Here, have ministrife sprites of glowans from Karyn’s village! They’re all fivers, obviously.

My friend crimson-werewolf​ designed and named them, and I’m the one who gave them colors and made these sprites. Yep.

FSW Banner Raffle Entries + Affiliates Page + Blog Theme

Hello! Axlestuck here to give a blog update.

1: FSW Banner

You may know that every August we do Fanspecies Week, a week long celebration of fanspecies that usually comes with a set of drawing or writing prompts of some kind. You may also know that for these weeks we have a banner (here's last year's, featuring the velcello, wight, pygmy bub, wraith, and chimera species):

What you might not know is that the species chosen on these banners is actually done through a raffle in the Fanspecies Appreciation Discord server! This raffle accepts entries from 4/13 to 6/12, and then five species are pulled using a wheel and drawn on this banner.

We'd like this year to accept entrants into the banner on Tumblr as well! If you'd like to enter, here's what you need:

A species name (you can enter multiple species)

A mascot for that species at the time of the raffle being pulled (so by 6/12. It has to be a character you own)

You can enter through reblogging this post or replying to us with your fanspecies!

2: Blog Theme + Affiliates page

We have a nice, sparkly new blog theme! You can view it at our blog site, and thank you to Xestuck for helping us find a good theme and helping us get it set up.

One of the things we've added to the blog theme is an Affiliated Blogs, Projects, & Fanspecies Fanventures page. This is currently a fairly rudimentary list but we'd love to have more people on it! If you'd like your fanspecies-related blog, project, or fanventure on it please let us known through an ask or a reply!

Aquila (left) and Nikola (right) are yuemen (pronounced “you-men”), which is a butterfly-like species that hails from the moon Yue (infuriatingly pronounced “you.”), that orbits the planet Blue. Most of the time they look a lot like humans. [ZINNIA BURGUNDY: A common misconception. In fact, yuemen are genetically closer to trolls than humans.] Some standout differences are their antennae, colorful dots on their faces, and little wings on the top of their head. They also gain a secondary form in adolescence known as the “critter form.” [ZINNIA BURGUNDY: We will discuss the semi-feral bug transformation at a later date.
