If there was one show to make it to this year, this was the one. John Maus entertaining a sold out Teragram Ballroom in LA this past week. I don’t know how a person could scream and sing so much and still have the voice to continue doing it show after show. Those egg yolks. We recommend to buy his latest album or record, it’s in our regular rotation. #putitonrepeat @teragramla

The lights, visuals, costumes and more! This is Jonna Lee aka @ionnalee, aka @iamamiwhoami_ aka @twimclabel and the reason why we went down to The Novo last week to see Royksopp. We are in love with Jonna and all her work, we couldn't miss this rare opportunity to see her perform live. Bonobo this past Monday at the Ace Theatre in LA! Not a favorite venue, but could not pass up seeing the man and his band light up the stage. #putitonrepeat @si_bonobo

On a busy Saturday night of shows and events going on around LA, we ventured into UCLA to see José Gonzáles perform with The Göteborg String Theory orchestra! One of the most beautiful, creative and talent driven shows we have ever seen live! Would recommend going on to YouTube or their website and watching their entire performance. If you ever see this show coming back to your city, do not miss your chance to see them! #putitonrepeat

Our second year doing this "top 10" songs of the year. This is in no order and may not even be our favorites, but from the few days we spent sifting through and narrowing down this is what we ended up with. Favorite song on that list is Dust, by HÆLOS. Favorite album this year (by far) is also by HÆLOS, titled Full Circle. Coming up in second would be Blood Orange's - Freetown Sound. 6 out of 10 artists on our list for this year are artists we have seen live. We are definitely looking forward to all the new music and future shows we will be attending in the New Year! Vancouver Sleeping Clinic!! Trekking all the way from down unda, the Aussie boys took control of the stage to close out a great lineup a few nights ago at the Bootleg Theater. Opening was MTNS (who also are a part of VSL), and Lo Moon, whom we saw several weeks back open for Shura. All bands were incredible, brining in a nice crowd for a cold school night. SAMPHA!!! Such an amazing set, so much talent on the big stage this past Tuesday. Got a lucky chance to see Sampha perform live on his first tour, and he blew us away with his powerful voice and band. Wished they picked a venue offering a GA standing area, we are not big fans here at PIOR for sitting only events. But that didn't stop us as we stood along the wall in the back! Lo Moon! Missed the last time they played here in LA when they opened for Kauf at the Echoplex. Got another chance to see them while they opened for Shura at the Roxy Theatre! Such a great band with practically no music officially released (just a single). The band is based in LA, keep an eye out for them as they continue to grow and play more shows!
