omg

so for the 134 of you who follow me, first of all, thank you so so much. second, so sorry i’ve been gone for as long as i have. i mean, i haven’t really been gone exactly, i’ve been on and off of this site since around february, occasionally having bursts where i reblog things but i haven’t shitposted in a while and i havne’t written a piece of fanfiction since like… december. basically, my school blocked tumblr so i couldn’t go on it when i was finished with homework and then immediately after school i had extracirriculars (my season is so intensive jan-march and the post season april-june) and as soon as i got home i had to do homework. i barely had time to read fic to unwind, let alone write it.

but it’s summer now, and i’ve had this idea since around january. after i heard evermore (taylor’s album) in december, i knew i wanted to write a fic based around it. reddie was the first ship in my head of course. at the time, we all thought taylor was going to drop a third album and i thought it would be a perfect trilogy, but as it turns out there are two wonderful albums. folklore and evermore. and i knew that as soon as i had the chance i would write a huge ass reddie fic based on these two albums.

 before i knew it i had a whole outline. each chapter being one song on the albums, including the deluxe versions.

so the first chapter of folklore will be out sometime tomorrow, probably in the morning, for those of you who care. again, thanks so much for following and sorry if this sounds melodramatic in any way i am just so glad to be writing again and i hope there are still people in this fandom who will enjoy this huge work. it took me around two weeks to write this chapter, i hope it’s good. i know the fandom is like a dying star but i am still going strong, idk about you guys.

The fact that people still blame Willie for taking the boys to the club genuinely astounds me. Willie was stuck in the club for up to forty years, being manipulated and threatened that whole time. We’ve seen how good Caleb is at manipulation, he almost managed to convince the guys to abandon Julie in less than four hours.

Just imagine how much brainwashing and abuse he would have gone through over all that time. Willie’s been Caleb’s victim for literal decades, and he’d been stuck in the developmental stage of a 17 year old that whole time. Of course they’re gonna make mistakes and be impulsive when it comes to Caleb, he’s a teenager who’s been stuck in a cult since he died.

They’d known Alex for ten days when they took him to the club. Three days later, he was 1000% down to help him go behind Caleb’s back. That’s thirteen days against 30-40 years of manipulation. They made a mistake spawned from years of abuse and did everything in his power to redeem themselves, he doesn’t deserve people hating on him. Especially since everyone in the show forgave them.
