genuinely starting to resent the popular tumblr userbase in the recent couple of months, just seeing what posts (and who) gets reblogs and what doesn't. everyone's blog could be a case study.
in this past day one of my joke posts from a year ago gained almost 2k notes. my posts about my friend Hazem's family (verified family #281 on evacuation spreadsheet) has gotten less than 100. they've only raised less than €500 in this entire day and there hasn't been a donation in 3 hours.
if everyone who reblogged the joke post in the past 24 hours donated just €10, Hazem's family would not only have the funds to not go hungry but also be evacuated. this is how dire it is.
the parents are facing a real, terrifying possibility of not being able to evacuate with their children. please help them get to their 50k goal.

Trapped Family in Gaza Appeals for Help to Survive
A Plea for Help from Gaza: A Family Seeking Safety
Hello, I am Samar Shamiya, married to Hashem Al-Shawish (@hashemsh92) . I have a child born in the war, his name is Omar. He is 6 months old.
We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.
We struggle daily to survive in an environment filled with threats and dangers.
We are originally from the north of the Gaza Strip, but at the beginning of the war we were displaced several times without anything. Our house was completely destroyed and we are now homeless.
We urgently appeal for your moral and financial assistance to cover the necessary costs for escaping to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure our family's safety.
We are in desperate need of your support. Any donation, no matter how small, can help save our lives. Thank you for your attention and support during these harsh times.
My house was destroyed and I lost my job and everything we had in this country. I feel great pain writing for you, as I have to start this campaign to save myself and my people from this human disaster. We live in harsh conditions, and we only have hope after being displaced several times from our home. Now, we are fighting for the most basic necessities to survive - drinking food and water.. Imagine with me that you wake up every day and don't know how to get a meal for your kids. Imagine the anxiety that grips you as you try so hard to protect your family from hunger and thirst. This is our daily reality. Your donation, no matter how small, can have a great impact. It can provide us with a meal, a clean water bottle, or a moment of safety under these difficult conditions. Every donation brings with it a ray of hope, alleviates our suffering and gives us strength to face a new day. Please donate and support the resilience of the Gazan people, especially citizens in the north of the Gaza Strip, and share this campaign with your friends and families. Together, we can make a difference and help my family get through this ordeal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity and support. My warm greetings. Motaz
I want to save the lives of my family and escape death.
reminder that donating just a few $ to gofundme campaigns actually helps, you don't have to donate huge amounts if you don't have the funds, every little bit is useful. give $10, $5, even $1. it all adds up. don't scroll past because you think you can't help. help in your own capacity. donate a dollar. share and speak up.

We lost our home, all our dreams and memories were destroyed, and everything we built over the past years was lost. We have become without shelter or a place to live or live in. 😞💔
PLEASE HELP AND STAND BY US
We were displaced from Gaza to Rafah at the beginning of the war, and we survived the genocide that occurred, We somewhat found some peace there as it was a safe area, but unfortunately, after Rafah was attacked, we left under bombing, destruction, and gunfire.
My children and I saw death, and we were displaced again. To Nuseirat, as it is somewhat a safe area, but there is no safety after the attack on Nuseirat a month ago. We have lived an unforgettable experience of fear, death, and genocide, and now I wish that everything would end and that I and my young children would be saved from all of this. They have no fault in what is happening, so I created the link so that they can have a better life and escape this genocide that is stalking them and eliminating their childhood 💔💔

Dear beloved friends, My name is Mahmoud Alkhaldi. I am a Palestinian refugee living with my fiancée and family in a catastrophic situation-in tents- in Rafah. However, for 116+ days, me and my family have been under intense bombing and warplanes rockets in the Gaza strip. I’m asking funds to evacuate (5) members of my family from Gaza to a safe place in Egypt, including my younger brother (Mohammed, his wife, and his 1 and half year son Yasser), and me and my fiancée Sujood). It could be very expensive and costly to evacuate a war zone at a miserable time like this. We will need approximately $50000 and a lot of prayers
My home was cozy, beautiful, and warm before the war. Here is some pictures for our house before the war
Our home was targeted in a tank bombing on the 25th of November 2023 that left it unlivable, along with the entire neighborhood of Al-Burij refugee camp, in Gaza City.
When we returned back to our home to get some needed itemsand clothes, we found that Israeli soldiers also steal our belongings. Since that day, my family has been sleeping in a miserable tent in Rafah, in the south of Gaza, which has become a home for all people from the Gaza strip, whose homes were also destroyed by airstrikes, but they have survived thus far.
I can't express how useless and depressed we felt after finding out what they'd been through and are currently going through. Each moment, we worry about losing them. Without connection settings, we cannot constantly contact them. During the moment of typing, over 25,0000 individuals have been killed in Gaza. They are without electrical power or heating for a period of three months, food is limited, and their drinking water is unsafe for human consumption. My family's only hope is to evacuate to to a safer place out of Gaza. My family went through the loss of several friends, and many of them have lost their spouses and children. I am afraid of losing my family. They are the light that leads me through my life. I cannot live or survive without them.
The expenses of travel for 5 people are as follows:
• $50000 for the boarding pass (Egyptian coordination) to pass Rafah border, 10000$ for each person.
We are need your help and support in raising $50000 to transport them from Gaza to Egypt. Once the cash are put in the US bank account, they will be deposited to my family's bank account. He intended to utilize the funds to cover the costs of going to Egypt as soon as feasibl
Colin Morgan was working full force to make us cry in this ep… He’s so amazing✨
When Gaius told him about Balinor the emotion on his face surged up to the full scale within seconds. It looked like tears would be rolling down any moment.
The beautiful face when Merlin saw his father for the first time. It was like he was searching for resemblance or waiting for Balinor to recognise him. He couldn’t speak aloud a lot of things but everything was so clearly shown on Colin's face.
Merlin was so adorable when Arthur hopped back and told him Balinor was considering 🥺 He looked at Arthur and then Balinor with shining eyes full of hope. Almost like a child. In contrast Arthur’s face was grim even though he spoke with confidence. He didn’t really believe what he said but he had to keep the hope up.
Love the way Merlin said “Well there’s no point.” His expression was so strained and complicated. It’s visible how all the arguments and feelings were jumbled in his head. He wanted to try more, maybe reveal his identity, but it all seemed futile and Arthur was calling, he could only squeeze out the few words.
The talk in the woods was amazing!! The way Merlin said “I’m your son” 💕His voice was shivering in sheer happiness it’s like the emotion he pushed down for this entire time just burst out uncontrollably. His eyes looked wet all of a sudden and shone beautifully under orange sunlight.
Then there was the campfire talk 🥰Merlin’s smile was so bright and young. His face literally lit up at “Good night son”. The way he mouthed a few times before saying “Sleep well father” as to feel the words or to practice it. The sentence sounded so rigid like reading a script it’s so perfect. Then he just couldn’t stop smiling for a whole 10 seconds 🥹 Precious.
Merlin’s crying face 😭😭 What hurt the most was that he had to quickly cover it up in front of Arthur, and though he managed to turn to Arthur with a clean face he still couldn’t stop the tears from leaking out the next second. It was heartbreaking on so many levels.
You know what baffles me? Why did we never get a time-loop episode of Merlin? Like someone curses Camelot to be trapped in the same day and Merlin is the only one to retain memories between resets. It would be hilarious to see Merlin just go feral and use magic with wild abandon in the open cause no one will remember anyway. I wanna see him do the bit where he needs to convince Gauis that they are in a time-loop by telling him all the weird and improbable thing that will happen as they are happening. Like it would also be the perfect way to get in multiple "magic reveals" ™. Arthur could sometimes take it well or sometimes even react poorly with the promise of deciding Merlin's fate the next morning but that morning never comes so we never get a for sure answer about how he feels which is why Merlin still doesn't do a reveal post time-loop escape. Like the comedy and drama potential we missed out on man...
