The necessity of fucking warming up for any hobby activity- writing, arts and crafts, doing a podcast, team-based video games- is easily one of god's greatest nerfs on my spoons. I don't have unlimited energy to spend dicking around with practice, but I also don't have infinite energy to waste on serious attempts that go nowhere.
