying alone all month, but that won’t be forever. You’ll find your community.
Remember: “With hardship comes ease.” It’s okay if Ramadan is not an easy time for you, things will get better. Allah SWT tests those that He loves the most. You are not alone this month, you are never alone.

btw now is the best time to keep boycotting. the israeli economy has never been weaker. don't stop the protests or the demands for divestment. keep supporting organisations like the Hind Rajab Foundation and the Accountability Archive. ofc don't stop boosting and donating to Palestinians as Gaza is still uninhabitable.
enjoy this moment but the work has not ended

ICE raids are starting on Tuesday in Chicago.
Yell “ICE” and “LA MIGRA” to disrupt them. Notify people and use your privilege as a citizen to make ICE’s job as difficult as possible.
Fascism has been here. It’s just loud now. Time to be loud too.

With the ceasefire taking place in just a few hours, the Zionists have been bombing the Ghazzans relentlessly with over 80 Palestinian lives lost to the murderous zionist machine. We expect a lot of things to change once the ceasefire commences, and one of primary goals was to await the opening of the Rafah border crosser so that Nader and his family could escape!
Nader is my heart and soul, his life is in my hand and yours. He is a brother to me and I've come to learn a lot about his life in Ghazza as well as having wonderful conversations with him. I have helped Nader since August 2024 in order to secure as much money as possible, so that him and his family can cross the border once it opens. We've been through much, with zionists bombs flashing before their eyes every day, and zionists on this site trying to prevent the Palestinians to secure funds. I have been anxious and worried that there might have been a day where I wouldn't be able to reach him, knowing fully well that the Zionists would claim him. But alhamdulillah, Allah has perserved Nader and his family to this day from them.
This is the moment we've been waiting for. Nader and his family are soon at their goal and once they secure the money needed, they can finally cross the border and reach safety. We started at a mere 15.000 usd, and we're almost at 100.000 usd, which is enough to secure safe passage for his entire family.
THE CEASEFIRE STARTS AT 6:30 AM GST.
We've come so far! Let's push through one final time, to save Nader and his family.

Please don’t skip 🍉🇵🇸
✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #442 )✅️
"I am Khawla from Gaza, 34 years old. I stand before you as a person trying to support her family of 5: Me, my husband, and my three children: Muhammad, who is 5 years old; Sham, who is 3 years old; and Ghazal, who is nearly a year and a half old. In our terrible conditions, My son Muhammad contracted hepatitis from drinking contaminated water, and both he and Sham are deprived of their right to register in kindergarten, daycare, or other educational institutions. Additionally, due to the circumstances and lack of income, necessary benefits like milk are not provided to baby Ghazal.🫂💙🥺
With that, my husband's livelihood ha been completely destroyed since we are no longer entitled to work; and we expect to live under miserable conditions in tents in Mawasi Khan Yunis. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza; with no food, no medicine, no clean drinking water; with oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts, and daily traumas caused by everything around us and inability to care for loved ones. the fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us🍉🫶
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, especially my children, by getting us out of Gaza or helping us have money for medication or other necessities we may have access to. Asking for help is not easy, but we were left with no choice because we want to survive and we strive to rebuild our broken lives. We are very grateful for any help you can provide, no matter how small, as your help will contribute greatly to alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your family and friends."🍉🍉💙🇵🇸🇵🇸

Okay, without trying to take away from the joy we are feeling, we must stay vigilant. This ceasefire deal is 3 phases, the first is a 42 day pause for hostage exchange which is set to start on SUNDAY, as long as Netanyahu’s cabinet signs off on it. The IOF is not expected to fully retreat from Gaza, but stay to ‘mandated zones’. Palestinians are meant to be able to return to their homes, but with Israeli soldiers still there, this is not a guarantee. The 600 aid trucks a day into Gaza during this 42 day phase 1 is still not enough.
THIS IS NOT OVER. We do not know the details of phase 2 and 3, and nothing has been agreed for these phases in writing. We must not get complacent in this moment of respite. Please, do not stop fighting. This is not over until every Palestinian can return home, until the occupation is gone, until all of Palestine is free.
Keep protesting and campaigning, keep donating because aid organisations need all the help they can get, especially in the next 6 weeks, and it might be the only window people get to evacuate. This is a step in the right direction, but it is not over.

hihi! Im an agender queer, and researching into islam, its a fascinating religion, but everytime I try to do research im bombarded with homophobia and transphobia which just gives me a headache lmao, so I was wondering what would be the best place to start? the quran itself? and then the hadiths?
Salaam! First of all, I'm so glad that you're researching into Islam, and regardless of if you find a home in the religion or not, I am so happy that you took the time to study it. And I'm so sorry that you're finding homophobia/transphobia, because that truly is not the religion at all.
I always recommend starting with the Quran, and then, if you feel you need it, looking at specifically queer-affirming interpretations! The Quran itself is not anti-LGBTQ in any way, and it's a bit old but i found a really good doc on the queer muslims reddit that i turn to often. Hadiths are great, but sadly there is a bit of confirmation bias in the context that anti-queer muslims will recommend anti-queer interpretations of the hadiths, which again, go against the religion :(

Hopefully this isnt tmi // I am an asexual, I dont intend or want to experience sexual stimulation or intend to have sex in the future. With this in mind, is it haram to read literary works such as erotic fiction? I am aware it is all in my head and do not have plans to act on it
Salaam! Don't worry, not TMI at all, and even if it was, that's what I'm here for lol.
This not haram, as it's just fiction! It's not haram to read about murder, rape, infidelity, abuse, etc - all of which are WAY worse than something as simple as sex - so why should erotica be haram, IMO?
Books like this are unfortunately stigmatized, but haram? Absolutely not <3

My name is Nour, and I’m 21 years old from northern Gaza.
I once lived a peaceful life with simple dreams, but everything changed on October 7th, 2023, when war tore through Gaza. I had to flee my home, leaving behind everything I knew, and now I live alone in a tent made of torn fabric in southern Gaza.
The constant bombings are unbearable, but being a lesbian in a society that rejects me is even harder.
I live in constant fear of judgment and violence. On top of this, I face extreme shortages of food, water, and basic supplies.
Life has become a daily fight for survival.
Dear LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters around the world, I turn to you in my time of desperate need. I have no one else to ask for help. The world around me looks at me with disgust, and I can no longer bear this life. I am exhausted, broken, and alone. Please, I beg you, help me leave this place and find safety, dignity, and a chance to live as myself. I cannot survive here any longer. Your support is my only hope.
Every day, I fear for my life. But I refuse to give up. I want to live. Please, your support can make all the difference. Every donation, no matter how small, gives me hope for a better tomorrow.
Please Take Action Now‼️

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Whenever I see a queer invalidate another queer's relationship with god, I just get disappointed. "We need more complex queers!" You can't even handle religious queer people.

sickness doesn't give you a break when you're living through an active genocide.
i'll get straight to the point. @tamer200333's sister is in need of medical aid. she suffers from pulmonary fibrosis. no aid has entered gaza in nearly 6 months and the cost of her treatment has increased exponentially. she needs to be on an oxygen cylinder and needs medicines to get better.
she is very sick and her life depends on whether the family can afford medical aid for her. please share and donate if you have the means to.
