felicia hardy left the cat suit at home tonight. instead, she poured her curves into a black strapless gown and assumed the role of scarlett montgomery: a rich socialite looking to donate to a deserving cause. the daily bugle was holding its yearly fundraiser event, which was sure to draw in new york's elite for a charitable tax write-off in exchange for j.jonah jameson smoothing out any unsavory headlines about their companies or political dealings. in other words: easy money for people like her.

felicia had worked the room twice over. batting those long lashes at any high roller who was unfortunate enough to cross paths with her, while she fake laughs at their best attempts at humor. even taking note of guest houses, vacation homes, and chateaus in europe that could certainly fund her next few years if she played her cards right. afterall, you get these types a little drunk and they'll happily spill the details on every financial asset like they want it stolen. their loss.

the banquet hall began to quiet down as j. jonah jameson walked to the podium mic to thank the guests for their time and money. felicia used this opportunity to break away from the celebration and sneak off to the balcony for some privacy. thankfully it was a clear night with the balcony giving a perfect view of the new york city skyline. it was almost enough to make her wish she was out prowling on rooftops instead of entertaining these wealthy stiffs. almost. a round of applause comes from inside that breaks her thoughts and she takes another sip from the champagne she's been nursing all night.

comes a voice from behind. felicia doesn't need to turn to recognize who her guest is. years of masked rooftop rendezvouses made identifying him second nature to her - and she'd be lying if she said she wasn't atleast a little relieved to see a familiar face. she turns to him,

❛    careful parker.   ——-   you'll scare 'em away.   ❜ a joke purred dry as she eyes the crowd inside; a few of the men she was talking up now looking for her amongst the party goers. for now, she hadn't been found and she intended to keep it that way. felicia shoots peter a coy grin,

❛    i didn't think jameson let you off the leash for these types of things. . .    or are you off on good behavior ?   ❜
