o k a y | yamaguchi tadashi
Tumblr media
original [x]
Fandom: Haikyuu!!
Pairing: Yamaguchi x Reader
Word Count: 630
Request:
CAn I pleeasee have a scenario wherein Yamaguchi witnesses first hand how his polite and nice s/o loses her cool and flips? could you somehow make it fluffy pls THANK YOUU VERY MUCH
Notes: The more I read up on Yama, the more I fell in love with him. His VA voiced so many characters that I’m in love with (Twelve, Corteo), that Yama has officially been added to my babe club.
I hope you enjoy this anon, thank you for requesting.
And thank you all for reading! ♡
Tadashi had always admired how level headed you were – how in seemingly every situation, you somehow managed to find the bright side of things and helped others around you to do the same.
He knew that whenever he felt a little anxious or worried about something, you were always able tot ell and with just the simplest touch or smallest amount of words, you calmed him and reminded him that everything was going to be okay. And with you, everything always was okay.
So, seeing you standing in the doorway of his bedroom, your fists balled tightly at your sides as your chest heaved breathing in large gulps of air from running all the way to his family home, he knew things were definitely not okay.
“Tadashi,” He straightened up in his bed at the sound of your voice, quiet and a bit shaky as you made your way over to him, your eyes flashing on the sling that his arm rested in. “You told me that you were okay.”
“[f/n]…” He paused once you sat at the edge of his bed, your eyebrows furrowing as you looked up at him. He could tell that you were worried, and that worried him. But most of all he could sense that you were… mad?
At him?
“Why didn’t you tell me?!” You tried to keep your voice to a low whisper-scream as you inched closer to him. “How bad is it?”
Tadashi couldn’t help the flush that painted across his face at your worrying over him but felt so incredibly bad knowing that you were worried because of him. “Are you mad at me, [f/n]?”
His question caught you off guard, stopping your movements as you examined his arm sling. Were you mad at him? “Yes! I’m furious with you, Tadashi,” You paused, placing your hand onto his knee over the blanket that partially covered him. “Only because you didn’t tell me. I had to find out from Tsukishima.”
Tadashi snorted at the way you spat out his bestfriend’s name, but quickly relaxed the smile that pulled at his lips as he watched you. You weren’t crying, but he could tell that your eyes were glassy and watery from the tears that had begun to develop; you had a slight sheen of sweat that coated your face and the skin of your neck, as if you had ran all the way here after learning the news; you nibbled on your bottom lip (as you always did when you were a little anxious), your eyebrows furrowed as you waited his answer.
It was almost like you had lost your cool, and it was all because of him.
“I’m really sorry, [f/n].”
He placed his free hand onto of yours and squeezed it tightly, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips once you looked up at him.
“I didn’t want you to worry. I just served a ball wrong today – but the nurse said that it’ll be fine in a couple days.” He shifted his eyes to the side before continuing, “So please don’t worry about me, okay?”
Your nose burning from the tears that began to form, you quickly rested your head into Tadashi’s chest, your arms coming to wrap around his waist. “You promise?”
Tadashi took a moment, pressing his nose into the crown of your head and taking a deep breath, his free hand coming to rest on the small of your back. “I promise,” he whispered as you pushed yourself closer to him. “I’m sorry for worrying you.”
You hummed in response, following along as he leaned back onto the pillows of his bed.
He pressed a kiss onto your forehead, his working arm tightening around your waist.
“I love you.”
You tilted your head up at him, snuggling upwards to press a light kiss onto his chin.
“I love you too, Tadashi.”
And suddenly, everything was okay again.

h e a r t b e a t | tsukishima kei
Tumblr media
Fandom: Haikyuu!!
Pairing: Tsukishima x Reader
Word Count: 710
Request:
Hi! Can I request some soft tsukki fluff on a rainy day? Love your writing, keep up the good work 💖
Notes: Thank you so much for the sweet message, anon! Seeing notes like that mean the world to me, so thank you.
This is my first try writing for Tsuki - I hope I did him justice!! Thank you to the anon that requested it, I hope it has enough rain fluff for you. 💓
Thank y’all for reading, as always!
“I can hear your heartbeat.”
He shuffled a bit beside you, his hand coming to rest against the back of your head as you cuddled closer into him, bringing your hand to rest on his stomach. He snorted, “I am alive you know.”
You tilted your head to look up at your arrogant, yet undeniably adorable, boyfriend. “Kei,” You warned, a playful smile pulling at your lips, earning a matching one from Tsukishima. You leaned your head back onto his chest, quietly taking a breath in as you honed back in on his heartbeat.
It almost perfectly drummed along with the gentle rain that showered outside, the sporadic lightning strikes lighting up the room that otherwise remained dimly lit.
“It’s relaxing to listen to.”
You watched as his free hand crept down to yours, his lean fingers tracing invisible shapes against the back of your hand. He carefully laced his fingers with yours, raising both his and your hand up as his honey colored eyes watched your face closely.
He took a moment to respond, deciding to lightly squeeze your hand in a silent reply. He would probably never admit that having you lean against him was just as relaxing to him. He’d also never admit that his heartbeat would speed up ever so slightly whenever you did cuddle against him - he hoped that you’d never notice either.
He never wanted to seem too into your cuddling sessions, often making it seem like a complete nuisance when you initiate, but he knew that they have always been something he looked forward to when you spent time together.
But Kei had a reputation to uphold - asshole to the world, and sometimes to his girl.
But tonight, he didn’t mind putting off the persona for just a few moments with you. Especially now, as he studied your face under the sudden flashes of white light caused by the storm outside.
Before he could even reconsider, he pressed his lips against the crown of your head, lingering there as he waited for your teasing that he was sure to follow.
It never came though, and when he finally pulled away, he was met with your [e/c] eyes watching him through your eyelashes, your head now tilted up at him as you partially hid your warming face against in chest.
He hated himself, and you, in that moment.
You for looking so cute, and not reacting in the way he expected. And him for loving the way you were looking up at him.
He opened his mouth to spit out a snarky comment, but paused as you brought your head up, your eyes focused on his lips as you slowly leaned towards him.
He’d never admit how much he believed in the idea of your lips being made to fit into his like a puzzle. He’d never admit how much he loved your hand slightly curling into the fabric of his shirt as he rested his hand onto your hip.
Even after what seemed like an eternity, he’d never admit how much he wanted you to kiss him again as you pulled away.
He rolled his eyes at the innocent smile you shot him, your chin coming to rest against his chest.
“Love you, Kei-kun~”
“Tsk,” He hissed, pulling his hand away to adjust his glasses - all in a feigned effort to hide the rushing warmth that took over his cheeks. “If you’re going to say it at all, at least say it correctly, brat.”
“I love you, Kei.”
The suddenly jump in his chest was marked by a low thunderclap that rattled the windows, the room soon being flooded with the white light of the lightning that quickly followed.
He let out a shaky sigh, his fingertips coming to ghost along the edge of your jaw. “I love you, too.”
It wasn’t his first time uttering those words to you, but he’d never admit how lightheaded they would make him feel. How much they would make his heart race.
And you would never admit how much they made your heart flutter.
In that moment though, it was enough knowing that your heartbeats were drumming along on the same tune, it’s flutters marked by gentle unexpected kisses and quietly whispered ‘I love you’s.

Word Count: 630
Request:
Tumblr media
Notes: Completed request from another lovely anon! I’m sorry that it took so long to complete, I hope you still enjoy it! I can relate 100000% to s/o’s problem, big boobs are honestly no fun. </3
I hope you guys enjoy it. Thank you for reading.  ღ
The cold feeling of his hands against the small of your back would have startled you if it wasn’t so welcome. You couldn’t help the slight shiver that escaped your lips, but silently relished in the feeling of your tightly bound muscles slightly relaxing at the soft touch.
Tooru pressed his lips against your cheek, smiling as you leaned into his touch. “Almost done?”
You leaned away from him slightly, looking up at him. “Almost,” You let out a small sight before looking back down at the pile of gifts you’ve just wrapped and bowed, “After what feels like an eternity.” You stretched your arms out before you, earning a few satisfactory pops from your joints, earning a smirk from your boyfriend as he positioned himself to sit beside you.
“Old woman.”
You elbowed him playfully. “You know it has nothing to do with age, and everything to do with - You paused, gesturing your head down to your bosom before continuing, “These.”
Tooru laughed a little louder at your complaint before wrapping his arm around your waist, leaning his head against your shoulder. “I would have never thought that these precious things would cause soo much trouble.”
You rolled your eyes at him as you leaned forward, tightening and straightening the bow that you tied around the gift box before you. “Don’t taint the purity of my gifts with your pervertedness, Tooru.”
That earned you a snort as he pressed all of his weight on you, his arms coming to wrap around you completely. “I can’t help what you do to me, [f/n].” He leaned back just a bit as he felt you stiffen under his weight, his head leaning forward to get a glance at your face, “Everything okay?”
You nodded lightly, “Nothing serious,” You stretched again, trying to release the tangle of muscles in your back, “My back is killing me, though.”
“Why didn’t you say so?” Tooru straightened up, scooting to sit directly behind you as he began rubbing his hands together. “You know I’m the master at back massages,” He paused, leaning his head closer to your ears, “Especially if it’s to relieve my girl of her… endowments.”
You gave a snorty laugh, Tooru quickly joining in a few moments later before he gently placed his hand onto your shoulder blades. Using the pad of his thumb, he firmly pressed into your muscles, his head tilting slightly to measure your face in response to his movements. “Here?”
“Everywhere, Tooru.”
You clicked his tongue at you, “So demanding.” A soft genuine smile pulled at his lips as he felt you relax under his touch, seemingly melting in his hands. He felt the tips of his ears warm as you let out a quiet moan, your head rolling to the side against your shoulder.
“Thank you, Tooru,” You managed to let out through the sudden wash of exhaustion that rushed through you.
You were too busy focusing on the effects of his touch to notice how warm and slightly shaky Oikawa’s hands had gotten, his eyebrows furrowing slightly as he poured more and more concentration, you’re your relaxing. To cover his sudden bashfulness, which only occurs once in a blue moon with you, he finally responded, “What am I going to get out of this, hm?”
You shrugged as much as you could under his hold, “After this, I’m willing to do anything for you.”
As innocent as you meant it to be, Tooru couldn’t let you off that easily. He gave out a low chuckle, the language of his hands somehow becoming a bit more intimate than before. “Anything, you say?”
You looked back at him, his hands lowering to begin messaging the middle of your back. Yours tilted up in a smile as you winked at him,
“Anything.”

m o m e n t s | kuroo tetsuro
Tumblr media
original [x]
Fandom: Haikyuu!!
Pairing: Kuroo x Reader
Word Count: 410
Notes: Kind of a completed request for an anon here on tumblr! They requested a fluffy kuroo senario, so I hope this suffices!
Thank you for reading.  ღ
He hated winter. How cold and unbearable the air got whenever the latter months of the year rolled around; how as soon as he walked out from the heated comfort of a building, the chilled air would hit him through to his bones.
He despised it, and every day that ticked by, especially in the month of December, was one day closer to the happiness that he called spring.
Tetsuro could have vowed that he would hate the cold season to his dying breath, and beyond if possible. He would always complain and  swear that if he had the power to, he would completely do away with all the cold months and make spring and summer a year-round thing.
Sometimes he still felt that way – all until the moments when he’s reminded of why the winter months aren’t too bad after all.
Just like in this moment, when Tetsu’s long, lanky figure is sprawled out on the warm, inviting blankets of your bed, one of his arms hanging over the edge of it with his fingers just barely skimming the wooden floor.
But it wasn’t the lazing about that made the cool weather tolerable.
He tilted his head down, glancing at you as you shifted lightly against his chest. Your hand was sprawled out against his chest, your cheek resting against it as you cuddled closer to him into the warmth that always seemed to radiate from his body.
The silent weather outside could possibly be colder than 2 degrees. But here, in your bed, your body gently pressed against Tetsu’s as the two of you cuddled underneath the thick down blanket that covered your bed, it was the perfect – absolute perfect temperature.
He loved how during these months, you would take every advantage to cuddle up with him, sneaking underneath his jacket as he walked you home, sharing a blanket that was just a bit too small for the volleyball captain but enjoying the closeness, nonetheless.
He adored how easy you would drift off when you absorbed his warmth, and how perfectly you seemed to fit into his arms. So, when you snuggled into him closer as he curled his arms around you completely, he couldn’t help but smile.
He used to absolutely hate the wintertime … but he grew to love the moments that were spent with you.
And the more moments he began to spend with you like this, he slowly began to love the cold a bit more, too.

There are two important days in your life - the day you were born, and the day you figure out why.
And for the longest time, he believed that volleyball was his only reason for existence. Being Aobajohsai’s star ace, ruling with a near solid iron fist alongside Oikawa - that was his purpose ... or so he thought.
But standing here, one of his arms wrapped around you, curling around the small of your back with his hand coming to rest on your hip, with his other hand gently resting on the crown of your head, Hajime finally - finally realized what his actual purpose in life was. What he was born to do.
He tilted his head up slightly as you tucked your head further into the crook of his neck, your arms tightening a bit more around his waist as you fell deeper into the embrace that he offered.
You never told him why exactly you needed the intimate touch, but he relished in the fact that whatever the reason was, you chose him to come to for comfort. And though he’d never properly admit it, he’s prouder of that fact than he is of all of the accomplishments he’s made being Aoba’s ace.
His voice almost startled you when it cut through the near silence that the two of you confided in.
“Are you okay, [l/n]?”
You at first nodded your head against his chest before pulling away slightly, a faint smile gracing your lips. “I’m fine, Iwa.” You paused, leaning your cheek back into his toned chest. “I just needed a hug, that’s all.”
You could feel as he shook his head slightly in understanding, his arms tightening around you as a silent promise, his heart beat thumping through your ears matching up almost perfectly with your calm one.
Out of the million other reasons he could’ve decided upon, this one was the most fulfilling. Especially if it meant he could have just one more reason to let time pass with you in his arms.

b i g  d e a l | ennoshita chikara
Tumblr media
original [x]
Fandom: Haikyuu
Pairing: Ennoshita x Reader
Word Count: 600
Warnings: failed humor?
Request:
Tumblr media
Notes: I really hope you enjoy this, elephant anon! I’ve never really written anything comedic, so I’m so sorry if it comes off as awkward haha. I’ve also never written for Ennoshita before, so there’s two strikes for me lmao.
Anyway, thank you for reading  ღ
He knew that he loved every part of you.
But this… this was a little too much.
It was everywhere – in his restroom sink, his bedroom floor, his lint catcher for the dryer. Ennoshita loved your [h/l] hair, but he definitely could do without finding it in every square inch of his house.
But the last thing he wanted to do was make a big deal out of it – especially if it ended up hurting your feelings. But it had to stop.
“How?” Chikara asked himself as he watched you brush your hair in front of his bathroom mirror.
You caught onto his gaze, his hand propping up his chin as he fell deeper into thought. “Chikara?” You called out to him, turning over your shoulder to face him. “Is everything okay?”
You watched as he grew timid, his eyes casting down for a moment before looking back up into yours. “Just… thinking,” He responded, leaning against the doorframe, his signature faint smile gracing his lips.
“You seem to be thinking pretty hard. Is something bothering you?” You responded, turning back around to resume brushing your hair.
Ennoshita almost visibly flinched as he watched a couple strands fall and land in his sink, adding to the pile that had already been formed there. He took back a deep gulp, he had to do it. He had to bring the hair shedding to your attention, or he just might lose it.
“[f/n],” he began, calling your attention back to him. “I wanted to talk to you… about your hair.”
You cocked an eyebrow at him, his words coming out a little more serious that he had meant them to.
He straightened his back, raising his hands in a show of innocence. “It’s nothing bad, just something I’ve noticed now that you’ve began staying over more often.”
He took a couple steps towards you, his hand coming up to scratch idly at the back of his neck. “It’s just that I find it – everywhere.”
You placed your brush onto the counter before turning to face Chikara fully. “I’ve been trying to figure out a way to ask you about it, but now it’s kind of driving me crazy.” You rose your hand to cover the small laugh that left your lips, failing completely as Chikara rose his eyes to you in confusion.
“I’m so sorry, Enno!” You responded, your laughs falling between your words. “I’m surprised it took you so long to say something about it – it’s always been a problem of mine.” You closed the remaining about of space between the two of you, your arms coming to wrap around Chikara’s torso. “I wish you could see how much my friends complain about it, its almost as if the world was ending to them.”
Ennoshita gazed down at you, slightly confused but even more relieved that you took his complaint to lightly. Honestly, why was he so worried about it in the first place?
He finally brought his arms to mimic yours, wrapping them around your waist as he placed a light kiss onto your forehead. “So you’re not offended?”
You laughed again, tilting your head slightly. “Not at all. I’ll try to clean up after myself,” Your tipped up, placing a ghost like kiss onto his chin, “But no promises.”
His hands fell to his sides once you pulled away, going back to brush at your [h/l] hair. He couldn’t help the light smile that continued to pull at his lips as he watched you.
And suddenly, finding your hair everywhere didn’t seem like such a big deal to him anymore.

e x p l o d e | oikawa tooru
Tumblr media
Fandom: Haikyuu!!
Paring: Oikawa x Reader
Word Count: 905
Request:
Tumblr media
Notes: Hope y’all enjoy.  Also, hun. I don’t really know the difference between a situation and a regular oneshot lmao. Please let me know if you want me to do this in a different way, sorry! Anyway, thank you for reading. ღ
Is it possible to die from an exploding heart?
This was originally your idea. You wanted to have a small get together with your volley boys in celebration of their completion of their summer training camp. Being the manager for Seijoh’s volleyball team, you knew how hard they worked day in and day out – if any team deserved a little party, it would be them.
But of course, anything associated with the boys is everything but little or small.
Thanks to Oikawa, it seemed that nearly half the female population at Seijoh managed to squeeze themselves into your family’s home. It was a little much for you, but what could you do?
You knew that wherever Oikawa went, there would be a hoard of girls following. You weren’t necessarily okay with that, but you accepted it.
Even though it made your stomach ache and fall whenever you saw a girl getting close with the volleyball captain, to which he did little to reject. That was his personality, you’d tell yourself. You couldn’t really expect him to chance just because you were in love with him – especially because you could never work up the nerve to tell him that.
And yet here you were, stuffed in one of the hallway closets, your body almost crushing into the boy that stood in the closet with you.
You rolled your eyes before looking up at him, “Oikawa, move. I can barely breathe here.”
You tried your hardest to come off annoyed, knowing that you were battling a racing heart and a stomach doing ten thousand somersaults in silence. You only hoped that he wouldn’t be able to feel your heart racing through your chest – he was so incredibly close to you, that you were surprised that he didn’t mention it by now.
Why you would agree to a game of seven minutes in heaven is beyond you. And why the universe would find it funny to match you up with Oikawa was the joke of the century… just not to you.
“Why would I want to do that, [f/n]?” He cooed, “You’re pretty comfortable, so I think I’ll just stay here.”
You tried pushing against his toned chest but to no avail. 1. There wasn’t anywhere to push him to. And 2. He was as sturdy as a tree, there wasn’t any way he was moving if he didn’t want to.
“I am dead as soon as we get out this closet.”
“What makes you say that?”
He tilted his head as he looked down at you through his long eyelashes. A ghost of a smile pulled at the corner of his lips as you rolled your eyes once again.
“Didn’t you see their faces? Your girlfriends are not happy that I’m in here with you right now.”
You felt him shrug, his hands raising up to play with your hair. “I couldn’t care less y’know.”
You froze at the simple movement. It most likely meant nothing to him. But it caused your heart to nearly explode. You could feel tiny beads of sweat forming on your forehead from the adrenaline running through your body.
How many minutes has it been? You could have sworn that an eternity had already passed.
“Honestly, I only flirt with them for fun,” he paused, running his hand through his own hair before looking down at you again. “I’d stop if the person that I wanted would actually pay attention to me.”
He said with a soft laugh, but you could have sworn that there was a tinge of sadness that laced through it.
“Is it even possible for you to not gain the attention of someone you’re interested in?” You paused, “They must have nerves of steel, whoever they are.”
He took a minute before responding. His dark eyes flashed from yours to your lips then back, almost assessing them and the situation. He flashed you a genuine smile before finally replying.
“You ought to know. Do you have nerves of steel?”
You could’ve heard a pin drop in the moments that followed. If your mind wasn’t fooling you, could you consider that question as Oikawa’s confession? No, no way.
“Why does that matter, Oikawa? Just go after her- “ His movement interrupted you as he leaned forward, closing the little bit of space that barely remained between your two bodies. You could feel his breath fan over your face as he smiled lightly.
“I’m trying, but she’s really not throwing me a lead here.”
His voice was low, nothing like the childish or playful voice that he always spoke with when he talked to you. You waited a minute, giving your mind a minute to catch up with your heart. You could hear your blood rushing though your ears as Oikawa studied you again, his eyes flashing between your own to your lips and back.
“Could you pay attention to me, [f/n]?”
You began to shake your head in agreement as he finally closed the space between you, his lips finally connecting with yours.
It would have been literal heaven if you didn’t hear the timer ring off on the other side of the door just a few moments before light flooded into the closet.
“Times up, go make out somewhere else Kusokawa.”
At that moment, you wanted to die.
But if that meant that you could go back to the heaven you were just in, you honestly wouldn’t mind.

G e n t l e || Sugawara Koushi
Tumblr media
Fandom: Haikyuu
Pairing: Sugawara Koushi <3 x Reader
Word Count: 1050
Warnings: Trigger warning for the mention of a death of a loved one.
You didn't imagine that anyone would notice. You have always kept things to yourself, your feelings, thoughts, wishes, even from your closest of friends. And because of that, you never thought that someone would notice – especially him. But it was a bit silly to think that he wouldn't. It was just a few months ago that everyone knew. Till that day and a few weeks followed, you would get small, sad smiles of sympathy to those you passed by through the hallways, or perhaps the occasional shiragiku* flower in your locker, with a short note expressing their condolences. But as a whole, there were few who tried to comfort you directly, because although they knew of what you were going through, they were embarrassed to admit that they didn't understand it. You truly were grateful though, of the gentle thoughts and wishes of peace that were sent to you after the death of your loved one. It warmed your heart to know that they tried to comfort you. But despite that, you couldn't help the feeling that you felt then from creeping back up within you, even after months have passed. And that was why it was a little more than a surprise to you when he stood before you, his arms wrapped around your shoulders as he pulled you into his chest, your tears bleeding through the fabric of his shirt. It surprised you that your deep, quiet sobs didn't cause him to grow uncomfortable, to draw away from you in annoyance at the wet spot that you no doubt formed in his clothes. It surprised you how calming his heart beat was to you, and how consoling his touch was as he slowly circled small patterns into your back while he rested his chin lightly ontop of the [h/c] crown of your head. It surprised you that he said nothing, and yet was able to give you all the comfort you received in those few first weeks, with just the simple touch of his hands, and the embrace of his arms. You knew it shouldn't, but somehow, even after two years, your gentle boyfriend always surprised you with what he did. And though he was no where near the strongest or most physically gifted at Karasuno, he somehow always proved to be strong enough for both you and him, even when it felt like all else was lost. He was everything that you wanted, and felt like you didn't deserve. But you were more than grateful to whoever it was that brought him into your life. And you were more than grateful to him for staying in it as well. So as the minutes passed, your sobs began to grown quiet and soft, becoming less frequent as he stood there just as still as before, his hands rubbing the small of your back as he began to press gentle kisses into the crown of your head. You felt the light tension you felt between your shoulders slowly dissipate, as you finally brought your arms to weakly circle around his torso. He stood like that with you until you finally pulled away gently, your [e/c] eyes slightly puffy and cast down at the space that now stood between the two of you, although his hands never left your hips. You shook your head slightly as you let out a sad, airy laugh, your hand raising to rub at your eyes, ridding yourself of the drying tears that ran down your cheeks. “I'm so embarrassed.” He stood there silent as he watched you regain yourself, using the palms of your hands to rub at your eyes. Finally, he brought his hand away from your hip and gently tucked his forefinger underneath your chin, bringing your gaze up to meet his. You watched as his steel gray eyes scanned across your face, his gray eyebrows knitted together out of worry for your words. You felt your lips tremble lightly as the smooth pad of his thumb gently ghosted across the sensitive skin as he spoke, “What is there to be embarrassed about, [f/n]?” His voice was soft and was everything but scolding or harsh in nature. He was everything but scolding or harsh in nature. You felt the tears began to well up in your eyes again as you brought your gaze away from his. 'What shouldn't I be embarrassed about?' You asked yourself mentally as you bit back the tears that burned your [e/c] eyes. Your eyes closed as you felt him pressed his lips softly against your forehead, his hand raising to cup the side of your face. You felt your hands curl themselves into the black coat of his uniform as his soft voice reached you ears as he spoke. “It's alright to feel this way, [f/n],” He whispered to you, almost as if he was able to read your mind. “It's alright to cry, as much as you need to. Because I know no matter how much time has passed, those feelings can come back,” he paused, leaning his head away from yours to glance at your face. “But that's okay,” He said even softer, a gentle smile pulling at his lips as you looked up at him, your [e/c] eyes full of tears. “It's okay, because I'll be here when those feelings and these tears come back. And since I can't stop them, then I promise to you, that I'll do everything to dry them from your eyes.” He proved his words by gently patting his thumbs underneath your eyes, his fingers becoming damp with the tears that began to slowly fall from them. He pressed his lips against your forehead again, as you brought your arms to hold onto his wrists lightly, as he continued to wipe away the tears the escaped your eyes. You took a step forward, resting yourself again into his arms and against his chest, which he quickly welcomed by bringing his arms back around your frame. Between the waves of your soft tears, you managed to express your thanks to him, Sugawara, as he stood with you, his arms squeezing around your frame just a little as he continued to press his lips against your hair, his voice soft and low as he whispered all of his promises to you.

Neither of you really knew how things ended up this way. They just did. Without any other explanation other than the simple desire that you both acted upon, both you and your overly scheming boyfriend who recently became the captain of Nekoma's once renowned volleyball team, found yourselves surrounded by an array of blankets and pillows. The both of you laid sprawled out on top of the unorganized but highly comfortable pile of softness, Kuroo's long limbs somehow finding a way to wrap around your body and pull you closer into him. Originally, you had planned to help Kuroo study for his exams, seeing as this was his last year of high school and would have to start caring about the future sometime soon. But, somehow, you allowed your boyfriend to slyly convince you to put away the books and instead create the mountain of pillows and blankets that you both found yourself laying upon now. How you allowed your once solid ground of having him study be overtaken by such a childish desire, was something that you decided to not dwell upon. Besides, the year just barely started, and there was still plenty of time left. You turned your head to rest against Kuroo's broad chest, his heartbeat drumming steadily through to your ears. You snuggled closer to him, feeling his hand rest against the small of your back, while the other rose and gently tangled itself into the soft tresses of your [h/c] hair. You glanced around the room from on top of the mountain of softness, careful to not disrupt the comfortable position you were in, wrapped within Kuroo's arms. Things were scattered all over his room – books, papers, CDs, a video game controller. It didn't surprise you though, nor did it bother you. You were long used to the messy habits of your boyfriend, and it somehow made you love him just a little bit more. Your [e/c] eyes focused onto the warm, orange glow that filtered from the setting sun, into the half drawn curtains of Kuroo's room, bathing it in a calm wash of deep oranges and reds, warming your body slightly wherever the rays landed on your skin. You hummed lightly before turning your head to look up at Kuroo, who, instinctively tilted his head down to glance at you, his lips pulled back into a light grin that showed just a little of his feline like fangs. You “Who's going to clean this up?” You asked quietly, your unwrapping itself from the mess of blankets to gently comb through his unruly, yet incredibly soft hair just as he did yours. Your [l/c] lips pulled back into a soft smile as your [e/c] eyes watched him lean his head back, letting out a feigned sigh of annoyance. “Let's worry about it later,” He responded, you could feel the vibrations of his low voice through his chest as he continued, “Is it wrong for me to want to spend some time with my girlfriend in peace?” At that, he glanced down at you, his face void of any sign of joking. You couldn't help but feel the light flutter of your heart at his words, nor could you stop the small smile on your lips from growing into a larger one. You brought your hand down and sprawled it against his clothed stomach, rubbing it lightly just as you knew he liked you to. “We could spend time studying too, y'know.” Your voice was soft as you listened to his steady breathing, your fingers drawing light, invisible circles onto his stomach. You glanced up at him your smile shrinking just slightly but enough for him to notice. “You have to start thinking about your future too, Tetsuro.” You felt him shrug his shoulders beneath you, as he blinked slowly a couple of times. His dark, keen eyes scanned over your face slowly, taking in every feature that he already knew by heart, just as he did countless times before. He knew you were right. A high school graduate could do little to nothing with just a diploma now, and Kuroo was well aware of that. But, despite that, he had no fears looking towards the future because... “As long as you're there with me, I don't have any reason to worry about the future,” He finally responded, his voice low and stately. “I know you'll be there to motivate me to do everything, and for that, I know I'll be okay,” He paused looking down at you, “That's of course, if you plan on staying.” He grinned lightly at you, watching as your smile grew into a more genuine one. You slapped against his belly lightly, feigning a scolding look to form onto your face. “Who else will?” “Good point,” He said quietly, his smile growing soft as he brought his hand to gently cup your face, the pad of this thumb ghosting lightly against your lower lip. “No one could replace you.” You leaned into the touch of his hand, feeling your skin warm in a slight embarrassment at his words. You kissed his thumb lightly taking his hand into yours before you rested your head back onto his chest. His free hand, however, reached over to you, and gently tilted your head up to his. Softly, he pressed his lips against your own as his hand squeezed yours lightly. The kiss was gentle and innocent, and although it didn't last long, it was more than enough to prove and solidify the words that Kuroo just whispered to you. When he pulled away from you, he rose his lips to press lightly against your forehead before resting back against the pillows the two of you laid upon. You waited a few moments, smiling widely to yourself as you still felt the ghost like feeling of his lips against yours, before tilting your head up again, only for your [e/c] eyes to meet his dark ones. “Twenty more minutes, then we'll start studying,” You whispered to him, your words being more like a soft command than anything else. “Okay?” He let out another quiet sigh, though his lips were still faint with a smile. He pressed his lips against your forehead again before whispering, “Alright.”

It was an extremely long day. You slowly stepped through the front door of your home, announcing your presence to no one in particular. Your parents wouldn't be home until late, as they were every night. It's something you were used to, and it no longer bothered you. You climbed the stairs that led to the second level of your house, making your way to your bedroom. You dropped your cross country club bag beside your desk before shimmying off your club jacket, hanging it on your desk chair. You took your phone from your pocket and placed it on your bedside table, plugging it in to recharge. You glanced over at your alarm clock, reading the time it projected. '21:57' You let out a tired sigh as you exited your bedroom and made your way to the hall bathroom. Leaning over the bath tub, your turned the red knob as far as it could go. Steam bellowed from the faucet and hit your face, warming it pleasantly. You allowed the water to fill up the bath tub as your rid yourself of the remaining pieces of clothing you wore. You pulled your [h/c] hair up into a high bun before finally climbing into the bath tub, the hot water tingling your skin, warming it instantly. You sank into the welcoming bath water, your eyes sliding slowly sliding shut. It wouldn't hurt to take a short nap, would it?
❀❀❀❀❀❀ You woke up to the sound of the front door opening and shutting, your mother announcing her presence softly. The once hot water was now Luke cold and dropping. You quickly soaped up before rinsing and finally getting out of the shower, your eyes feeling heavier than they did before. You wrapped your towel around your small frame before walking out the restroom back to your bedroom. You quickly changed into your night clothes which consisted of an old, over sized t-shirt that your brother left before going off to university, and shuffled towards your bed before crawling under your fluffy, welcoming bed sheets. You wiggled your way through the down covers until your head reached your pillows, which cradled your [h/c] haired head softly. You let out a long, relaxing sigh as your eyes finally fell shut. Just a few more moments and you would finally be sound asleep, in the dream world that you've been thinking about ever since you woke up this morning. Just a few more slow, deep breaths and- "BRR. BRR. BRR." Your [e/c] eyes shot open and glared at your cell phone that vibrated near the edge of your bedside table. It's vibrations echoed throughout your darkened room, it's lit up screen illuminating everything in it's radius. Your hand shot out to grab it just before it fell to the floor, you looked over at the alarm clock that sat on your desk that was right across from your bed. It's bold, red letters read '23:47'. "Who the hell-" you mumbled to yourself as you looked back down at the bright screen of your cell phone. It vibrated a few more times until you finally tapped the blinking green 'Answer' button on it's touch screen. "Hello?" You answered, trying to keep your frustration at bay. You never liked being woken up, but being robbed of your chance to sleep was a whole other battle. "Who is this?" You asked, your head falling back onto your pillow. "[f/n]-chan?" A smooth voice called on the other end, "Sorry to call you so late." the voice chuckled, recognizing the sleepiness in your voice. Your [e/c] eyes fluttered open as you slowly sat up, your blanket falling from around your shoulders to pool at your waist. "Tetsuro-kun?" you replied quietly. "What's wrong? Why are you calling so late?" Tetsuro chuckled again. "I'm fine, how are you?" he teased. You could hear the smirk in his voice. "I just wanted to talk to you, is all." You closed your eyes as your cheeks warmed up, blood rushing to color them a deep, rosy pink. You hated him for the fact that he could make you melt so easily. You were known to have an unbreakable poker face, until you were around Kuroo. A simple phrase uttered from his manipulative lips could make you fall apart completely. You absolutely hated him for it. But you loved him for it, too. "And, I wanted to be the last voice you hear tonight." He added, so easily. As if he's done this everyday. As if he meant it. Your blush intensified, causing you to bring your free hand to your cheek, feeling the warmth that radiated from it. You really, really  hated him. "What's there to talk about?" you responded, hoping your sudden embarrassment didn't come through your voice. "Hmm," Kuroo hummed on the other end. "I saw you during practice today. I didn't know you were in cross country." You leaned back down, resting your head onto your pillow as you held your phone up to your ear. "Yeah, I've been running since junior high," you replied, looking at random objects scattered around your room as you nimbly played with your [h/c] hair. Something you never usually do. "Really?" He replied, interested, "You'll have to race me sometime." He suggested. You scoffed quietly, your eyes sliding shut once again. "There's no need, I'm sure we already have an idea who would win." Not even the captain of Nekoma's talented volleyball club could beat you, that went without question. He may be talented at volleyball, but cross country was your thing. You were amazing at it, perfect even. "What, you scared?" The natural bed head replied, his arrogance flowing freely through his lips. "There's no way you'd beat me," you replied, your eyes opening once again to stare at your ceiling. "Then prove it to me." You laid there silently, his words echoing through your mind. How could he be so arrogant, so confident that he'd beat you at something that you've been doing for years? Something that you loved. You hated him for it. Absolutely hated him. But... "[f/c]-chan~" He called again, in his usual, ice melting voice. "Fine, Saturday after our club practice. Don't cry when I beat you though," you challenged, proud of the tone you used, despite the fact that your face was just a little short of being on fire right now. Kuroo laughed. It echoed in your ear, forcing an undeniable smile onto your lips as your eyes fell shut again, as you rolled onto your side. You absolutely hated him. But, you were undeniably in love with him too. ❀❀❀❀❀❀ You weren't sure what time you finally fell asleep, but it honestly didn't feel like very much. You groggily pushed yourself up, leaning on to your right elbow as your free hand rose to rub your face, willing you to wake up. You noticed your cell phone laying face down on your bed beside your pillow, calling to memory what you spent your precious sleeping time on the night before. You smiled lightly as your picked up the slim device, and pressed the home button, not expecting any notification to be there. Your [e/c] eyes opened fully as you read the notification '1 New Message' on the screen of your phone. Curious, you unlocked your phone before pulling up the new message. A smile graced your lips as you read it's message. 'Good morning, [f/c]-chan~. Let's do that again tonight. =^.^=' From Tetsuro Kuroo. You fell back onto your bed, your phone clutch in your hands. You felt a blush creep up from your neck to the tips of your ears, your smile growing to as wide as it could. You honestly didn't mind having his voice be the last one you hear tonight...or every night for that matter. As arrogant, manipulative and cocky as he is, you undeniably loved him. And you hated him for it.

Notes: I hope you enjoy! This was written at two in the morning, so hopefully there aren’t any mistakes. ^-^
The rain fell steadily around you, its thick water drops falling to the ground and adding to the lake of puddles that laid throughout the street before you.
You watched in silence as the rain hung and fell from the edge of the umbrella that stretched above you, stopping the sudden downpour from drenching you through to your bones.
You shifted a bit on your feet, feeling your shoulder brush up lightly against the one who saved you from the sudden storm, the lean muscles in his arm contracting out of reflex from your sudden touch. You glanced up at him for just a moment, before bringing your [e/c] eyes back out to the road before you, your eyes catching onto the red brake lights of the cars that drove by.
The soft rain and the hum of the cars that drove by were the only sounds that could be heard between the two of you. The silence, although seemingly never ending, was everything but uncomfortable.
Oddly enough, the few but recently occurring times you interacted with the boy next to you, were all highlighted by a sudden, comforting silence.
It was almost as if you two had your own personal wavelength that you easily found the other on – there was no need to voice any thought because somehow, you both already knew.
And you were thankful for that.
You glanced down at your feet, the water puddles growing around them before you finally decided to speak, a soft smile pulling at the corner of your lips.
“You don’t have to wait with me, Kuroo,” You offered quietly, looking up at the volleyball captain with a silent expectation of him taking his leave. “My bus should be here any minute.”
But you secretly wanted him to wait with you, to feel the light warmth that radiated off of his person and onto you despite the cool air that you were surrounded by.
You saw him raise his shoulders in a slight shrug, his thumb and forefinger nimbly spinning the black handle of the umbrella, causing droplets of water to fly off its edges.
“Who would I be to let a lady wait out in the rain like that?” He asked, grinning as he looked down at you from the corner of his eyes. “What kind of guy do you think I am?”
Your smile grew as you looked up at him, before bringing your gaze back down. “Thank you,” you offered in a voice that was almost drowned out by the rain.
“Don’t mention it, [y/n],” He said, his grin ringing clearly through his words. “Nothing for me to be thanked for.”
A few more moments of the warm silence passed as the sky grew darker and darker with the setting of the sun behind the thick storm clouds. You could feel the quick change in the air, and let out a quiet shaky breath as you drew more into yourself, glancing down from the end of the street where you hoped to see your bus coming from.
Hearing the quiet puff of air, Kuroo glanced down at you, feeling as his lips slowly pulled back into a genuine smile. He brought his gaze back up as he began to lean in a bit towards you until your shoulder was pressed lightly into his arm. He stayed there, the warmth that flowed from his body easily replacing the cold air that took reign of yours.
You quickly relaxed into the contact, feeling yourself inch closer to him as you possibly could.
You silently relished in the subtle heat, thankful he decided to wait with you at the corner of the road in the rain.
Thankful that it was his fieriness that kept away the cold.
