Each year the Pure Heart family is given the gift of learning from one of the incredible leaders of the Global Leadership Summit during the Taste of the Summit which we will host at Pure Heart on June 13th, at 6:30 pm in the main auditorium (Bldg. 900). Craig Groeschel, Senior Pastor of LifeChurch.tv, will help us ground our lives in Ephesians 3 where the Lord invites us to believe that He “is able to do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us.” Come experience deep encouragement from the Word of God and a glimpse into the possibilities God has for us. The evening is free and childcare is provided.

Join us for The Challenge June 18-21st from 5:00-8:00 pm, it is an all-family event you won't want to miss! We are taking our traditional VBS to the next level by inviting your whole family to an experience that will challenge every member to gear up for life's big game. We will laugh, learn, and grow in both all-together and age-specific environments.

The Challenge is sports themed, with the idea of Gearing Up for Life’s Big Game. We will talk about Spiritual Gifts and how to identify them in yourself and your family members. We will learn about God’s armor and how it protects us as we go to battle for our families. We will train hard, tackling Spiritual Disciplines, because how we practice determines how we play.

Our keynote speakers during the adult sessions include Pure Heart's Rachel Kekic, Mike Delster, and Dan Steffen. Special guest speaker Dwayne Pedroza, Professor at Grand Canyon University.

There will be food available for purchase each evening from 5-5:45 outside the Auditorium (optional). We will provide a snack for the kids. Doors open at 5:45 with a pre-show program, and we will formally begin at 6:00.

IMPORTANT: We are encouraging adults (young and old) without kids and all students in 6th-12th grades to volunteer in our children's ministry or other support areas during The Challenge. Volunteers are free. Everyone (including students that are under 18) that wish to attend rather than serve should be registered as an adult.

Email links to our volunteer applications will be sent after registration. We MUST have complete/approved applications on file for ALL volunteers. The adult volunteer application requires a background and reference checks, so please allow ample time for us to process (it can take up to three weeks).

Worship Team Auditions

Do you feel called to join the Worship Team here at Pure Heart? Do you have the desire to minister and serve others in leading Worship through the gift of Music? Please join us for our Worship Team Auditions,

Saturday May 12th from 9:00am-11:00am.

The Worship Team is for anyone who is gifted in the area of music or singing and feels called and wants to get plugged in to join our family. As part of the Vocal Team, each week we meet to rehearse the songs for that weekend and have fellowship together. As part of the Band and Vocals serving that weekend, we meet for prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and training; followed by rehearsal for the songs that weekend. We also have several other Worship Teams that are covered by this Audition: Youth Worship Team, Legacy Worship Team, Children’s Worship Team. The October 21st date is for Vocals Only, however, we are looking for more band members too! Please sign up using the same link and we will contact you separately to setup an audition for the band.

Thank you for your willingness to serve. However, the Washington Elementary School District has now decided to close during the upcoming Education walkout.

Pure Heart has built trust with schools in our community--they know we care for kids and families with the love of God because of what we do through things like School Connect and PH Community.  It is an honor for us to get to serve them on a daily basis.We received a phone call from the Washington Elementary District letting us know that, in the days ahead, there is the possibility of a teacher walk out.  While Pure Heart will not take a stand on the political issue of teacher pay, we do want to respond to the school district's request to support their children should a walk out take place.   We have been asked to recruit volunteers who would work alongside district personnel to take care of kids at schools around Pure Heart.  The District's first choice would be having volunteers who have been background checked or have a finger print clearance card, but because they will have finger printed personnel present, they can also have volunteers who do not yet have this clearance.   Let us be clear in saying that choosing to serve in this way does not constitute a position for or against the potential protest and/or related issues, it is purely an opportunity to respond to a call for assistance from the school district(s), and be a Christ-like presence in the lives of kids and other staff that may be at the schools.  If you would like to serve in this capacity, please complete the form below.  Someone will be responding by email next week.

Extended Night of Prayer

6:35 PM - 7:30 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 

 We are excited about our upcoming Extended Night of Prayer & Worship that will follow directly after our main service on Saturday evening, May 5th. We wanted to create a space for Worship and Prayer to happen and flow together as one, so we will be partnering with the Prayer Ministry for this time, as we believe prayer is foundational to everything we do here at Pure Heart! We will offer our regular Saturday evening service with worship and teaching on the topic of Prayer, and at the conclusion of that service, we will enter back into an extended time of prayer & worship. We invite you to join us in prayer for this evening, and hope you will join us as we come together on this amazing night!

We are joining the nation on the National Day of Prayer by having an interactive time of prayer at Pure Heart. We will be praying for our Government, Economy, Education System, Music & Arts and the Media. The Marriage Highway

It doesn’t take much to push a family into hunger. A job loss. An accident. An illness.  Hunger has many faces

82,000 Arizonans are receiving emergency food boxes a week in Arizona.

More than 14,000 Arizonans experience homelessness each day.

30% of Arizona's homeless population are children and teens.

In one year, the working poor in Arizona have seen a 10% increase in costs to maintain basic living necessities such as food, shelter and clothing.

Almost 50% of the homeless are women, children or families.

The fastest growing segment of the homeless population is families with children.

43% of children living in homeless families are under the age of 6.

16% of the single adult population suffers from some form of severe or persistent mental illness.

At least 40% of the adult homeless population has an addiction disorder.

23% of homeless men are US veterans.

On March 3, 2018 Pure Heart will hold our annual Community Service Day.  This year ALL of our community service projects for #PHCommunity are hunger/homeless in related.  We have many options: building bags for kids to take home on Friday so they can eat over the weekend when there is no school, feeding the homeless living in shelters, working in the gardens downtown that help feed the hungry, working in our very own food panty/ resource center.  We at Pure Heart find a great call to help in the hunger crisis in Maricopa County.  Because most facilities are smaller in size space is limited on every project so sign up before projects fill up.  Also PLEASE read the details of the project you choose some have dress codes or age restrictions.  Each project will have a different start time and end time.

On March 17th we will have the opportunity to go down to St Mary’s Food Alliance to pack emergency food boxes, the very boxes we hand out in our food pantry.

We are excited about our upcoming Night Of Worship that will follow directly after our main service on Saturday evening, February 24th!  This Worship Night will be partnered with the Next Generation Ministries with an emphasis on JOY in Worship. Worship is expressed in so many ways to God, but we believe the gift of music holds something very special in God’s heart as we read about in The Scriptures. We are prayerfully setting apart this time to be a place without the time constraint of the next service, a place of creativity, where we can express our joy, love, and gratitude with God and give room for the Spirit to move in whatever way He leads. We are prayerfully crafting a worship experience that will allow us to express our appreciation and adoration of God and to simply “be” in His presence.  We invite you to join us for a wonderful time of worshiping God.

“What is the biggest component missing from the church these days? Vision? Passion? Commitment? Nope! What’s missing most is prayer! Prayer is something most of us believe in far beyond our practice. 

We are on a mission to change that!  Several years ago we started a conference for prayer leaders and pastors to help sharpen our skills in prayer leadership.  

The conference is called Threshold Intensive (T.I.). It is a four day immersion into prayer, prayer ministry, prayer strategy and prayer models for pastors, church teams, prayer ministry leaders, college students and/or anyone looking to expand their prayer life.  T.I. will give you opportunities to see how other churches are doing prayer ministry, chances to dialogue about prayer and prayer leadership in safe, nurturing environments.  T.I. will provide practical suggestions for growth and development in prayer and prayer ministries of all types.  T.I. is led by time tested prayer leaders who have proven themselves able to infuse passion into their churches for prayer and who have a heart for your ministry.

We believe that it will be a powerful experience where we will give you some tools to help you become more effective in prayer. Our topics will include: prayer and fasting (why do we fast and what happens when we do?), worshipful prayer (how does God see my prayer as worship?), and family prayer (why is it important to pray together as a family?). Let’s learn together as we add tools to our prayer toolbox. Our speakers: Paul Covert – Prayer and Fasting Paul is the Pastor of Prayer Development at Pure Heart and Catalyst. He loves helping churches, and individuals grow in prayer. Angel Grimes – Worshipful Prayer Angel is the Director of Prayer at Pure Heart Church. Angel has a heart for prayer, guiding others in developing deeper yet practical prayer lives. Steve Schembri – Family “Altar” Steve is Pastor of Children Ministries at Pure Heart Church. Steve is passionate about the Church, families, and coming alongside people to empower them to achieve God's best for their lives. Great marriages don't just happen! Preparation is the key to a successful marriage, and Pure Heart is committed to coming alongside couples taking their relationship to the next level.   Our 'Becoming One' premarital class provides a fun, interactive environment to help you develop a firm foundation of biblical marriage principles.  This is also a great way to form relationships with other couples in the church as you start out your grand adventure! 'Becoming One' is a 7-week class beginning Wednesday January 10, 2018 at 6:30pm in Room 521.  Any couples who are engaged or seriously dating are welcome.  The cost is $50 to cover materials, and FREE childcare is available with registration.

Sometimes, we have control over these things and sometimes we don’t. One thing we do have control over is how we spend our time; what we invest our precious minutes, hours, and days in. MOVE-Starting Point 8-Week Experience gives us an opportunity to discover what it means to become like Jesus for the sake of others and how Pure Heart Church could be a part of our journey. Investing in our spiritual well-being is probably the most important expenditure of our time. It has eternal dividends!

As we embark on a new year, we want to provide a moment to push pause—to set aside time evaluate our life and where we are headed. In MOVE-Starting Point, we discover what it means to be part of the bigger picture God is creating. We learn how to cooperate with the Holy Spirit and take advantage of some basic habits that will propel us along in our spiritual journey to wholeness. We evaluate where we currently are spiritually, and learn about our God-given personality and spiritual gifts. All throughout this process, we uncover the Beliefs and Heart statements of Pure Heart Church, along with the various ministries of Pure Heart. The result of the 8-week experience is that we will have a good roadmap for where to go next in our faith journey and a clear picture of how we can come alongside what God is doing through Pure Heart.
