He Is Not Here: The Astonishing Truth of Easter Morning
Tumblr media
The first light of dawn crept over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of hope and trepidation. Mary Magdalene and the other women made their way to the tomb, their hearts heavy with grief, their hands carrying spices to anoint the body of their beloved Jesus. They had witnessed His miracles, clung to His teachings, and now, they faced the stark reality of His brutal death.
Imagine their surprise, their confusion, as they approached the tomb. The massive stone, sealed just days before, was rolled away. An earthquake had shaken the ground, and an angel of the Lord, his appearance like lightning and his clothes as white as snow, sat upon it. Fear gripped the guards, rendering them like dead men.
But for the women, the angel had a message, a message that would forever alter the course of history, a message that echoes with power and joy even today. He said to them, "He is not here; for He has risen, as He said." (Matthew 28:6, NKJV)
Stop for a moment and let those words sink in. "He is not here." The tomb, meant to be a place of finality, of sorrowful remembrance, was empty. The one they mourned, the one they had seen crucified and buried, was gone.
But the angel didn't stop there. He added the crucial truth: "for He has risen, as He said." This wasn't some accidental disappearance or a trick of the light. This was the fulfillment of Jesus' own prophecies, His triumphant victory over death itself.
Think about the weight of that moment. The despair that had clung to the women like a shroud was instantly shattered. Grief gave way to astonishment, then to an overwhelming joy. The impossible had happened. Death, the ultimate enemy, had been defeated.
And this, my friends, is the heart of Easter. It's not just about bunnies and chocolate eggs, though those can be fun traditions. Easter is about the earth-shattering reality that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, conquered death and rose again.
This resurrection is not just a historical footnote; it is the cornerstone of our faith. It proves that Jesus is who He claimed to be – the Messiah, the Savior of the world. It validates His sacrifice on the cross, showing that His death was not the end, but the gateway to eternal life.
Because He rose, we too have hope. Hope that transcends our earthly struggles, hope that overcomes our deepest fears, hope that promises a future where death has no sting and the grave has no victory.
This Easter morning, as you gather with loved ones, as you reflect on the sacrifice and the triumph, remember the angel's words: "He is not here." Let that simple yet profound statement fill your heart with joy, with gratitude, and with the unwavering assurance that because He lives, we too shall live.
May the peace and joy of the risen Christ be with you all this Easter Sunday and always. Amen.

If you see the scriptures that say God makes us male and female from our conception in the womb and say “yeah God makes mistakes”, you are actively calling God a liar and spitting in His face. His creation of us is intimate. We are woven together in the wombs of our mothers to be man or woman. God does not fail. He does not create accidents. He creates us as the gender we are born to be. The world tells us God is a liar. The world tells us God made a mistake with us. That is satans way. He sneaks into our minds with all our doubts and struggles and manipulates us to turn our backs on God.

Imagine if someone did what they're doing to Christian media to Muslim media. The people would be rioting and calling the director a "bigoted nazi faggot" and stuff like that. But when it's Christian media, that's fair game for some reason. Make it make sense
“ LMAO the Christians are BIG MAD that Aslan is gonna be a girl LOL CRY COPE HARDER SEETHE”
This is some of the response I’ve seen over the Narnia director wanting to cast Aslan as a woman. My question is… why? Why are non christians taking an openly and explicitly Christian media piece and making it whatever they want it to be? Why are non christians so bent to take everything we christians enjoy and skew it to fit some sort of modern wokeness that C.S Lewis never pined after?
Aslan isn’t just a lion. He is the LITERAL representation of Jesus Christ Himself. He is explicitly male, and as such should be left a male lion. A female lioness also makes 0 sense for the role of Aslan himself if you have read even one book in the series.
Why is it that people who don’t follow Christ get the privilege of ruining a beloved and historical piece of Christian media? People sure don’t like it if you remove a gay character from a series, or take a gay character and make them straight. So why would it be ok for you to take a personification of Jesus and make him a woman? Make your own media. Create your own shows full of all the race bent gender bent gay non binary lesbian trans whatever characters you want that’s clearly not made for christians. And please for the love of God leave media made to celebrate Christ alone.
