Like parrots, they like repeating words to themselves, mixing them as well as their vowels. There will be some words they quietly or loudly repeat over and over again if they like the sound, often making their top favorite their second name (many mites have second names, only mites can pronounce their first names lol, gotta have a name other species can pronounce)

Hearing it almost sounds as if they're stressed, ticking, or spiraling, but more often than not they're pretty chill. A lot of mite vocals are intense, screaming and howling at random, but they're fine... usually.

To add to this, Moon mites can mimic voices, sometimes phrases, and though they can learn to understand a language, the disconnect between their vocals and mind makes them unable to speak said languages, BUT to beat this some simply mimic phrases they overhear hoping it gives the reaction they seek, Like a parrot. Their mimicry sounds like a fuzzy recording of vocalizations that just happen to sound like a phrase, but if you focus hard enough, it's just odd gurgles, hisses, and chirps. With enough practice, it'll seem as if the mite was speaking the language intelligently, but their voice will still be off as if every word was clipped from a recording of many different voices. Mites who learned to speak fluently with their own voice, as mentioned before, are built different. It's an extraordinarily rare skill that a majority of mites are unable to master.

One again with converting ocs to Moonmites

And today’s (willing) victim is Floyd! (Ft. Jackass + a meek made by @puzzleddonkey )

Now, best way to explain Floyd is a video game main-character. He looks the same no matter how much he ages, he can withstand some pretty tough enemies, and is able to respawn/reset within seconds.

I think Jackass would get along with Floyd due to them both being pretty promiscuous.. All until Jackass discovers that he’s a self-repairing punching bag 😋

The big brown Soldier is Richard, a hotheaded bloke that.. seems to scare Rodney so badly that he lost his belly button 🤦 yay.

It’s unclear of what Richard genuinely thinks of Rodney or what his intentions are. Rodney clearly expects the worst from him, only to be met with being treated like a small pooch tucked under his arm.

As much as Rodney wants to scurry off, his paranoid lil brain keeps nagging him whether that’d be the best decision or not

does the moon mites have variations on fur lenght and stuff as well like angora rabbits and... hairless rabbits?

They do! Same goes for variations with pelt colors and patterns! It's not too common but it isn't rare for mites to have long pelts, textured pelts, or have no fur at all! Fun fact, Long, brown pelts are considered "ancient traits" to mites due to their resemblance to ancient mites.

What's the moon-mites veiw of humans, are they neutral albeit violent due to their nature, or is it complicated? could a human work within moon-mite society in a safe manner, or would that be considered impossible? there's just so many things I wanna know.

To mites, humans are a bit of a fixation, whether it is fascination or hatred, though it honestly depends on the mite lol. In mite culture, humans would be the first species to (unknowingly) give them a name ("moon mites" "moon bunnies" "Tōtōchtin" and, though derogatory, "ass hares") and take them for the sole purpose of being loved, ie, the creation of the moon mite franchise. It's appealing to some mites just as much as it is insulting to other mites to have been sold as pets, but overall, all mites have an innate fascination with humans.

As for a human living in a mite colony, they would likely be unable to work or even live within a mite society, not because of any prejudice but mite lifestyles are incredibly dangerous, a lot of recklessness due to their regenerative abilities and general hardiness. Though again, it might depend on the colony! A gentle mite colony situated within a gentle planet welcoming to other races isn't impossible, but it would be incredibly rare. Moon mites keep their colonies hidden from non-mites, so hidden that to other races, mites are seen as feral animals with no signs of intelligence. So a welcoming mite community will have to be the most hidden of them all. Mite colonies/societies situated within the Moon Cluster would be impossible for other species to inhabit, let alone find.
