Reblogging this, which is based on work from @amanda-multifandom. Thanks to her, Jedda is officially what she was meant to be, a Gordon.
@queen-olivia-daniels: Okay, the articles on Rick and Jedda are updated with what perhaps comes across as balanced, clear information. They might just stay this way until Defenders Chronicles: Highlander ends.

The Plot Thickens
(Spoilers) And this is that moment when one starts to think, "Wait, is this film actually going to have a less typical and more fascinating conclusion than the usual suspense narrative? Instead of getting knocked senseless and sent away, like other naughty types, is this girl smart enough to avoid that fate -- and able to give herself everything she wants?" Definitely an engaging scene. ❤

More Art
All. Hail. The. QUEEN!
I love these altered images, which depict Olivia without the swimsuit. This isn't intended as a kinky thing. Artistically, the idea is to present her as even more powerful by having her appear more relaxed, almost like she's bathing. Bathing in magnificence. 😀
In other nice news, the lyrics to her theme song have been posted on IMDB.com. They were a little tricky for me to make out in the film at first, due to the dialogue, though the last bit was clear. I think it's a perfect tune for Olivia.

This is incredible! I absolutely LOVE seeing Olivia get some well-deserved pampering as she lays back and enjoys herself like the queen she is. 😀

Intro
Welcome! These posts are dedicated to the character Olivia Daniels -- played by the fantastic Alexa Sutherland -- from the film Deadly Cheer Mom.
Spoilers follow. If you haven't seen DCM, check it out before continuing.
So why Liv? Because she stole the show! As the film's narrative progresses, Olivia is revealed to be more complex than initially suggested, and she remains that way right up until the end.
Speaking of that last part, you could say that the resolution caused quite a stir among certain members of the audience. Conversely, there were those who didn't take it too seriously, and commended the creators for daring to be different. Sometimes it's just fun rooting for a smart and charming vixen. The people who crafted Olivia created a queen.
Simply put, in the bold ending, Olivia got EVERYTHING she wanted. As mentioned, there were viewers who whined up a storm. 😉 The rest of us recognized the complexity of this layered character, applauded the excellence of Alexa Sutherland, and appreciated the cleverness of the film's writer, Lauren Balson Carter, who gave us a far less cliched conclusion than we usually get in suspense films. While it might be nice to see Queen Olivia again, it's probably best to simply let her have her happily-ever-after. 😀 👑

Defending Queen Olivia
Spoilers follow.
Understatement: Deadly Cheer Mom was controversial. Some people can't stand that Olivia won. But come on now. Olivia had to deal with an unfair coach and a horrible mother. The former was constantly holding her back, while the latter was frequently dragging her down (to say the least). So what did she do? She took what was hers. She ended the film with payback, stature, privilege, and love, claiming several things that she'd been denied. I like how the very last image we see is a shot of her eyes as they open up, showing how gratified she feels -- and that she's a force to be reckoned with. 😀 👑

Olivia Moments
Spoilers follow.
That moment when we meet her.
That moment after we learn more. Also a scene in which she looks adorable.
That moment after her plans have succeeded. Also one in which she looks beautiful.
That moment when there are only a few seconds left in the film. Also the moment when you realize Olivia really is going to win. LOL.
Yes! I love that it ends this way! The brilliant, beautiful Olivia gets everything she wants. The film acknowledges Olivia as its central character, and Olivia, herself, recognizes her own magnificence, living happily ever after. The end. Roll credits. :)
