I have the biggest soft spot for pull-ups, but especially goodnites. I just adore them so much. Did you mind still needing protection at night back then? When did you realize that diapers are a lot of fun?

Through most of middle school I didn’t even realize that it wasn’t ‘normal’ to still be wetting the bed, so I never really thought about it until word got out that I still did and people started making fun of me for it. I definitely minded needing them after that and tried everything to stop… medications, wetness alarms, timed potty breaks, liquid restriction… you name it, I tried it. Nothing helped until I just stopped having accidents shortly before high school.

While I was still needing nighttime protection, I was also going through puberty and starting to try things to see what I liked or didn’t like. Obviously, a prime time for self exploration is late night/early morning, but those times for me were spent in pull-ups. Before I was embarrassed about them, I enjoyed myself without thinking too much about it, but after I started feeling ashamed, I stopped. I started exploring myself again after I was out of pull-ups, but quickly realized that it just didn’t feel as good.

From then on, it was a love/hate relationship with diapers. I still feel a lot of embarrassment about enjoying the feeling of them and there are days that I hate it. Nowadays, I’m trying to love myself even when shame creeps in for wanting to wear again.
