Project: Blue - Chapter 1 (SG TFOne Fanfic)
After a disastrous crash landing, Megatron finds himself in a world where the Optimus Prime is a kind mech and Iacon is a paradise for all Cybertronians.
Despite that, he can't but feel that there is something very wrong with this reality.
“Condition stable. Vital signs show no signs of dropping. If you wish, we could begin preparations to remove him from the medically-induced stasis—”
“That project I assigned you. Is it finished?”
“I finished it astroweeks ago. Did you doubt I wouldn’t finish it in time?”
“I received no report.”
“I wouldn’t want to waste your precious time by bothering you with semantics. Besides, it was your decision to focus entirely on the forced crash landing that I took the liberty of not informing you about the project’s completion.”
“Next time, I want a report. I do not like to be kept in the dark. You know what happens to mechs who keep secrets from me.”
“You wouldn’t dare, I’m your best scientist.”
“...”
“I assume by your inquiry that we won’t be rebooting his systems yet. His condition is stable, and the frame has been entirely repaired. He is in perfect condition to undergo the procedure.”
“Will it be better done while he is in stasis or is it necessary for his processor to be completely online?”
“The medically-induced stasis might assist in the process. The less he is aware of his external surroundings, the better. If we were to reboot him now, he’d have time to assess his situation. While I assure you the program is entirely perfect, for I created it, he will be fully cognizant throughout the experience. If he were to recognize the truth through certain signs, for his processor will attempt to save him as most processors are programmed to do, then it would entirely ruin my experiment.”
“Pick your words carefully, medic. He is not one of your patients to experiment on. I assigned you this project, but not to indulge your need to push the boundaries of science. You will see him as a mech, and not as a roborat to be dissected.”
“Of course, my apologies.”
“And you are sure of the results?”
“I have tested it. I assure you, while the program focuses mostly in the processor, the actions conducted within will be recognized by his spark.”
“In that case, if the ritual is finished—”
“It would register as real within the spark. Still, it’ll be a phantom recognition. His coding will adjust accordingly but it won’t be a true bond.”
“So long as his programming recognizes the bond to be true, then I don’t care. It’ll be enough until the rituals can actually be done.”
“You are the most obsessive mech I know.”
“One day, when you find a mech you love with all your spark, then you will understand the measures I take to ensure his love.”
“If that is the goal, then I shall ensure the program goes smoothly.”
“It’s the only goal. If the program fails, then you understand there will be grave consequences. If any harm comes to him, I will have your entire frame melted down.”
“Of course.”
“Well then, let’s not delay any further.”
“Very well. With your permission, we shall now commence Project: Blue.”
—
His wings were broken.
It shouldn’t be his first thought, even the warning pop-up in his processor was about his plummeting energon levels. Still, Megatron could only focus on the crushed metal that once were his wings. The pain in his frame was nothing compared to the agony he felt at the loss of his flight capabilities, at the loss of his freedom.
If he were to be found and rescued by the Decepticons, the wings could be salvaged by a good medic. Still, Megatron knew he would be grounded for a long time. He never wanted to feel trapped again, but his broken wings would force him to stay on Cybertron. He would miss the stars…
But he knew that was preferable than what was about to happen. He gritted his dentas, blue optics scanning the area around him. Soon he would hear the grind of wheels, see Autobot scouts surrounding him before taking him back to Iacon in chains. The broken wings would be the least of his concern. Once Prime got his servos on him, Megatron knew his spark would be snuffed out. He would be publicly executed.
If the Prime did have the mercy of sparing him, Megatron expected the mech would break his wings further, effectively grounding him for the rest of his life.
He felt energon pool in his intake, his processor nearly overloading as multiple pop-ups indicated an imminent shutdown.
Despite that, he tested his connection to his arms and his legs. He could not access his left arm, the fuel lines severed from the blast of the cannon. He was not grateful that his arm still hung from his frame instead of being completely disintegrated. The impact had only been enough to shoot him down from the sky and mildly damage him.
Megatron didn’t know how, but the Autobots had anticipated his flight pattern and knew where to set-up a cannon. This attack was not aimed to kill.
He knew the Prime had weapons that could completely destroy a mech’s frame. He had been shot down with the purpose of only incapacitating him.
Taking a deep vent, he began to slowly crawl away from where he had crashed. His entire frame screeched in agony and his vision darkened as he pushed himself. It was a foolish endeavor, but if Prime thought he would lay down and wait to be captured, then he thought wrong.
He didn’t know how far he got before he heard the screech of wheels, then loud steps as a mech began to approach him.
A servo clasped his shoulder pad, sending a bolt of pain through him as he screamed.
“Frag, I’m so sorry. Stop moving. You need medical attention.”
He froze, feeling servos grasp him gently and turn him onto his back.
It was the Prime… but, blue.
Unfamiliar blue optics stared down at him from familiar faceplates. The other mech looked just as surprised as him.
“Dee?”
The shock was enough to send him into shutdown.

Introduction
Hi, I'm Red.
Recently got into the transformers fandom by a friend who made me watch TF:One. Then he made me read the Shattered Glass comics so now I'm hooked. First time seeing an actual canonical/official role reversal au so I'm genuinely interested in it.
SG!Megatron is my favorite cause he's a mathematician, which is such a funny contrast to the Megatron I've seen in TF:One as well as other continuities. Also really love TF:One!Megatron, he has a really interesting origin story that I like, also can't help but sympathize with him at some points. Plus, in any continuity, his relationship with Optimus is just so intriguing. I love doomed relationships so much, and TF:One really catered to that. SG not so much but SG!Optimus is so crazy that I can't help but be interested in SG!MegOP too, even if they aren't doomed like TF:One!MegOP. Probably why I like the idea of an SG TF:One AU.
So yeah, very much into TF:One, SG FunPub, and SG IDW.
I post my ideas/fanfics here cause I like to yap and write, though I do have an Ao3 where I post the fanfics: https://archiveofourown.org/users/PulangAdelfa.
Nice to meet you, always happy to yap about my fanfics, TF:One, or Shattered Glass as a whole.
