ingredients: frozen hash browns, eggs, cheddar and pepper jack cheese, ricotta, green onion, butter, olive oil, louisiana hot sauce, salt/pepper, french onion dip
review: 5/10
another old faithful mush where everything is just mixed together in a skillet over medium high heat and scooped into a bowl. calorie dense and decently proteinous, not as good as waffle house

ingredients: eggs, chicken broth, chicken fat, butter, mini tomatoes from my friends garden, garlic, tzatziki, black pepper, several year old zaatar from a palestinian market which someone once gave me as a souvenir from their travels
review: 9/10
queen of hell has returned with some frankly michelin star slop. i used chicken fat i retrieved from the bottom of my air fryer and butter to fry the tomatoes and garlic and then added chicken broth and sorta poached sorta fried these eggs. then put on the seasonings. extremely delicious when smashed together into a creamy texture and eaten with a spoon. would enjoy this even if i wasn't aspirating daily

ingredients: toast, butter, maple syrup
review: 5/10
are you someone with a weak jaw who is tired of leaving behind the piece of toast included in the brunch plate of otherwise edible things you ordered? consider making sad woman’s soft and bite sized french toast by chopping it up and soaking it in syrup

had savoury porridge last night and am actually impressed - obviously not a new idea.
had it with some random ass curry sauce i found and an egg that was in the back of the fridge. should i try harder?
yes. this would probably be pretty good with, say, fried mushrooms. spinach, tomatoes, etc... an aside: egg in the back of the fridge - you forgot about it? you don't buy eggs with intent or something?

ingredients: low sodium tomato soup, plain greek yogurt, butter
review: 7/10
- crafted from available options on the liquid diet menu in the hospital. not particularly remarkable in terms of flavor but planning and creating it provided momentary distraction from the state of my life so it gains extra points beyond a neutral 5

ingredients: white beans, tomato paste, olive oil, garlic, chicken broth homemade from fast food chicken bones i’ve had in my freezer for a year, sake, apple cider vinegar, frozen peas/kale/spinach, cayenne, cream cheese
review: 8/10
- this is super good it’s a stew but I smashed the beans and added some cream cheese after it finished stewing to make it thicker and less chunky. would be a good regular person recipe if you’re not put off by it being kinda weird

- ingredients: homemade pho broth from last week that has been sitting in my fridge, butter, milk, instant mashed potato, dried shallot, sriracha
- review: 5/10
i call this photatoes. was hoping to use my pho broth before it became questionably fresh but can’t eat chunky soups presently so i used it to steep potato dust for a goal of safe thickness. flavor is good but it’s still really thin i didn’t get the ratios right. whatever. also i cooked this while sitting in front of the stove in a wheely office chair per a recommendation from an occupational therapist. happy valentines day

- ingredients: taco bell pinto beans, cheese, red sauce, one fire sauce packet
- review: 6.5/10. was ordering other stuff since i’m currently improved such that i don’t need straight up slop but the description in the app forced my hand into sampling this. frankly this is a solid option and if i’m ever awake in the middle of the night and need a stat home delivery of slop i now know that i can count on the bell

- ingredients: homemade mac and cheese that i prepared on a very motivated day that has been in my freezer for like a month, french onion chip dip
- review: 6/10
i am terrible at making homemade Mac and cheese yet I occasionally try anyway. this one was very bland somehow despite all my cheeses and also reheated really dry so i panicked and added french onion chip dip to make it more moist and flavorful, for safety and for my psyche. this is a bit of a shameful one but i’m so removed from shame that the feeling passes easily
