   “ I was really young - -and so was your father. You know, we do love each other, but then there’s a certain point where you just grow -- away. “ and nothing works. You end up being really mean to each other, and before she knew it, she didn’t recognize the woman she was. Scott scoffed at her when she had threatened a divorce and then -- well then she ended up doing it. And sometimes she wondered  if it could have been avoided. “ I still love your dad, you know that right? I imagined something that he.. couldn’t see, or really fit into his life right now. We’re at different places.” and that wasn’t fair to their kids.

He could see the strain talking about it was putting on her, felt bad that he’d pushed as much as he had - there was just something so upsetting, hearing the slight waver in her voice. Zach wanted to reach out and… comfort, if he could, but he knew this was important - had to let her get it out. But it was painful to hear, even if he’d known for a while that things were going downhill. The divorce was going to be hard, on all of them, and he was grateful she was being honest and straight forward with him. Dad hadn’t bothered, not yet. “But then?”

   she couldn’t be mad. well -- yes, she could, but.. she shouldn’t. She was happy that Scott was happy, and she -- in return, had been seeing someone  too. But, she didn’t think it was time to bring him around her kids so she didn’t. Karen wanted to know what was so damn special about this woman. “ Of course, so forgetful,” she murmured, in the meantime, brushing a strand of strawberry blonde behind her ear. She was not jealous -- not in the slightest..

   “ Well -- let’s get to housing. Can’t have my boys staying in a hotel - you can stay with me, if you want of course.” she wasn’t gonna FORCE Zach or Gray.

He’d never let on, not too obviously, but he’d missed her so much the last few months apart - even if it was always a little awkward the first few minutes again. A grimace was brief on his face at her reaction, he’d known she woldn’t take it well, hated that dad had even thought to bring his new uh, lady friend, on a FAMILY trip. “He uh, he probably just forgot - you know how he gets yeah?” A large part of him didn’t want them to see each other, the two women, but sooner or later they’d have to. Couldn’t help a small flash of anger towards his dad, even as he nodded and gave a smile in agreement to his mom.

        “Yeah they’ll catch up. Aw man, yeah - it’s been ages since           I last saw her, d’you think she’ll be free enough to hang with           us? I know she’s busy…”

i will admit, when i first decided to move from my old blog to a new one for a fresh start - i was fully prepared for zach to just trundle along and gain followers slowly (and i will shout out to the 550+ that still follow the old blog you guys rock) - but i have been totally proved wrong!! barely a month later there’s already 100 of you!! it’s so fucking amazing to see zach getting love again and still being supported by so many of you, he’s the longest running indie i’ve ever had and it’s making me want to cry a little bit. but quickly before the waterworks starts, here’s some shout outs to you guys!!! thank you for making my time here wonderful!

                 it’s been a long time since i’ve stumbled on this blog with claire muse,                 that much i do know. the jurassic world fandom went through a lot of                 triumph and trivial matters, all scattering across the universe to find the                 next big fandom, but a lot of you stuck around– i always knew i wanted to                 come back to this blog, but i didn’t know how. would people even want to                 write with me? were people willing to make new friends since there’s so                 many new people?

                this is basically a thank you to those blogs who stuck around & stayed                 mutual with me even when i had to drop roleplaying altogether with my                 2 jobs, a new puppy, and crazy ass life changing before my eyes. thank                 you for giving me a second chance at this wonderful character & i hope                 to revive old friendships as well as create new ones!

   It wasn’t that bad, Karen was just exaggerating -- something she tends to do when times are bunched like this. Though, she was staring at her younger sister, as if she had the answer.

PLEASE REMEMBER TUMBLR IS NOT PERFECT AND NEITHER AM I  —  sometimes i miss asks or tumblr ate them like a jerk. sometimes i miss replies or my activity page had a moment / derped and i can’t find it. sometimes i miss starters or perhaps just maybe my tag broke. sometimes i just have muse for some threads and not other ones. sometimes all i’m in the mood to do is lurk the dashboard. sometimes it’s that i’m just overwhelmed and there are too many asks or too many drafts and i just need some time… no matter which of these may be the situation? please never think i’m trying to be an asshole or that i’m ignoring you.
