Pokémon time!
I love pokémon. I haven't, like, PLAYED the games or anything, just FireRed and emerald, along with some romhacks, but i am absolutely in love with the silly little guys and eldrich creatures that you get to catch in the body of a (sometimes) 10 year old guy wearing shorts and a hat.
So! Naturally, I have a bunch of OCs that are pokémon. Well, I dunno if I'd call them 'OCs', more like 'Pokémon I like, bundled up together along with a trainer who fits the OC category better, who have names and personalities that I think would fit them according to their natures'.
And, to date, I have like... 9? 12 of them? And I'm gonna talk about them here!
First! My favorite and beloved fire croc, Fuecoco. I don't have a name for 'em yet, but I imagine them being the complete foil to their trainer, who is shy and reserved. Fuecoco is a silly little guy, and as a silly little guy, he's the sweetest best thing invented after sliced bread. So he'd the reason our trainer has most of his earlier interactions and adventures! Fuecoco went off into the forest to pick up a berry, only to get it snatched by a bird pokémon, like pidgey or wattrel. Something like that.
Second; Party animal gholdengo! I'm unsure on how they'd meet, but! This gholdengo would be childish, energetic and very enthusiastic. Before evolving though, he'd be a greedy little guy who wants nobody to touch the coins he stores on his chest, but will accept donations. I like to think that this gholdengo would be able to replicate human speech, and he'd show his trainer that it's fine to be a bit goofy and that they can, in fact, talk to people without exploding or suddenly combusting into flames.
Third; An urshifu. Urshifu Rapid strike, specifically, don't ask me why (competitive pokémon). I imagine this Urshifu rapid strike to be calm, but dedicated and determined Pokémon, who loves to go swimming and trains nonstop to become stronger. Maybe our trainer finds him as a kubfu punching trees to toughen up his knuckles, or maybe he saves our trainer from a strong, wild pokémon with a rapid succesion of blows, getting them back to the water tower for safety, and finally proving their worth of keeping the legendary pokémon, and evolving them into Rapid Strike after a training arc.
And finally, fourth; A tyranitar! Another silly goofy guy, except this one is way too strong for their own good. I think it's mentioned in a pokedex entry that Tyranitar is capable of moving trees and mountains in order to make its nest, so I imagine this Tyranitar would love to give their trainer little rocks and trinkets as gifts, or even pick up randomg berries they find during expeditions, even as a Larvitar. They'd be very frustrated as Pupitar though, since they would loose their limbs and be stuck as a cocoon until evolving.
Anyways, that's it for today! I gotta go to bed and be a responsible adult with my sleep schedule -w-"

My MHA OC and their whole-ass family:
Now, I don't like, post. At all. BUT, today I felt the need to scream into the void about my Original Character™ because, why not? First, the main character of the family; Fred Adams.
Fred is this hyperactive and genuine guy that comes from the USA (where his whole family resides). He's pretty reckless, and has some undiagnosed ADHD, for some extra ✨Flavor✨ (And trust me, this is important for later!)
His quirk, and his dad's side of the family's quirk, is called Ink. As you can guess, it consists on the manipulation of ink. BUT, it's Cool™. The way it works is that, the user can summon ink out of their body by combining the elements necessary for it from inside the body to then push it outwards through the skin. Once outside, the ink can be modified in things like viscocity, color, and solidness. The ink can be moved around and manipulated like an extra limb, but in order to be controlled, it has to be in contact with the user's skin. It can also stick to surfaces, and be condensed to increase its weight, but that also makes it more difficult to move around.
Now, this is when it gets interesting.
This description is only completely true with Fred's dad's, Smith Adams, version of the quirk, and those preceding him. This is because quirks evolve over time, and become stronger. Also, part of me thinks that people's bodies in the MHA universe also evolve to adapt to said quirks, which is why the 'doomsday quirk singularity' theory might not actually be true, but that's just my speculation.
Anyways, let's talk a bit about Smith before getting into the juicy details.
Fred's dad.
Smith Adams, who goes by the hero name of 'Midnight Quill', uses his ink quirk in a very advanced way, storing up large amounts of ink as a suit of armor which he uses to rescue people and fight villains, as well as capturing them with hand, condensed cocoons of ink. Smith is very, very different from his son, at least on the outside. He's calm, eloquent and a big softie. I like to imagine he cries a lot whenever Fred achieves something big, like let's say he wins a match at the sports festival tournament, he's just out there yelling his ass off for his son while sobbing uncontrollably.
This is all to say that; Smith's got a huge lot of experience with his quirk! And, he's eager to pass that down to Fred as soon as his quirk first awakened. So by the point he'd enroll in UA, he'd have a good idea on how his quirk works and how to use it, but he'd still get his ass handed to him by someone at some point, that doesn't matter.
Back to Fred!
Quirk wise, though! And this is what I wanted to talk about, is that Fred's version of the quirk is BUSTED. BUT, he can't make full use of it, like, ever. For whatever reason, Fred's quirk evolved and allowed him for an even larger amount of control over his ink. And by larger, I mean LARGER. Like, molecular-level type of larger. But sadly, he can't really use that power to the fullest. Changing the molecular structure of his ink takes not only a lot of focus, but sacrifices his ability to move around the object like an extra limb. Plus, it takes him focus to keep the ink transmuted, which... Fred doesn't have a lot of.
So, Fred and Smith train a lot together, at least before Fred's enrollment on U.A. (I dunno what I'll do with this, btw. I just like making detailed OCs because.) Now, the reason why Fred even got into U.A in the first place, a hero school all the way out in Japan, is because Smith ALSO went there. So he's following on his famous hero father's footsteps. I like to imagine that he got there with a recommendation letter FROM his dad, kinda like Todoroki, but that just serves to set him up more, not much else.
What about Fred's mom? What's she like?
I am glad you asked, me! Fred's mom is a pop singer! She's famous, and she loves to sing, but what I love most about her is that she plays a big part on Fred and Smith's dynamic, too. Her name is Jane Adams (her ARTIST name, though, is Perla Kerrins, cause it's cool and she's cool like that), and she's a lot more grounded and stoic, while still sharing similarities with her husband, Smith. She's a big jokester, and loves to hit them both hard with jokes and comebacks and the like. HER quirk is also busted, but it's a lot simpler than ink! It's called 'Quick instincts' and, as the name suggest, gives her instincts that are fast. More accurately though, it speeds up the way her brain processes information, allowing her to react faster, along with a sharper brain and IQ, which influenced Fred's ability to process information, too.
Imagine having a quirk that works similar to Momo's in the sense that you need to memorize molecular structures in order to transform things, you'd need to be pretty smart.
Also, she's killer at smash bros. Like, really, really good. And it's not just because of her quirk, either. Jane and her side of the family mostly share it, and she's still better than them.
Videogame night!
Once every few months, all of Jane and Smith's families come together to celebrate either birthdays, big achievements, etcetera. And they always have an in-house tournament where they all compete. Although Smith's side of the family isn't much for videogames (they're all into art more), they still participate to have fun. JANE's side of the family though... Especially the younger ones, take it like an E-sports event. Still, there's rarely ever been a time where Jane hasn't won, and you can count those times with just one hand.
Still, they all have fun. Smith loves to play despite being not that good, and loves cheer for her wife when she plays, and boast about her when she wins.
Fred loves to play, and has even gotten close to winning against Jane, but no luck so far. He loves the other event they always do, though, and that's
Mural painting!
Smith's side of the family loves art. And what better way to bond over art than with painting a whole mural? Or a big canvas, either works, and they like to keep 'em in a big warehouse. They love using their quirks to make big paintings on walls or big pieces of paper, and it's a fun experience for everyone, since they also take suggestions from Jane's side of the family, and just the members who don't have the ink quirk in general.
And... Yeah, that's all I have for now! Whew, it feels good to type down stuff and just immortalize them on the internet. Byyee!!
