by the way i read my first book in full in a LONG TIME. i went in completely blind besides knowing it was well written, argentinian, and horror, and i came out a changed person. hard to read because of the content and nonstop Atrocities, but otherwise i was hooked and i finished it in one morning lol.

ok. i had a muse who had the power to alter mental states via soundwaves, including hypnotism + mindmelting trips etc, so they became a dj who sells fake drugs at their shows and uses their music to make it seem like their drugs are real. if that makes sense. i'm highly considering bringing them back bc it was cool af.

i will be honest today has been incredibly difficult for me. a lot of my family are immigrants, second gen, undocumented, etc and there's already ice presence in my city. i had a panic attack at work over it. my closest friend is undocumented and is near some raids happening so i'm trying to help her find resources. it's been a really shitty day and i fear it's only going to get worse. i know rp is not utmost importance, but i will be back at my discretion because i love it so much. i have no idea how this situation is going to escalate, esp because i live near the border. i'm terrified. but i am surrounded by amazing people and community who already are rallying behind the vulnerable, including me and my partner.

i know for fellow americans it's been really awful. just a reminder to be gentle and kinder to a lot of us, because a vast majority of us did not choose this and shouldn't be punished for something we do NOT want.

okay. okay guys. new muses. hardcore band continental breakfast, lead by danielle "danny" cabrera. i imagine they sound a lot like scowl, knocked loose, and drain. but who's to say. pin boards and muses in general super under construction but, i need validation.

danny cabrera : lead singer, gymrat, moshpit queen, generally imposing and intimidating, take no shit kinda gal, but also is so sweet offstage, like you wouldn't believe she's the one barking and snarling and screaming and shit on stage.

riley clark : super slutty tatted guitar playing diva. even though his bandmates tell him not to, he posts thirst traps to get people to go to cb shows. it often works. says he's not gay but definitely is and it's not like an in the closet thing he just does whatever he wants and doesn't like to label it.

santana beltran : second guitarist, the one with the solos and squeals (a la gatecreeper). super chill, probably your weed dealer, but also gets into messy lesbian drama like every other day. a menace to the local gay community. classically trained in guitar and piano and put that power to good use by getting super into metal <3 ended up in a regionally famous hardcore band by accident.

mason "moonie" stone : bassist, sweetheart, lover of cats. used to be in a black metal band with santana but also ended up in cb by accident. he just got along too well with everyone <3 6'5" brick shithouse but is truly a gentle giant. very strange though, like very weird and offputting. has three cats named beans, garth, and susan.

nico brady : drummer, teenage dirtbag type shit, inspired by steve-o and 90's skater boys ... annoying as fuck, kind of well hated because he's a HUGE bitch and he's always lighting stuff on fire. like he's so little brother coded, but also rodrick heffley coded.

i don't talk about holden a lot since i accidentally deleted his whole bio and i've been trying to get the motivation to write it again. but i think it is worth mentioning that he did not have any sort of education growing up and was not taught how to read, write, do math, or anything like that. he wasn't even given proper enrichment to develop speech and language, so he never really spoke until he escaped the cult. he was practically mute. into adulthood, he started learning the importance of literacy and speech and attempted to teach himself these skills. now in his 40's, he definitely possesses these needed qualities, but he's still very quiet and doesn't speak unless spoken to. all of that being said, he struggles with understanding sarcasm, figures of speech, slang, etc. he's pretty much learned the basics of language and no further.
