get five people drunk as shit
set them on a quest
come back 18 hours later or however long it takes for you to herd them all back together
go through everyone's accounts of everything that happened last night, and write them all down
take everything at face value, and assume everything to be true
if two individuals' accounts of the same incident vary or contradict, assume that these are separate incidents. if one of them said they fought three cops, and another one says there were four, assume they faced off seven police officers with a brief interval
also take everything they thought at the time at face value. If one of them fell into a hole and for five minutes everyone thought they died, but then they climbed back up again, this individual naturally briefly died and then came back from the dead.
Edit the scriptures for clarity, and file it in a secure place. This is how history is written, and legends are made.

Rewatched The Good Place for the first time since s4 dropped and. Oh my god. The Good Place said "people are a result of their environment but we always have a moral responsibility to be better" and The Good Place said "every day the world gets a little more complicated and it gets a little harder to be good" and The Good Place said "even in the face of total nihilism, when nothing you do will matter, you still have to at least try. Because trying is better than the alternative" and The Good Place said "if you have bills to pay and shit to deal with you don't have time or energy to become a better person" and then The Good Place really said "people get better when they get external love and support. How can we hold it against them when they don't " and THEN The Good Place really said "no one is irredeemable. Everyone can try to be better today than they were yesterday" AND THEN! The Good Place said "Heaven is just enough time with the people that you love" OH MY FUCKING GOD.

Leftist antisemitism is so insidious
It is intentionally constructed so people cannot acknowledge that it is in fact antisemitism
It dresses up decades-to-millennia old anti-Jewish propaganda and conspiracies in progressive language
It does not allow Jewish people to define antisemitism
It leaves no room for nuance where nuance is vital
It reduces complex history and an even more complex geopolitical conflict into a litmus test
It sorts Jews into "Good Jew" and "Bad Jew"
It denies Jews equal access to public life and equal accommodations
It turns harassing and hating Jews into praxis while claiming to love Jewish people, you don't hate Jews you just hate [vital aspect of Jewish identity] and believe it must be eradicated
It denies that Jews are an oppressed class, instead framing Jews as the true oppressors, or only allows Jews to be seen as oppressed in ways that benefit the non-Jewish individual
It makes anyone who points out the dangerous rhetoric or who refuses to submit themselves to it look like an enemy of anti-oppression work who must be harassed into silence
It frames antisemitism on the right as the only antisemitism while denying antisemitism being possible on the left and abandoning Jews to face all antisemitism
It only accepts Jews who so desperate for approval they are willing to abandon their people and mold themselves into the caricature of the Good Jew, who tells them what they want to hear and attacks their own community
It claims to hate antisemites as a monolithic bad guy to claim moral superiority while never once speaking up for Jews and platforming anti-Jewish stances
There are a million other ways that it is harmful, it's terrifying looking at the people who claim to care about the marginalized and the oppressed and knowing the majority will never actually care about you and your people when it really counts

I keep thinking about that one post that was going around talking about the potential origins of cheese and everyone immediately jumps to it must've been rotten milk that they ate out of desperation. But I'd like to posit that the first cheese was probably someone adding an acid to warmed milk and realising it splits it. Like it's not that big a stretch of the imagination for someone to think "oh I like warm milk but I also like this acidic fruit, I wonder if I can mix them". From there a little experimentation on separating the new curd from the whey and you've got a simple fresh cheese.
I dunno I think the reason I wanted to make this post is just that we tend to desscribe a lot of discoveries around food as desperate acts of starvation and not genuinely thought out experimentations based on observations like every other form of human knowledge. Ancient people weren't stupid starving unwashed masses and it's important to remember that. They were people who could think and deduce and logic their way through things as good as you or I.

lemony snicket once said
"There are good people and bad people in the world. The ones who start the fires, and the ones that put them out."
but I would like to add-
"the gray area becomes apparent when you realize that some people set fires to burn, and some people set fires to keep warm."
