Mornings | GD

Summary: After waking up and finding your bed empty you decide to find out where your lover is.

Your eyes fluttered open, adjusting to the light that was beaming through the blinds. Creating a striped shadow to be cast upon your face. You winced slightly at the intensity of the sun but you soon adjusted. You slowly swiveled your head to face the other half of the bed where you was expecting to be met with a sleeping Grayson but his spot was empty. Nothing there but crinkled sheets and a slight dip in the mattress.

You furrowed your brows, gently pulling yourself out of bed. Your feet slipping into your pink fluffy slippers beside your bed and pulling one of his hoodies over your tiny body. His scent from the hoodie instantly trailing to your nose, making you smile.

Slowly, you wandered out of the bedroom and made your way through the hall and down the stairs. The faint sound of sizzling and music filled your ears which confused you at first until you saw Grayson stood at the oven. shirtless, wearing nothing but black Calvin Klein boxers. swaying his head slightly as he sang along to American Teen by Khalid, his luscious brown hair flopping as he hadn't bothered to fix it.

You quietly crept up behind him, leaning in the door frame as you admired the view. The aroma of pancakes wafting through the air, and for once they didn't smell burnt. Timidly, you approached him from behind and lightly squeezed his ass causing him to turn around quickly, a huge grin plastered across his face once his eyes fell upon you.

"Good morning." He gazed into your eyes, wrapping his hulk—like arms around your frame pulling you into a tight embrace before planting a soft kiss on your forehead. He pulled away sooner than you'd liked to tend to the food he was cooking. "They smell good." You admitted, your mouth watering as your eyes full upon the golden fluff cooking in the pan. "They better, these are my second batch." He admitted, flipping the pancakes over. "What happened? did you burn the first ones?" You giggled slightly, resting your head on his bare back as you hugged him from behind.

"Maybe." He chuckled lightly, "don't look in the trash."

"Why are you up so early cooking?" you pondered, letting go of him and sitting yourself up on the work counter watching him continue cooking. "I was going to cook you breakfast in bed, but, you're not in bed anymore." He laughed, plating the pancakes covering them in an assortment of colourful fruit before squirting some cream on them.

"How about we go back up to bed and eat them whilst watching a movie." You smiled at him, his soft expression making your heart melt. "Sounds like a good idea to me." He smirked, letting you lead the way as he carried both of the plates back up to bed.
