It's very frustrating how some Nexus fans seem to ignore that he was okay with killing Earth. aka his sister, the one he began his life as a true equal with. They were both new to everything and were very close in the beginning, they felt like united siblings, thrown about by all the chaos but united together. Nexus is the one who turned away from that, and decided to call Earth nothing more than collateral damage. Out of everyone, she deserved his hate the least, and yet he was ready to kill her.

Now I like Nexus a lot, but his fans are getting on my nerves with their "poor baby" talk about him, like he was abused and kept under the damn stairs his whole life. He had love, he had family, he had people who tried to be there for him. But of course that makes him a complicated character and not an innocent poor baby, and sadly too many fans of his just can't accept that he is complicated. He took his grief over death and let it twist him, he let his pride win out over his love. And yes he did suffer a lot, but so did everyone else. He's kind of the new Lunar, it seems. I remember when everyone would act like Lunar was the most special boy ever and everything bad he said and did was excused. People called Sun an irredeemable monster just for telling Lunar to shut up, during a fight when Lunar was clearly triggering Sun. And now the same thing is happening with Nexus, with his fans treating his ex-family like abusers and he was the poor special little boy who did nothing wrong. Even though he knew his plan to use Blood Moon to bring back Solar was flawed, and would end badly, and Solar might not even want to live like that. He literally admitted he'd be fine with Solar killing himself.

It's just so irritating, so I had to rant about it. Sorry this confession is so negative but man I just can't take this whole Lunar 2.0 treatment with Nexus. This fandom is filled with so much bias and black/white views it makes me frustrated. This show is chock full of complicated characters and I love that! But this fandom is addicted to erasing all complexities and reducing characters to just one trait or one action.
