Turns out they REALLY misunderstood the phrase "wont die alone" in that prophecy.
At birth, everyone receives a prophecy. Yours was destroyed before it could be read. Now people are afraid of you, and no one will tell you why.

Yeah, exactly. So now you find the lamp you make your wishes and none involve preventing the events. However because of this the wish that was made to prevent them never was made.
So from there we either end up in that looping paradox where without the wish the events happen causing you to need to wish them away again.
Or that wish stays in effect over all branching timelines requiring no further wishes or upkeep. But in that situation you have made a free 4th wish by jeans of time travel shenanigans which is against the no loopholes for extra wishes rule.
For the first time in all your years as a Genie in a bottle, you find yourself saying "Wish Denied"

Yes I know your wish for those tragedies to be undone doesn't break any of my rules and frankly I'm impressed by the logical loophole around bringing back the dead. If the wish prevents their death in the first place it probably wouldn't be considered bringing them back.
HOWEVER. If I grant this wish and create a new present where they never happened you would no longer ask for this wish to be granted thus causing the tragedies to go unhindered causing your wish again yada yada.
I may have the power to grant any wish, but if Chronos finds out I touched their thermostat it will be so over for us both.
For the first time in all your years as a Genie in a bottle, you find yourself saying "Wish Denied"

Elven nation who are generally content with their current life, be it peace or species-wide procrastination that can only be obtained by knowing you'll live 700 years or so. But it all gets fucked up by an impatient human who manages to befriend their leader and is now invested in getting this place in ship shape for his friend after he's gone.
Bonus points for the human consistently being baffled by their extensive history of nothing happening at all.
pro-tip: don't ever use the sentence "thousands of years" in your worldbuilding unless you really know what a thousand years is like

a writing competition i was going to participate in again this year has announced that they now allow AI generated content to be submitted
their reasoning being that "we couldn't ban it even if we wanted to, every writer already uses it anyway"
"Every writer"?
come on

This is the plot of Dr.Stone
You were an average mage when you fought a basilisk and were turned to stone. 1,000 years later, you awaken to find magic has decayed—and you are now a legendary archmage by today's standards.

you know what maybe it's on purpose that i can't draw a stick figure to save my life.
because if i was actually able to draw the things i wrote about in my fanfic people would probably be like "what the actual fuck" and run away screaming and crying

Scott McCloud’s incomparable “Understanding Comics”.
I swear you can open this book to any page and it’s amazing.
(ps it’s actually a digital image of a printed copy of a drawing of a painting of a pipe)

Many simply create some slowly building beneficial effect upon their immortality to have some level of separation from the "basic" immortality.
Arch Wizard Grolachae however, has imposed a looping function of instant death, revival, and necromancy on his body. All three spells are activated withing nanoseconds of each other resulting in his wreched body being effectively alive, dead, and undead all at once.
It is the most fascinating spell paper I have ever had the displeasure of reading.
Wizards are not naturally immortal. In fact, creating their own form of immortality is their graduation thesis.

My first wish was for eternal youth, my second was to always know the location of the lamp, and the third was specifically that no one else would find it before me, you're stuck with me
“You have awoken me, mortal, and now I shall grant you three—oh for the love of—can’t ANYONE ELSE find my lamp?!”

People will say violence isn't the answer as if we're taking some test.
We're not.
We're taking a survey that asks us to fill all applicable boxes, and sometimes violence is the only applicable box.

And here I thought it was just a silverless mirror
You bought a cheap mirror from an antique store, not knowing it was enchanted. The mirror shows the reflection of the viewer 60 years in the future. You didn't realize it was magical because your reflection is... exactly the same.
