Or more accurately, he’s Sokka if you took away Sokka’s wits, his charm, and his humility.  The end result is a perpetually horny little shit that’s not funny, not charming, but the yaoi fangirls all overlook it because they think he looks cute with Keith.  

But since his normal personality is too much of a jerk and likes women too much, shippers make a new personality for him whole cloth that more often than not, looks like a gay version of Lelouch from Code Geass down to being a tactical genius and having several characters in love with him.  "Razzle Dazzle" huh guys?  Lance is just a jerk and he’s not as smart as you think.
