Chapter 4 first half - Trust -
Me: “Argh, what a headache…”
I got up, scratching my left ear.
Me: “Hey Bliz… AH!”
She wasn't in the bed next to mine. I looked around and saw Bliz's house, all gray. With a terrified voice, I asked myself:
Me: “W-what happened here?”
I went outside Bliz's house and what I saw… paralyzed me with terror.
Me: “What is this place…? AND WHY DOES IT LOOK SO DAMN FAMILIAR?!?”
Everything was destroyed and paralyzed, I didn't know where I was, but the feeling of nostalgia was wearing me down inside.
Words echoed loudly in my head, causing me sharp pain.
"help them."
Crying in pain, I replied:
Me: “WHO ARE YOU?!?! STOP IT, YOU'RE HURTING ME!”
"HELP THEM."
Me: “WHO SHOULD I HELP?!?!??”
"HELP THEM HELP THEM HELP THEM HELP THEM HELP THEM!!"
me: “AAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
.
.
.
I woke up screaming. Bliz, worried, rushed over to me as fast as she could.
Bliz: “JOSEPH, ARE YOU OK?!?”
I sighed, trying to calm my breathing… to no avail.
Me: “Y-yes, Bliz, it was just a nightmare…”
A tear rolled down my cheek.
Me: (“What kind of nightmare was that??? My head still hurts from that rumbling….”)
Bliz asked me again, worried:
Bliz: “Are you… really sure you're okay…?”
She looked at me puzzled, coming as close as she could.
Me: “Yes, don't worry… Weren't you going to show me town today?”
I was already feeling better. The wounds were… almost healed.
Bliz: “……Are you sure you can walk around?”
I nodded and began to remove many of the bandages I was wearing. I left only the bandage on my forehead.
Me: “Hey, don't worry. Like I said before, it was just a bad dream. And look, most of the wounds have healed, and it's thanks to you!”
She breathed a sigh of relief. Only after I relaxed did I realize how clean Bliz had made herself.
Bliz: “….Okay, fine. I'll just grab something and be right back.”
She smiled as she climbed the stairs and came back with a… Bag?
Me: “A bag?”
She nodded, taking the fragment and putting it inside the bag. It fit perfectly.
Bliz: "Yes, I'm putting the ancient fragment in there. I always carry it with me, I like to use it as a good luck charm. … Although I wanted to use the bag for something else…"
Bliz looked away, avoiding eye contact with me. She went downstairs, but noticing that I wasn't following her, she called me from the doorway.
Bliz: “Come on, Eon, hurry up! I want to show you everything I can.”
Use it for something else? I didn't understand why she looked away. What did she want to do with that bag?
Me: “Yes, I'll be right there!”
We left Bliz's house and arrived in the center of the village, where a well and stairs blocked by planks welcomed us. It was full of work materials. It was as if they were renovating the center.
Bliz: “Welcome to Treasure town, This is the center of the village! Unfortunately, they're doing construction, so, as you can see, it's full of wooden beams and things like that.”
I looked around and noticed all those beams.
Me: “Bliz, what's that?”
I pointed to the barricaded stairs.
Bliz: “That'll be a new store, but I'm not sure what kind of store it'll be yet. From what I know, these materials are for that store. Let's leave it at that for now. Come on, I'll show you the rest.”
Bliz seemed very excited to show me around.
Me: “I'm coming…”
I was about to catch up with Bliz when a small Marill crashed into me.
???: “Oh, I'm sorry.”
When he crashed into me, he dropped the apple he was holding in his paws.
Me: “Don't worry, little one, is it okay if I ask your name?”
I picked up the apple and placed it in his paws, cleaning it.
???: “M-my name is Ralsei, I'm going to pick up my little sister Hatchy, thank you so much for picking up the apple for me.”
He bowed shyly.
Me: “Be more careful next time.”
I patted the little one on the head twice.
Ralsei: “Yes, I'll be more careful, sir!”
He ran away with a little smile on his face.
Bliz: “Eon, what's going on?”
He asked, approaching me. I shook my head.
Me: “Nothing in particular, actually.”
I said, simply shrugging my shoulders.
Bliz: “Let's go, then!”
Bliz shouted euphorically. We arrived at the most populated part of the city.
Bliz: “This is the Kecleon brothers' shop.”
The store had a unique shape. It was two Kecleon heads with their mouths open. Inside the mouths was the store itself. The counters were positioned where the lower teeth would be. The two brothers welcomed us immediately.
1???: “Welcome.”
Both Kecleon were the same colors as the heads of the store.
2???: “Hi Bliz, who's he, a new friend?”
They were both happy to see Bliz with an extra friend. She nodded.
Bliz: “Eon, they're—”
They interrupted Bliz. The green Kecleon continued.
1???: “Oh no dear, leave the introductions to us. Eon, Bliz, step back.”
We nodded and stepped back. The two climbed over the balcony and positioned themselves between the two stores.
2???: “I'm Lion.”
1???: “And I'm Kecky.”
They both struck a proud pose, pointing at the store with both paws and exclaimed:
“Welcome to the Kecky-and-Lion store, where tongue twisters and quality items are the order of the day.”
Bliz let out a laugh.
Lion: “Ha ha ha, always nice to see you laugh, Bliz.”
Lion and Kecky laughed with joy, clearly delighted that their little trick always worked to make people laugh.
Bliz: “Heh heh. Anyway, yes, he's a new friend of mine and I'm showing him around the town.”
The two gave her a thumbs up and returned behind the counter.
Kecky: “Well, we'll leave you to it. Make sure you show him all the best spots, and your pos-”
Bliz interrupted him.
Bliz: “Shhhhh, it's a surprise.”
Me: (“A… surprise?”)
Bliz: “Well, we're off then. We're going to pay a quick visit to the others.”
They both waved goodbye to Bliz.
Kecky and Lion: “Bye, Bliz.”
I stood there watching them. Lion caught the other's attention, pointing at me.
Me: “Goodbye…”
I said shyly.
Kecky and Lion: “Bye to you too, Eon!”
And with a pat on the head, they sent me back to Bliz.
Bliz: “Next stop… the Kangaskhan warehouse!”
We started walking again. We passed by various Pokémon, some of which I had never seen before. Bliz noticed my interest in all those Pokémon.
Bliz: “…Treasure town is a very important destination for those who are… explorers. All these people… won't be staying here for long.”
Bliz struggled to say the word “explorer.”
Me: “Well—”
I was about to say something, but she unconsciously interrupted me.
Bliz: “Oh, here we are!”
She showed me a shop with a rather menacing statue of a Kangaskhan. Clearly, the shop was shaped like the Pokémon in question. The peculiar thing was its horns, which were disproportionately elongated.
Bliz: “She runs this shop, which is actually a warehouse.”
A Kangaskhan approached menacingly and then… .
???: "BLIIIIIZ, welcome to my shop, sweetie🎶. Oh, who's this? A new friend of yours…? How silly of me, I forgot to introduce myself. You can call me Katoru. And who are you, sweetie?"
The Kangaskhan was very sweet, funny, and had a habit of calling everyone “sweetie.”
Me: “My name is Joseph, Joseph Eon. N-nice to meet you, Katoru…”
I said, stepping back a little, due to the Pokémon's enormous size.
Katoru: “No, no, dear, the pleasure is all mine.”
She bent down gently, patting the statue depicting her a couple of times.
Bliz: “Hey Katoru, can you explain to my friend what your warehouse is for? He's new around here and a little lost.”
Katoru approached us and placed her paws on our heads.
Katoru: “Of course, dear🎶. From the name, you'll have guessed that it's a storage facility. Yes, it's exactly what you think, and it's at your complete disposal. When you tackle the dungeons and have items you don't want to lose or don't need, leave them here.”
At that moment, a question popped into my head.
Me: “Dungeons? What are they?”
At my question, Bliz's eyes lit up.
Katoru: “Oh oh oh, I think someone is dying to answer that!”
Bliz didn't need to be asked twice.
Bliz: "Dungeons are mysterious places that change every time you enter them. You find items, battle Pokémon, but here's the best part: at the end of many dungeons, there are always treasures. Sometimes they can be silly little treasures. Or they might not even be material objects, like breathtaking landscapes, new friendships, and so on. However, they are dangerous because of the wild Pokémon inside. If you get knocked out in a dungeon, you lose half your items and some money. That's why there's the Kangaskhan storage and the Duskull bank."
As Bliz talked about dungeons, I listened, captivated by her words.
Me: “They sound like… beautiful places!”
I said excitedly. Bliz shared my enthusiasm and seemed very relieved to hear my interest in dungeons, for some reason.
Katoru: “They are, but you have to be careful. Bliz, dear. Have you introduced Joseph to our dear Osiris?”
She shook her head and looked in the direction that most likely led to the shop.
Bliz: “Not yet, but it will be our next stop.”
Kangaskhan laughed, knowing what awaited me in the presence of this Osiris.
Katoru: “Well, then I'll let you go, my dears🎶. Be careful, and please, Bliz… Don't get yourself into any more trouble, okay?”
She patted Bliz and looked at me, winking and smiling.
We both said goodbye and started walking towards Duskull Bank. On this street, there were fewer Pokémon, and the few that remained… ran away in the opposite direction. Bliz was very calm, humming a familiar and cheerful little tune.
Bliz: “Here's Duskull Bank, come on, let's go in.”
Just like Katoru's shop, in this “shop” there was a statue depicting the owner… flying?
Me: “Bliz, is it normal for the statue to be flying…”
I didn't have time to finish my sentence before someone with a dark and cold voice interrupted me.
???: “Levitating.”
I jumped back a little in fright. I looked around but saw no one.
???: “Who are you?”
A shadow that appeared out of nowhere asked me. I looked at it and replied tremulously.
Me: “M-my name is Eon.”
I mumbled my name as I introduced myself, feeling a little intimidated. A Duskull with unusual glasses appeared on the shadow that had appeared out of nowhere.
???: “Nice to meet you… Eon, I'm Osiris. Are you new around here…? You don't see many Riolu here.”
He said, approaching me and looking at me with a gloomy expression, as if he wanted to scare me.
Bliz: “Ah, there you are. I see you've met Osiris. Silly me, I went into the store to call him.”
She laughed nervously out of embarrassment.
Osiris: “Oh Bliz, what a pleasant surprise. Is he a friend of yours?”
She nodded at the usual question, approached the flying statue, and replied:
Bliz: “Yes, I was showing him the city, just one more stop to go.”
He bowed his head and looked with his one eye first at me, then at Bliz, adjusting his glasses, which seemed pointless since he only had one eye and the pair was made for two eyes.
Osiris: “So I assume you're going to see him too?”
Bliz shook his head.
Bliz: "No… He's too busy with work. Never mind, I'd like you to explain what exactly you do, if that's okay."
Osiris: “Of course, but let's go inside first.”
We followed Osiris into his shop. Bliz's tail was slightly ruffled; he didn't seem to like this place.
Osiris: “Welcome to my bank. I let your money earned in dungeons rest in peace until you withdraw it. Knowing Bliz, I think she was dying to explain what a dungeon is, so I assume you already know what happens if you get knocked down.”
Bliz blushed.
Bliz: “You know me too well by now…”
She sighed, seeming quite annoyed by Osiris' statement.
Bliz: “Hey, um… Eon, let's go. We still have a few things to see…”
It seemed like an excuse to leave the store. Osiris seemed used to it.
Osiris: “Bye bye, pure souls, see you next time.”
Osiris disappeared, leaving his shop… unattended (?). Anyway, we left the shop and I turned my attention back to the statuette.
Bliz: “Eon? Are you still admiring the flying statue? Sorry if I seemed a little insensitive, but this place gives me the creeps…”
Someone whispered in our ears.
“The statue… it's levitating…”
Bliz and I, upon hearing those words, ran as fast as we could out of the shop.
Me: “I can… understand why you don't like that place… But Osiris was nice, even if he was a little scary, and then, if I can be honest, now I'd like to see a dungeon with my own eyes.”
Seeing my renewed interest in dungeons, Bliz looked at me as she walked.
Bliz: “Um… Eon. Now that you know all these shops, you also know the basics… You… You'll…”
She bumped into a Koffing, dropping her bag and the ancient fragment inside it.
Bliz: “Oh, um, I… I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to.”

Chapter 3 -Stars-
Two figures were wandering in the dark inside a cave.
1???: "Come on, hurry up, we're almost there…. Damn, a fork in the road. Where do we go now?"
The second figure approached the boulder between the two roads.
2??: "I'll try to see, give me a moment."
It placed a hand on the boulder and after a few seconds pointed to the left road.
2???: "That way!"
It said, throwing a pebble to see if it was really safe or not.
1???: "Did you really use that to…"
The second figure silenced the first.
2???: "Look, how I use it is the least of our problems-"
ROOOOOOOOOOOOARRRRR
1???: "Oh no, it's here…here……her………er………..er…….e…………… ….e…….
…e…….y…
…e..y…..e.y……Hey…. he's…in very bad shape. Better take him with me."
I barely opened my eyes; I had a huge headache. I couldn't see anything in my surroundings, but I noticed that someone was carrying me.
Me: "W-who…are you…?"
I asked with what little energy I had left.
???: "Don't talk, conserve your strength."
My ears were also not in very good shape, but I heard a female voice trying to communicate; but I did not understand a word. I didn't know the motivation, but everything hurt. I could not even keep my eyes open; I was exhausted. I tried to remain conscious, but my attempts were in vain.
I woke up; I was on top of a bed. My vision had not yet fully recovered, but still I got up from it all shaky. I tried to move forward but I stumbled and fell on the floor--of leaves?
Me: "Where… Where did I end up? Mom? Dad?! Prof!?!"
No one answered.
Me: “WHERE AM I!?!”
On hearing creaking sounds coming from the stairs, I realized that shouting was not a smart thing to do.
Me: “W-who goes there?”
An Eevee slowly emerged from the stairs and as soon as he saw me standing, he stepped back.
???: "H-hey, I saw you yesterday on the beach. Y-you were unconscious and had a lot of injuries so I brought you here."
She was very agitated, probably not expecting me to wake up.
Me: (“A talking Pokémon … all normal, I'm going crazy.”)
I tried to convince myself otherwise. Well, it clearly didn't work. The Eevee quickly shook its head and approached me, allowing me to use its rump to stand up.
???: “Please…be careful, I don't want your wounds to reopen…”
Now that I looked better, I was covered with bandages from head to toe. I even had one on my forehead. In looking at myself better I noticed a very small change.
Me: "…thank you for saving me. Do you happen to know where I am? And how did I get like this? AND WHY AM I A RIOLU!!!?"
I think I got punched by reality. I no longer understood anything that was going on….
The worried Eevee looked at me and said:
???: "You are in Treasure Town, I-I don't know who beat you up like this, b-because, as I said before, I found you already like this and… what do you mean 'why you are a Riolu?' "
I lowered my gaze, looking to the left, resting my right paw on my left arm.
Me: "I…I wasn't a Riolu before. I was a human…"
She tilted her head to the right and scrutinized me carefully.
???: "A… human? But you are clearly a Riolu…"
I sighed, trying to move as little as possible.
Me: ("Hm… Of course he doesn't believe me, but why did I become like this, phew. Whatever, complaining is useless. I have to find a way to get back to my world…")
I thought about what might have happened inside that blue light. Where could I have gone to make myself look like this? That it was just the passage?
???: “Um, hey, are you okay?”
She brought me back to the world of the living.
Me: "AH…um, yeah. Everything okay…"
She smiled and resting a paw on her mane said:
???: “I-I haven't introduced myself yet, my name is Bliz, what's your name?”
I tried to relax, I was in an unfamiliar place, the Pokémon in front of me was talking, and I was aching all over… Great.
Me: “I am Joseph, Joseph Eon, nice to meet you Bliz.”
Upon hearing my name, Bliz began to think.
Bliz: "Joseph… I-in fact, it doesn't sound like a Pokémon name, it's very peculiar…"
I tilted my head to the left.
Me: “If you want, you can just call me Eon.”
I said, noticing her conflicted look. She nodded.
Bliz: "I have an idea, Eon. How about we take a ride into town tomorrow?"
I had a feeling that his shyness was giving way to a hint of exhilaration. His tail seemed to want to wag, but Bliz wouldn't allow it.
Me: “Hmm…”
Not that I could do anything else, besides, I would also have a chance to explore the surroundings better.
Me: "It's a deal. At least you let me know the place well."
I said, smiling at her. Luckily she was the one who found me, she was kind. I tried to get closer, but was stopped by two cramps…. I was in really bad shape.
Bliz: "Don't struggle… You're not totally healed yet."
In fact, I wasn't. If I was careful, though, I could take a few steps.
Me: “I'm fine, you don't have to worry.”
I knew it was useless to say, she was…. I didn't know how to explain it.
Bliz: "Come, I'll help you. I want to show you something."
She sat me down calmly on the bed, which I only now noticed was made of straw. Bliz climbed the stairs that who knows where they lead to… After a few minutes, I heard a lever pulled from above and…?
Me: (“The roof… Is it moving?!?”)
The roof slowly opened up to show an enooooormous bed of stars. Bliz's head peeked out from a raised platform…. And here was the answer to my previous question.
Bliz: "W-well… what do you think?"
I was left speechless. I didn't know that a rooftop could do such a thing.
Me: "I… I have no words. It's… It's beautiful! Did you build this place?"
I asked spellbound. Such a bright sky, you don't forget it so easily.
Bliz: "Yes, but I had help. Maybe tomorrow during the city tour, if he's free. I'd be happy to add him to one of our stops and I'll introduce him to you."
She came down the stairs and sat across from me.
Me: “That would be nice, Bliz.”
I smiled as I watched the Eevee wag her tail. Now that she knew me a little better, she had put aside her shyness almost completely.
Bliz: "Then see you tomorrow, Eon. You can sleep where you're sitting. Do you… need a hand to lie down?"
I laughed slightly at Bliz's question.
Me: "No need, Bliz. I can do it myself. See you tomorrow."
Bliz closed the roof and waving at me again, left. I tried to close my eyes, but I couldn't. After two hours of sleeplessness, I got out of bed and climbed the stairs to review the view. There was a window on the next floor; I looked through it to scan the city lights in the distance. I couldn't wait to go out and explore the city….
Me: ("The view is really beautiful…. I can't stop thinking about the voice before entering the portal, though. Why do I have to do that? Will I be able to go back? But the thing that worries me the most…. Will I be able to help those in need…. Here?")
Bliz climbed the stairs.
Bliz: "I wonder if he is already asleep? No, I wouldn't want to bother him…. What if he already thinks I'm crazy!!!? Ugh…"
I heard Bliz's worried talk and laughed under my breath. She noticed I was gone and turned around, noticing straw on the stairs to the next floor.
Bliz: “Oh, there you are.”
She, with a few hops, climbed the stairs very quickly.
Bliz: “Were you looking at the view in the hope that you would get sleepy?”
She asked looking at me tilting her head to the right.
Me: “Yes, Bliz, you guessed it.”
I replied while continuing to look out in a sad tone. She walked over and sat down next to me.
Bliz: "… I know it is hard for you to find yourself here without knowing how to get back. But while you're here, why don't you enjoy the place a little?"
Me: ("ARGH, but what am I thinking, Bliz is right, this place looks like paradise. I can't ruin it with my stupid thoughts.")
I glanced at Bliz, and noticed that there was some blood on his back. It was probably my own…. I tried to wipe it off with the only bandage still not dirty, the one on my forehead.
Bliz: "No, don't worry. No need to do that, I could really use a good wash…thanks anyway, Eon."
She shifted her gaze, observing the city by resting her forehead on the window. I had still managed to clean her back a little, soiling the sash.
Bliz: "Do you know what my desire is? To explore the most remote caverns of the world and find phenomenal treasures. And by treasures I don't mean silly things like gold or diamonds or things like that. I'd just like phenomenal scenery or extravagant trinkets like this."
She pointed to an object on the shelf….
She pointed to an object on the shelf.
it was a strange rock with a symbol on it. I felt like I had seen it before.
Me: “You know it looks familiar, but I can't remember where I saw it…”
Immediately, she looked at me with bright eyes.
Bliz: "Really!!!? You know, this is the most precious treasure I have. I really wish I knew where it came from…"
I approached the piece and tried to touch it…. But I stopped, not wanting to break it.
Me: “Do you have any idea where it belongs yet?”
I turned toward her. She came closer, denying it with her head.
Bliz: "Unfortunately, no… It was this ancient fragment that made me want to explore the whole world, and it is funny you know?"
I continued to look at Bliz, but this time in a confused way.
Bliz: "This ancient fragment, I found right where I found you. It had been dragged by the sea when I was very small. But it could be a coincidence."
I looked down, and tried to concentrate, hoping to remember something… But nothing.
Me: “I wonder if you'll understand where it came from.”
She went up on the shelf and touched the object for a few minutes and then went down.
Bliz: "I hope so, come on enough talk, it's getting very late. Help me get the beds up here if you can."
Me: “Don't worry, I'm better already.”
As soon as I tried to move to follow her, I got several cramps.
Bliz: "Oi! I told you not to exert yourself. I'll carry them, don't worry. In the meanwhile, if you can, pull the second lever. DO NOT pull the first one, if you don't want to fall down."
I carried out the "orders" given by Bliz by opening only the roof. Evidently the other lever opened this floor as well. Bliz returned with the beds, we set them up together and fell asleep.
In the meantime.
1???: Did you hear what he said?
2???: "Of course I heard, how about we give him a nice surprise tomorrow?"
1???: "Eh eh eh my friend you read my mind."
2???: "Come on let's get back to where we belong."
1???: "All right."
After a few hours in an unknown place.
2???: "Boss we have arrived."
3???: "DID YOU STALK THAT RIOLU?"
1???: "Yes boss, he says he is a human what nonsense."
3???: "A HUMAN EH…. INTERESTING, GUYS PAY HIM A VISIT TOMORROW."
2???: "Eh eh eh we already thought of that boss."
1???: "Boss maybe we have something to give you, tomorrow at the visit I think we'll take it…borrow it."
3???: "EH EH EH, GUYS DON'T HOLD BACK."

Chapter 2 - Home -
I woke up, dazed and unable to remember anything. I was lying on something very comfortable.
I looked around, unable to recognize the place, and suddenly a rectangle with something spinning inside opened, letting in a figure identical to me but taller. She went over to a strange veil, opened it, letting light into the room.
Immediately afterwards, she looked at me… and a deathly silence filled the room. After a few minutes, she approached me and asked:
???: “How are you?”
I looked at her closely, put my left hand on my head, and replied:
Me: “F-fine, I think.”
The figure relaxed and lifted me up from the comfortable object. She sat me down.
Me: “Who are you?”
I asked, not recognizing her.
???: “Call me… Mom.”
I didn't know what to say, there were too many things I didn't understand.
Me: “Why Mom, Mom?”
She didn't answer. Trying not to laugh at the repeated word.
Me: “Where am I?”
The silence was becoming really awkward.
Mom: “…You're at home, in the small town of New Bark Town in the Johto region.”
I… didn't understand anything…
Me: “What is New Bark Town? What is a region?”
Mom sighed.
Mom: “I'll explain later. Now come, I'll introduce you to the others.”
I tilted my head, looking at her.
Me: “O… others?”
She smiled.
Mom: “Don't you want to see your family again?”
I nodded. With her help, I climbed down from that comfortable object and left the room with her. The house was very… nostalgic, comfortable, and the temperature was just right. We went downstairs and into the kitchen where she introduced me to the others:
My brother, a little younger than me, was hyperactive and seemed… very annoying.
My sister was just like my mother, only taller, much calmer than her little brother, and I could tell from her appearance that she was kind.
And my father was a big, smiling man. As soon as we entered the room, he scared me a little… but then… he got up, came over and said to me in a soft voice:
“Welcome home.”
After meeting everyone, my mother took me outside, and the view was beautiful. A nice breeze filled the small town, which was equipped with strange contraptions that turned as the wind passed. Sometimes they sped up and other times they slowed down; it depended on the speed of the wind.
Among these buildings, one stood out in particular: white, with various antennas on top pointing towards a rise in the distance.
Me: “What's that?”
I asked, pointing to the unusual building. Mom laughed at my curiosity.
Mom: “It's a laboratory, let's say it's a place where they work every day to make new discoveries. Do you want to go inside?”
I looked at Mom with bright eyes and nodded as quickly as I could.
She took me inside the laboratory. It was… tidy, large, and there were many objects I didn't recognize; it was difficult to describe everything I saw. I can only say that these objects displayed different colors, and seeing all those colors made my head spin.
Mom: “Let me introduce you to Professor Elm.”
They all turned to look at me, speaking in hushed tones. I felt intimidated; I didn't like being looked at by everyone.
This “Elm” approached and bent down to my height.
Elm: “Hello, little one, what is your name?”
Memories clouded my mind.
…I…will…call…you…EON.
I recovered and answered clearly.
Me: “E-Eon.”
The professor looked at me in surprise, then laughed and asked:
Elm: “Why do you want to be called Eon?”
I felt a little uncomfortable answering the question.
Me: “I don’t know why, but when it comes to names, that’s the only one that comes to mind…”
Elm stood up and placed two fingers on his chin.
Elm: “Hmm… Let’s see if I can find you a real name.”
After quite a few failed attempts…
Elm: “Here’s another one, what do you think of Joseph? Joseph Eon.”
Me: “Hmm… I don’t know, maybe it’s not so bad.”
Elm smiled and, approaching his trinkets, asked:
Elm: “Do you want to see what I do?”
Curiosity got the better of me and I said yes.
Elm: “Okay, guys, take your places. Let's show off the fruits of our labor!”
Everyone responded with a “let's get to work!” And humming, they began to gather pieces from everywhere and put them together, with the help of the professor.
Once finished, he showed me what he had created.
Elm: “This is a Pokédex.”
I scrutinized it carefully, looking at every detail of the little rectangle without understanding how it was supposed to work.
Me: “What is it for?”
He clicked a button and the little rectangle opened.
Elm: “It's for gathering information about Pokémon.”
As soon as he mentioned Pokémon, other memories clouded my mind.
"T…….ei…..u…n…..P……. é…..on."
I recovered again; I was a little conflicted.
Me: “Mom, why are these memories so blurred?”
She stroked my head and smiled at me.
Mom: "You've been asleep for a long time, it's normal not to remember anything. I can't help you recover your memories, you'll have to recover them yourself. Otherwise, you might faint again, and we don't want that."
Elm, a little perplexed by the situation, stroked my head to cheer me up and asked:
Elm: “Hey… Um, would you like to help me with the Pokédex?”
Sighing, I said yes.
So I started helping the professor. I brought him things, went around with him looking for hidden objects, watched Pokémon from a distance, and much more.
Thanks to him, I discovered what Pokémon are and how they behave. I even managed to get close to some Pokémon in an attempt to pet them. He also explained how to recognize doors and various pieces of furniture in the house, in the hope that they would no longer be referred to as “the rectangle with a thing that spins.” The professor called these lessons “school.”
Evening came, and high in the sky, a white ball could be seen. I was lying on a hill, busy looking at the huge ball.
Me: “professor… what's that?”
He sat down next to me, seeing what I was pointing at.
Elm: “That's the moon, it gives light at night and… Hey Giuseppe, can you promise me something?”
He changed the subject so quickly that it confused me for a moment.
Me: “What, prof?”
After a few minutes of silence, he got up and pointed at the moon.
Elm: “Promise me you won't treat Pokémon as fighting tools, but as friends.”
I looked at him confused; it seemed like a simple answer to me.
Me: “Yes, prof, I promise… But why this request…?”
He sighed, scratching the back of his neck.
Elm: “My… penultimate student didn't have very clear ideas about this, but never mind.”
He turned to me, bent down, and held out his hand.
Elm: “Now let's go, I'll take you home. We're already about 3 minutes and 20 seconds late.”
I turned away.
Me: “I don't want to go home yet…”
The teacher laughed, trying to lift me up by force… But that wasn't one of his strong points.
Elm: “Come on, Eon, I don't want to get another scolding from your mother. This is the fifth time she's complained.”
After a few attempts, he managed to convince me and took me home.
Time began to pass…
During this time, my mom and the professor explained how my body worked, how it grew, how it allowed me to walk, and much more. They also introduced me to new household items, but this time with the help of the whole family. My brother taught me how to play video games, my sister let me try cooking (I almost set everything on fire, no big deal), and my dad occasionally took me with him to try out his job, which consisted of carrying boxes full of goods to the Pokémon market.
…
Our research with the Pokédex came to a standstill. I was angry, even though my conscience knew it wasn't the right thing to do, so I threw the Pokédex on the ground. I didn't hear the crash, so I opened my eyes to find it suspended in midair. I was speechless and looked at the professor.
Me: “Prof, how did you make the Pokédex fly?!?!? I didn't know it could do that kind of thing!”
My voice was excited, but the professor's confused face put a damper on my enthusiasm.
Elm: “Look, I didn't do anything, Eon. Rather… are your eyes… different?”
I tilted my head to the left at his response.
Me: “What do you mean, prof?”
He came closer, put his thumb on my right cheek, closer to my eye, trying to see better.
Elm: “Your eyes are… green. Ha ha, I knew it! I knew this moment would come!”
The professor jumped up, looking for something. He started digging through his drawer of wonders. He pulled out a small metal square, probably damaged by time.
Me: “What… What is it?”
I asked curiously, looking at the object.
Elm: "Remember when I told you about my student? Well… he wasn't good with Pokémon, but he was a legend in mechanics. He could build these trinkets in no time. Now, Eon, press the center of this square."
He handed me the object. I took it and tried clicking on it, and the square expanded into a sort of controller.
Holding this controller in my hand… made me feel strange. A strange feeling… Mom had explained it to me. Could it be nostalgia…?
Without warning, I moved a lever on the remote control. The Pokédex, which was still in the air, shot at high speed against the wall, making the professor jump.
Elm: “That remote control is for you to control your powers, but… You should get used to it. It's complicated to understand how it works.”
I looked at the controller, scrutinizing every single part of it.
Me: “Wait… I… I… I have powers?!”
The professor nodded.
Elm: “Your mother warned me that you would manifest your powers sooner or later. Instead of destroying all our research, hold onto this sponge ball. Maybe when we're done, you can try them out on it.”
With sparkling eyes, I took the sponge ball and looked at the professor with a huge smile. I wanted to go right then and there, I was so excited.
Elm: “Come on, don't look at me like that… I don't… Argh! All right, you're dismissed. You can go practice, heh heh… I can't resist those big eyes…”
He patted me on the head. At that moment, my body wanted to jump higher than the sky, to reach space with a single leap!
I left the lab and started practicing with the ball. I placed it on the ground and tried to use my powers on it again. As soon as I moved the lever, the ball hit me straight in the face, causing me to fall on my backside.
Me: “Oof… No… I don't have to give up!”
I got up more determined than before. After three more balls to the face, I realized that this contraption wasn't very easy to use… But I didn't give up. I kept trying and trying, doing my best to control the ball, but I couldn't.
After a day of trying and trying again, between high-speed balls to the face, a broken window, and a few people hit by the ball, I managed to at least keep it in the air without it flying everywhere at high speed. It was very unstable and looked like it was about to fly off somewhere at any moment…
Me: “PROF!!! PROF!!!! I DID IT.”
I saw the professor running from his lab towards me with a big smile on his face.
Elm: “Joseph, you've already learned how to use the remote control?!? You were quick! Although it shouldn't be a surprise to me; after all, it should be easy for you.”
I shyly lowered my gaze, stroking my cheek a little. The ball fell to the ground as soon as I did that.
Me: “Actually, I don't think it was that easy… My whole face still hurts, and I think the whole neighborhood hates me.”
The professor burst out laughing at my statement. As usual, he stroked my head. I was used to it by now… Honestly, I liked it.
Elm: "Ahaha, come on, it's no big deal. We'll fix everything. You know, when I was little like you, I was a troublemaker. My ‘apprentice’…
He… He sighed.
Elm: “…My best friend, he took all the blame, hehe, you're just like him.”
I looked at him, tilting my head to the left. At that moment, I was curious to know who he was.
Elm: “ARGH, I'm getting lost in chatter. Speaking of important things, tomorrow is the big day. Tomorrow you turn 10.”
At that statement, it all came back to me and I realized…
Me: “Tomorrow? OH, THAT'S RIGHT, I FORGOT.”
He took both the ball and the square.
Elm: “Come on, go. Remember to stop by tomorrow. It'll be your birthday, but you still have to help me with a few things. I can't take you back today, I have to do a favor.”
He said goodbye and left. I got home and we started setting the table… That evening was strange, nobody talked about their day, as they usually do.
Me: “Um… I'm going to bed then.”
Mom nodded. And without saying anything, she motioned for me to leave. Confused, I threw myself on the bed, wondering what I had done, if something had happened that they didn't want to talk to me about, or something else.
I couldn't sleep… Too many thoughts. Morning came, and I saw Mom come in with the whole family to shout:
“SURPRISE!”
I jumped up when I saw my whole family wishing me a happy birthday with a delicious golden berry cake.
Everyone surrounded my bed and smiled at me.
Dad: “Giuseppe, you've become a little man. How do you feel?”
He held out his hand to high-five me, so of course I did.
Mom: “If you grow this fast, I'm afraid we'll have to change the roof of the house.”
She looked up at the ceiling, laughing under her breath.
Sister: “Happy birthday, and make sure you eat all the cake. I made it myself.”
She winked at me.
Brother: “Joseph, the gift we got you is beautiful, and it took us a long time to find it.”
He was perhaps the most excited of all.
I looked at everyone and, with a few tears, said:
“Thank you all.”
After getting up, I got ready and ate the cake with the others, saving a slice for the professor.
My sister posed proudly:
Sister: “Did you like the cake?”
I nodded as quickly as I could.
Me: “Yes, it's delicious…”
Before I could even finish my sentence, I found a piece of pit inside my slice.
Me: “OW!”
Everyone laughed at my cry.
Sister: “That pit will bring you luck.”
After giving them a few dirty looks, I joined in their laughter.
Mom: “Joseph, let's stop here for now. Go to your professor. We'll continue the party tonight.”
I got up from the table, thanked everyone again, and left the house. Destination, laboratory!
Me: “Prof, I'm here… but there's no one here?”
I put the cake on the table and, even though the laboratory was completely dark, I went in. There were some books in disarray and some papers on the floor. The professor came in immediately after.
Elm: “Oh Eon, you're here early. Sorry, I haven't finished yesterday's work yet. Ignore the mess in here. Could you step outside for a moment so I can tidy up and we can start the day?”
I smiled, pointing to the cake.
Me: “Sure, Prof, I brought you a slice of cake my sister made.”
He looked at it and chuckled.
I left the lab, preparing myself for another busy day. But apparently, something or someone had something else in store for me that day. A blue light coming from the city center attracted me. I only noticed now that there was no one around. That light… It started to suck me in.
“What is this… IT'S PULLING ME IN, PROFESSOR!!!! MOM!!!! DAD!!!!”
???: “It's useless to shout... ‘Eon,’ no one can hear you.”
“What? Who... Who are you?”
???: “You're not supposed to know that now. Enter the portal, they need you on the other side.”
“On the other side...? Damn... I-I feel dizzy...”
At that point... I fainted.

Chapter 1 - Egg -
I opened my eyes and found myself in a confined, very dark place with two other deformed figures, one red and one blue. They woke up too, and we stared at each other for a while. After quite some time, we shyly greeted each other with our… hands? Paws? I can't give you a detailed description.
After a couple of days, we began to approach each other and try to interact by making noises. The red figure, the blue figure, and I began to interact more with each other.
While we were playing, the red figure began to float along with the blue figure; however, while trying to follow them, I transformed into another being and was unable to return to my previous state. Even with the help of Red and Blue, I couldn't return to normal. Red approached me sadly; I shook my head and gave him a light caress, sighing as I looked at my new body. It was a more uniform body than the one I had before. I hoped that, with sleep, I would return to normal. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
After a while, I was awakened by a light: it was another figure. I tried to get a better look at it, but its light grew brighter and brighter until I had to close my eyes.
I opened them again.
I found myself in a completely different place, very large and full of greenery, completely surrounded by water, with the moon in the sky shining down on what looked like an oasis. I turned around and saw the figure who had brought me to the oasis; with him was another figure, very imposing and large. I was afraid, but I tried to approach them. My mouth moved on its own, uttering three words.
“Who are you?”
I didn't realize I had spoken. It was instinctive. The smaller figure laughed and said:
???: “We are Pokémon, just like you.”
I couldn't understand why I understood the words he was saying, I didn't even know how to speak. The figure, or rather the imposing Pokémon, silenced the smaller Pokémon, which, on closer inspection, was pink, had a very long tail, and was floating. The imposing Pokémon approached, bent down close to my ear, and whispered three words.
“You are special.”
After those words, I began to feel my head spinning, spinning, spinning… until I passed out.
When I woke up and noticed that Red and Blue were asleep… I thought it was a dream, since they couldn't have missed a light like that, even if they were sleeping deeply.
I snorted, crouched down, and went back to sleep, feeling a little disappointed.
When I woke up, I decided not to mention it to Red and Blue because I thought they wouldn't believe me, and they would be right, because I didn't believe it myself.
They noticed that I was acting strange and came over, sitting down beside me with concerned looks on their faces. I smiled and pretended nothing was wrong, even though it was difficult to hide my disappointment… but I returned their “hug” with my arms, holding them as close to me as possible. My spirits soared after that hug.
The moment came when we were about to fall asleep again. I decided to stay awake to see if the light, the imposing Pokémon, and that island were all a dream or not, even though I was honestly dying of sleep.
The light reappeared again, the same Pokémon, it looked at me hugging the two and laughed with joy.
???: “Hello again. You look really cute with your brothers.”
I wasn't sure what it was saying, but at that moment, I couldn't help but smile, and I felt my face warm up.
???: “I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself yesterday. My name is Mew.”
Before I could speak, it transported me to the same oasis as yesterday to avoid waking my two “brothers.” At that moment, I was able to speak.
Me: “What is a name?”
I asked Mew, and he turned around and replied:
Mew: “It's a way to recognize each other. I suppose you don't have a name, right?”
Saddened, I replied no. Mew laughed, came closer, and said:
Mew: “Don't be sad, I'll find you one. Hmm, how about Eon?”
My eyes lit up and I laughed and said:
Me: “I… I like it. I want to give you a name too: Mewny.”
Mew, as I had nicknamed him, tilted his head to the left and let out a joyful cry. He clearly liked it. I was super happy about that.
I looked around, laughing along with him, but there was no sign of the Pokémon that had frightened me.
Me: “Hey Mewny, where's the other Pokémon? And how do I know how to talk?”
He looked at a specific spot above us and sighed.
Mewny: “Arcy? I don't know where it goes, but I know you can talk thanks to your human form.”
Thanks to Mewny, I understood how I could talk. I thought for a moment. Maybe he knew how to get me back to normal. It was worth a try.
Me: “Hmm, do you happen to know how to turn me back into a Pokémon?”
He stopped me immediately and replied sadly that he didn't. Mewny tried to cheer me up, and we started playing and having fun like crazy.
After a few hours, I noticed that I was standing, but I didn't know how. After noticing this, I fell face-first onto the ground because I lost control of my legs. Mewny, still laughing, helped me back up.
Mewny: “Heh heh, first time? Don't worry, I learned to float completely by accident; it'll be the same for you with walking.”
Evening came, so… it was time to say goodbye to Mewny. We said goodbye, and he took me back. I was still near my two brothers, and they were still sleeping.
Before leaving, Mewny came closer, put a paw on my cheek, and said:
Mewny: “I have to tell you something important, in case you haven't figured it out, you're in an egg, and outside they're waiting for it to hatch. I'm eagerly waiting too. But now I have to go, so… goodbye. See you tomorrow.”
That night, guess what? I didn't sleep a wink. And let's just say that Red and Blue noticed. They both tried to play with me as much as possible, trying to… put me to sleep? In the end, they were the ones who fell asleep.
After that day, Mewny and I started to become closer.
We played more and more, discovered new things, and even found strange shells on the beach. We had so much fun that I would fall asleep there and wake up in the egg….
…
Today, Mewny came up to my ear and said:
Mewny: “Hey Eon, do you want to see something cool?”
Intrigued by Mewny's question, I replied:
Me: “Go ahead, Mewny, show me.”
He nodded repeatedly, trying to contain his excitement.
Mewny: “Listen carefully, Eon. Now put your hand here, in the water in front of you, and concentrate on it. Do you feel anything?”
I approached the water of the oasis for the first time. I bent down, the sand felt strange under my feet… Honestly, I didn't really like having my feet in the sand, but it was only for a short time. I immersed my hand in the water, which was extraordinarily deep.
Me: “Hmmm… Yes, I feel something, and it's strange. It feels like my hand is being embraced from inside the water and… a little breeze is passing through this embrace.”
It was… a really strange feeling. But, unlike the sand, I liked it.
Mewny: “Heh heh heh, I see. That means you're attuned to both wind and water. All right, Eon, I'll teach you how to use wind and water… but starting tomorrow, because I'm tired now.”
From the next day, I started training hard to use the wind (I gave up on water because as soon as I used it, I caused disasters all over the oasis… And honestly, I was afraid that Mewny would get scolded because of me).
The training went well, and I managed to move a light sea breeze. It wasn't much, but I was happy with my progress.
When I returned, I noticed that the egg had a crack in it. I tried to see through it, but I couldn't see the outside very well. As soon as Mewny saw the crack, I saw his eyes light up. He hugged me enthusiastically, trying not to shout too loudly.
Mewny: “Eon, tomorrow the egg will hatch. I can't wait. As soon as it hatches, I'll come get you and we'll celebrate together, me, you, and your brothers, okay?”
I returned Mewny's hug, smiling.
Me: “Mewny, I'll be waiting anxiously. I can't wait for the egg to hatch.”
That wait was hell; I couldn't wait for the egg to hatch…
Morning came,
the egg hatched…
and…

Introduction.
Good morning everyone. My name is Eon, and from now on, I will, try to publish my story here. It's a Fanfiction dedicated to a lot of stuff. Starting with Pokémon. There's a lot of it inside, but the more you'll devour, the more complicated it gets. My first book ( that I will start to publish, from today maybe ) is dedicated to Pokémon MD Explorers of the Sky. It's a vision of how it went from my eyes. So... If you're interested in a story that will Evolve. Give it a chance.
One more tiny little quirky detail: Those books, start with Pokémon, that means the first two books are semi-completely copyright by them. From the third one there'll be a dramatic change that will change everything.
So, again, if you're interested, give it a shot!
( shortly after this post i'll publish the plot of the book )
