Fuck this post. Every single human, “oppressed” or not, needs and deserves positivity because everyone deserves to feel good about themselves. The only people who are offended by kindness towards people besides them are selfish people. Still, the statement that society gives men and boys all the positivity they could ever need is completely false because:

- Society overlooks men’s mental health and their extremely high suicide rate

- Male rape and abuse survivors are overlooked or treated as if they don’t exist when men raped/abused by women are just as common, if not more, than women raped/abused by men

- Society treats men as disposable

- Many men don’t get enough affection in relationships and are afraid to be affectionate with each other because society will call them “gay”

- Society calls men weak for showing their emotions

- Misandry is socially acceptable and men who speak out against it are ridiculed

Even if these statements were false, men would still need positivity because everyone does. There is an infinite supply of kindness to go around, please give as much as you can.

My thoughts exactly

I like Ginny. It was interesting to see a sporty, pretty and popular female character that dated multiple boys portrayed as kind and strong. I don’t like her romance arc with Harry though. It always felt too much on the nose as a parallel to Lily and James. And I didn’t like how Ginny mentions she always kept hoping Harry’d like her too. It felt like a intriguing character was reduced to a love interest that is always pinning for the main character.

I mean 3 A's is extremely good - yeah I always hear about Emma’s academic accomplishments like SAT scores, IQ, GPA, A levels, etc. but there’s never really proof? It’s always traced back to a fan or a not so credible website. I’m not saying she’s dumb or anything but if she excelled so much in school why does it appear (speculation) that she couldn’t get into Harvard, Oxford, etc.? she appears elitist and those schools are a bit more reputable than Brown also she “went” to Oxford

Absolutely. I mean, her school wouldn't be able to say, no she's lying she didn't get that see? I could easily say I graduated highschool with a 4.0 with honors etc. Or that I graduated college with a 4.0. Who is to say I didn't? I mean, I definitely didn't (I was an A/B student) and I don't need to lie about it either. I always found it interesting that she never took a photo with her actual degree. She seems like she would do that.
