Technology & Social Media
It’s the 21st century. We are in a day and age of technological advancements. More so, we are in a day and age where social media has become a major form of communication. Both things have its perks and pros, however, do we know what the long term affects are? Do we understand what the consequences may be to our human race if we become overly dependent on devices and social platforms to do the connecting for us? Millennials are essentially guinea pigs for the technological takeover.  We are addicted to our phones, laptops, tablets, and smart watches. We depend on them everyday to carry us through the world. We allow it to define our social standing and popularity. By no means am I saying these advancements are bad, however, I am questioning whether or not it is healthy for us to over consume these products and services. It is detrimental as we advance with gadgets and online platforms, that we keep in mind the importance of organic human interconnectedness.

Nearly everything in our lives, from appliances to vehicles to even clothing, is now being designed with some type of embedded Wi-Fi connectivity. This connectivity is not only changing how we live, work, and play, but it's also changing how we relate to each other and what it means to be social.
