An Update / Request for Help
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to make an update to my situation. In October, I lost my apartment and had to move in with some elderly relatives. I have spent the last several months here recuperating my physical health and am improving in some ways on that. I thank you all for the number of comments and messages sent my way in my absence. I do not have full access to the internet where I am and can only get on here once in a while now.
While some things are going better, I am still in a rough place; I'm still unable to work (not that there are many options here as the Population 400 town I'm in has a bank, a post office, one restaurant and literally nothing else).
While my relatives have been very kind to offer me their guest room, they are unable to help beyond that. To afford food, gas, etc I'm still having to sell my personal items to make do.
If you enjoy my little blog here, and have the ability to without hurting yourself, I am asking for any available help. My PayPal is [email protected] and my CashApp is $1980sactionfigures. Anything helps right now.
Thank you all again for being so awesome and I hope to be checking in as I can Much love and thanks,
Madison

Cyndi Lauper photographed by Annie Leibovitz, 1983.
“When I explained my vision to Janet Perr, who was the art director, she suggested Coney Island,” Lauper said. “Janet and I went together to location scout with Annie Leibowitz who was the photographer — I was so lucky to work with Annie on my first album cover — and we came upon the Roberto Clemente building and we knew it would be the perfect backdrop. I wanted it to be a study of midday light. It’s my favorite time of day as far as lighting goes.”

Rio

Duran Duran

The identity of the model whose likeness graced the cover of Duran Duran’s album “Rio” has finally been revealed.
Marcie Hunt-Dinkel, the co-owner of a small winery in Napa, is the woman with the “cherry ice cream smile” who inspired Patrick Nagel’s artwork for the classic 1982 album, experts confirmed.
The band’s fans spent decades searching for the original image used by the Playboy illustrator. Over the weekend, Mark Walker, a Nagel expert, and art broker Monica Moynihan, a fan of the artist, announced their discovery on Instagram.
