Ah, thank you. I would hate for my English credentials to be tarnished. And... erm... I suppose I should stick with English, and shy away from humor.
Tumblr media
I spent my time in a cafe, actually. Reading, watching people... It was nice, quiet. Ah... I should introduce myself, before I forget. I’m Michelle Primm.

Oh, I can’t blame you! Do you have much free time? I hope you aren’t running to and fro on such a relaxing day.

Yes, I -- well, ah... no. I’m terribly sorry, Mr. Anderson. I’m usually much better with names, but -- wait, no, that doesn’t make it any better.
Tumblr media
I... completely forgot. That’s horrible of me.

Ah, but don’t watch it because I suggested it. There’s no need to hate Austen because of one over-zealous teacher.
Tumblr media
What genre does interest you, Ms. Salazar? I... should find that out before making suggestions.

That... does make sense. It must be hard to be a compassionate person with such a job, but... at least you haven’t compromised yourself? N-not that my thoughts are worth much!
Tumblr media
Yes. Something about essays, reading, fielding questions... It makes me feel as if I’m where I’m supposed to be. Though, between the two of us, I wouldn’t mind being a professor... but that’s a little too much for me.
I... try to have some passion. People can tell when you don’t.

Are you sure? If we’re going to be at your place, then... well, it would be impolite if I didn’t bring the wine. I get bottles in gift baskets from students, so -- ah -- I could just bring some of them. They aren’t of any use on a shelf, right?
Tumblr media
They aren’t. And isn’t it a shame? But, at least you know what you want out of life. There... erm, well, I’ve found that there aren’t many people who share your confidence.
Valentina & Michelle
We can do that. My place is fine. I can get wine.
Tumblr media
People are never satisfied. I found that out very quickly. No matter what you do, you’re wrong or there’s something for them to complain about. That domestic lifestyle isn’t for me though.

I take it that you don’t plan ahead. Or... does your job prevent you from doing so?

It’s a shame that you can’t find the joy in Sundays.

Me? Oh... I... well, I think I’d be more of a side-character. The librarian who hands Belle a book, or someone blocking the evil stepmother’s view of Cinderella. A -- erm -- a circumstantial addition.
Tumblr media
Thank you for the thought, though... It’s a nice idea.

That would surprise me. I’m not much of a drinker.
Tumblr media
I think some co-workers mentioned it, though. You own it, I take it?
Karaoke tomorrow night at Venom!

It’s a nightclub, maybe you got too drunk to remember the place.

Sundays are a sad reminder that Monday is around the corner.
Only if you choose to see it that way.
Tumblr media
Sundays are what make Saturdays so sweet, I think.

I love Sundays! They are literally the day to rest
Certainly! It’s nice to have some time to myself, even though another work day looms around the corner.
Tumblr media
Is there anything in particular that you do on Sunday?

I wouldn’t mind a glass of wine, but... no clubs, please. That might be a tad overwhelming.
Tumblr media
You’re right. It seems as if people won’t be satisfied until they pick out our jobs for us. Someone who has children and stays at home is “enforcing negative gender roles”, but working women with children “aren’t spending enough time at home.” It’s ridiculous -- utterly ridiculous.
No, no! I’m sure I misinterpreted it.I’ve found that’s the case lately.
Valentina & Michelle
Well then, you gotta come have a drink with me one day.
Tumblr media
Thanks. Sometimes people talk about us like we’re a whole different breed. It makes no sense to me. If anything, I think the girls I work with are smart as fuck. People are assholes. Even finding bad things to say about wanting to be a teacher. Isn’t that what they want out of us? To get a decent job, cause you know if we stay at home, we’re lazy.
Ahah! No. She left the Dominican republic! Not me. Sorry. I said it wrong.

I... think I can understand. Does it... Well, erm, does it often bother you? Not that you have to tell me! Just that, I... I imagine it’s hard to find people who relate.
Tumblr media
I... You know, I’m not sure? I used to want to travel the world, but there was something... so dreamy about sitting in a classroom, expanding minds. I suppose I got caught up in my daydreams, then made them a reality.
There’s a distinct difference in the brick buildings of a university and the florescence of a private school, but... It’s nice. Calming. Most of the time.

Perhaps? But -- ah -- I suppose it’s a good thing I don’t often drink.
Tumblr media
I think it’s excellent that you can ignore the stigma. It’s nothing similar, but, I’m asked if I wanted to be a teacher because of all the vacations. Because I obviously only want children of my own, so I took a job based on their eventual schedule, and -- Oh... erm... that was harsh. And passive-aggressive. I’m sorry for projecting that while we’re talking about you.
But! Your mother left? I -- ah... well, I would say I’m sorry, but I think we both know it wouldn’t change anything? I ... don’t mean to be cruel. I’m just sure you’ve heard it more than once?
Valentina & Michelle
I mean, you need a lot of strength to work the pole, but I think it’s easy. I get paid to have a good time and to give others the same. That’s not hard at all! There is a stigma, but fuck it. I don’t worry about it. I don’t want winkles.
Ah! Come on. I don’t believe that. A couple drinks in you, that person is gonna disappear. You gotta come out your shell any way. Besides, you’re hot.
Tumblr media
My mom left after she had me. We lived in Arizona. My grandma and other familar still live there. I’ll visit, eventually? I don’t know. I came to LA on my own. Like mother like daughter, heh.

Theodore... Theodore Anderson? Oh, my God... I am so sorry. Truly, I am -- I didn’t, I thought..

I didn’t think. That’s the problem. I am so sorry.

I would certainly say so! Anything nightgown related must have been, at the time.
Tumblr media
That sounds... wonderful, actually. I’m so sorry if I seem rude, but... did I ask your name?
