Bye, Bye

I remember the first time I had to say goodbye. Of course, I was a child back then when I first got to say the word. I cannot remember the exact time, but I remember playing games and saying "bye" to my family as if I'd go somewhere else. A typical children's game.

Growing old and going through a lot, I never thought how much pain it would cause to say goodbye especially to the people you love.

I have been separated with my mom since I was eight since she died. I lived with my father and my younger sister. Later through the years, I never expected to say goodbye to more people in my life. Now, leaving me with only my sister.

It really is painful to see your family slowly falling apart, slowly losing important members. Losing people so important to us has a big impact on our lives. From getting used to the lifestyle that you had when they were still around to getting used to the lifestyle that I have without them. It really is difficult.

But goodbye isn't the end. Goodbye isn't forever. Goodbye is just the beginning. It means that we should become stronger each day and we must always show how much we love these people so that we would not have any regrets.

We might lose the people we love the most, but we shouldn't lose ourselves. Trust the process. Everything will be okay.
