The weird way that upper class people show “love” in this cold and distant manner is like. Well I’m at my caretaking job and I’m just thinking about how this couple’s family loves them / believes them to be good parents but will stop by and say “hi” but not do the basic work that needs to be done. Like they’ll sit and talk but they won’t drop off a meal or throw a load of laundry in. I could write a much longer think piece about this but like how much do you really love someone if youre not willing to do the dirty work for them. I think about this too in relation to couples that have tons of money and like live in multiple houses at different times which I’ve seen a lot up here like how deep can your love really be if you’ve never had to share a mattress on the floor in a shitty apartment or share a car or put together your last money to buy them cold medicine when they’re sick.

my best trait is that i'm cynical about love while being a avid romance novel reader
#love is real in the movies and books but irl u should be careful!#i don't gush at old couples holding hands#40 years ago she was probably slaving in the kitchen and he was being a bigger asshole than he is now [shrugs]

george and elaine were the original haters. kramer was not a hater he was a pioneer - some people will try to tell you jerry was also a hater but they’re wrong. jerry was a poser. he was a hater in private, which is the worst kind of hater - no backbone. he would nod understandingly at george and elaine’s woes but he would secretly be hating on their hate. too much shame in his game. elaine and george would hate publicly, with their whole chests, ESPECIALLY on each other, that’s how you know it was real

what that one user on radblr said about lying to get hired because incompetent men will always get the spotlight unless u add a little grease to ur resume and they were right! my summer job was me learning the ins and outs of something i've never done before and winging it! kind of proud of my self.

+ women hating by andrea dworkin
it’s amazing how radblr has invented whole cloth a canon of “radical feminist” thought that has almost nothing to do with any movement history and draws almost exclusively on a bunch of bloggers and like, five books, only half of which are by even self-proclaimed radical feminists
