PPS; there is something about BGD still looking the same while jake has so clearly changed in appearance. I don't have anything clever to add, except that that stupid fingerless-gloved hand is so quintessentially Dirk, it looks like an aesthetic choice that belongs to a man much younger than Jake. Because it does. Because Dirk stopped, while Jake had to keep going.

some ppl take muir's hc that gideon is darker than harrow and just go. she's a white woman. this is incorrect. she does not have pale-as-in-white skin. she has pale skin for someone who has so much melanin potential because she's dehydrated and vitamin d deficient. that does not make her white. she's only white with her face paint. (she's also imagined by muir to be mixed, so she may be partially white in heritage, but mixed doesn't necessarily mean that, and muir said that she's happy for the reader to come up with own interpretation anyways) own interpretation does NOT mean taking away canonical text description of harrow's brown skin. im so sick of this in fandom because part of why i love harrow the ninth so much was the realization that there was finally this cool as fuck protagonist that looked almost like me. stop whitewashing characters just because they're allergic to sunlight 😭
