"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hi! I am Jeric, the fearless, hardworking and an imaginative person who, until now, tries to be someone else he really want to.
Growing up, I was absolutely confused of what and who I really was. But later on, the notion of being scared came into, that I realized that it can also be an indicator of me, being confused. As a little boy who saw the reality of life especially when it comes to gender, it really scares me to be judged and for the people to call me names and even label me some connotations that really get me anxious and depressed.
Day by day, I was always contemplating, if still, I will pursue showing who I really was.
However, as I get older and matured, I realized that hiding or masking and attempting to uphold a good picture will not help me grow as a person. With this, I always felt like in jail where in there is no freedom in pursuing to show my true color. With that being said, I decided to go out masking myself not for the seek of feeding everyone's happiness but for my own welfare.
Because as quoted by Ralph Waldo Emerson, "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."

Nuestra Señora de Borongan
In commemoration of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Padul-ong Festival is being celebrated by the Boronganon every 8th day of September to pay homage to its Patroness. The festival commemorates the day they received the image of Mary after it was shipped by a mysterious lady from Portugal. In addition, as part of celebrating the fiesta, a morning mass is also being conducted every 7th day of September in an old fashioned chapel at Barangay Punta Maria.
Prior to the said occasion, the city government organized an ample of day-and-night activities that gaves the Boronganon, and even the visitors outside the town, to have an exceptional and spectacular experience. To wit, University Night, Tuklas Grand Finals, Dasig, Vesper Night Grand Ball, Padul-ong Festival and Marching Band Parades are just a few of those tons of activities.
However, among the activities mentioned, the Padul-ong Festival is the only one I've watched via live streaming.
While watching Padul-ong Festival, I was being thrilled and fascinated seeing those dancers showing their unique movements and costumes. I was also being mesmerized with the thousands of crowds watching the events Although, it was not that clear watching due to its some technical error, but all in all, I enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you for reading.
