Hoshi was right. Trying to forget bad memories would be like running away from them. Kiibo knew this, but he did envy humans a little because their memories would lose details over time while his memories would forever stay a perfect recording of the events which had transpired.
“Yes, an electromagnetic wave from a megaphone. You might not believe what happened next, but it really did happen. The person with the megaphone fiddled with the settings of his megaphone a bit and then shot another electromagnetic wave while I was still dancing that embarrassing dance. My interface was flooded with errors and then I broke! This is the last thing I remember before waking up here.”
Well, whether it sounded believable or not, it seemed doubtful that Kiibo would try to lie to Ryoma- or would even be able to do so. He probably wouldn’t even consider doing it in the first place, so...
“Wait, so, the electromagnetic waves from the megaphone,” god, that sounded weird, “these were able to not only force your programming to do things you didn’t tell it to do- they were also able to just jam the programming to the point of breaking?”
That... Sounded odd, and very sci-fi. Ryoma’s no expert on these things at all (where was Iruma the one time you actually needed her for once?), so he didn’t know how it would work or how possible it was- it just sounded like it’d be pretty out there.
That, and, he had no idea to what extent Kiibo ‘broke’. Was he just shut off? Did they reset him? Or did the signal cause the internal structure to actually fry itself or self-destruct?
Regardless of all that... Pretty messed up. Kiibo might look a bit weird to most others since he’s a robot, but... Anyone who talked to him for just a few seconds should be able to tell pretty clearly that he wasn’t a threat or some weapon of mass destruction. They’d probably just confuse him with an advance household-type robot, or a very dedicated cosplayer.
So why would anyone..?
“... Sounds unpleasant, to say the least. How are you now? Were they able to repair everything?”

It was hard to talk to Ryouma sometimes. That was Kokichi’s fault, really. He was well aware that his nature to screw around very well clashed with Ryouma, who was fairly grounded and rational with how he approached situations. The leader let out a sigh as he watched the cat play around. His eyes gazed upon the cat, before they looked back to the person in front of him.
“Eh…?” He tilted his head at the other’s comment and tapped at his own chin for a moment. “I don’t know about that, Hoshi-chan. As far as I know, she’s always been dumpster diving here with me. I call her Bento… because she always goes for the lunch boxes first– and look, she looks like one, too, right? I know I’m pretty good at naming.”
Kokichi grabbed a hold of the thin line of fabric that hung from his trousers and used it to swing it around the mentioned cat a few times. He smirked, watching her play with it. “She’s pretty tame, but only because the people around here feed her.”
“But yanno.. If you’re that concerned, you could always take her to the pet shelter. If she has a chip, she got an owner… right? And if she doesn’t, then you should just take care of her. I don’t really feed her good things around here. Just scraps. Nee-heehee…”
Well, in that case, calling her Bento wouldn’t necessarily be weird, but it’s a bit going for the obvious, isn’t it? Wait- that’s not the issue at hand here. The issue at hand is, instead, how such a well-groomed and well-fed cat is apparently a stray. Even if people around feed a stray cat frequently and she’d socialise through that, she shouldn’t be anywhere near this round.
So, then, abandoned? Or just really lost?
“... So you know she’s been a stray for a while, and yet no one took the time to take her to the shelter to have her checked for a chip whatsoever?”
How irresponsible... One would think someone would’ve decided to do so already, but apparently not at all. Even if this city was as peaceful as it was, being a stray or outdoors cat would always be detrimental to the health of a cat, even if she was fed constantly by people in the neighborhood. There’s the constant stress of unknown factors, a heightened chance of eating something dangerous, and you never know what kind of person (or sheep, he supposed) a cat could run into on the streets.
Well- if no one else has done so, then maybe he in fact should.
“... I don’t have a cat carrier, so what else...”
Maybe he could just put her in a box and carry her? She seemed easygoing enough for him to do so. Arguably he could carry her in his arms, but- she did seem pretty heavy, and it might get pretty uncomfortable halfway through. The last thing he wanted was to ask Kokichi if he’d found anything in the dumpster that he could use, but...
“... Maybe... If there is a clean, sturdy box around here...”

She’d admit that the question caught her off-guard. To think that something horrible might have occurred raised an eyebrow on the pianist’s face. Kaede never wanted to think that the killing game began– That another person murdered someone.
As much as she wanted to escape, she wished to do so with all of her friends by her side. The only person (or thing, at that) she could blame was Monokuma. Still, she was curious about what Ryoma meant by his words. It was possible he knew something that she did not, but she didn’t want to think pessimistically.
“Hm? What do you mean? We were all trapped together, but I’m positive there weren’t any murders. I’d remember something like that, you know? Everyone was working so hard to escape.. We were using all of our best efforts to find some way to leave.”
Even though she had gotten out of Monokuma’s clutches, there were many questions that continued to linger over her head. Who was the Mastermind, anyways? Was there even one to begin with? Regardless, the important thing was that they were no longer held prisoner by something so sinister, encouraging them to kill as if it’s fun.
If she could get inside the building and produce sound, Kaede would certainly play a song befitting of the mood. One thing did make her happy, that being the knowledge that she would be able to let her friends hear her music. “When that time comes, I’ll be sure to invite you! It’s not much, but music does have powers of its own.”
“... So then, you really don’t-
... No, don’t mind me. It’s nothing, after all. Don’t worry about it.”
How uncool, to try and make Kaede relive the things she’d done and experienced, when all she’d try to do was get everyone out alive. It was undeniable she had a murder on her hands, but he was in no position to judge. Out of the two of them, he was definitely the worst, with no motive other than a vengeance.
He didn’t really let himself wonder too much about what could’ve happened or what would happen from hereon out- especially considering that he was now here instead of... There. In a sense, it was still a shame that no one had made use of his own worthless life and the First Blood perk to get out, but...
Anyways.
“I’m sure there are others who’d be able to appreciate your music more properly, so you should invite them instead when you can.”
Kiibo and Kokichi were here as well. He... Doubted Kokichi would have the attention span or the personality to sit still and properly listen, but Kiibo would probably try his best to do so. Besides, there were many other people here as well, not just sheep. Surely, there’d be people there who could understand Kaede’s music better than he did, so it’d be better for her to have those people in the audience, right? People who understand and were able to appreciate it propely- and people who wouldn’t cause problems from associating with them.

She detested Monokuma for his un-forgiveable actions. The mere thought of their classmates killing one-another was an upsetting thing of its own. Kaede had danced around the idea of there being a mastermind before, but it was because Shuichi had mentioned it to her. She wanted to put all her focus on everyone getting out together– In a way, she felt as if she were neglecting her duty by coming here. Had she abandoned her classmates? Did she fail?
Seeing a concert hall washed away her thoughts of regret and worry (even if momentarily). If she could go inside and play, that truly would soothe the soul. Perhaps playing Chopin’s Nocturne would be fitting for the mood. She always got absorbed in her music– It was a shame she never got to play for her peers.
Purple irises turned around at the call of her name, snapping her out of her musical thoughts. Her smile turned into one of surprise, taking a few steps closer towards him and interlacing her fingers in front of her. She was shocked, but in a good way.
“Hoshi-kun! It’s really you..! Oh, I’m so glad.” She paused, shifting her gaze while adding, “As long as Monokuma didn’t get his way, then.. I’m content.”
It was correct that she felt happiness by the concert hall, that much she couldn’t deny. She let out a little laugh at the comment, for she knew it was true. “It’s predictable for a pianist to go towards a concert hall, I’m sure. But.. I couldn’t help it! If I’m able, I’d like to play here.”
‘It’s really you’..? If anything, he should be the one saying that to her, shouldn’t he?
He feels like something odd is going on here, but, at the same time, it doesn’t seem entirely unfeasible. Hadn’t Kiibo told him something weird as well? Something about a different flow of time, and how Kiibo had been here for weeks already when Ryoma woke up here, even though Ryoma could remember seeing Kiibo in the school just moments prior to waking up in his new room.
Then... Could it be like this right now, too? He supposed there was just one way to figure out, even though he didn’t want to pry too much; when he gets too involved or asks too much, he knows he will ruin things. He’ll let it go as soon as he’s sure.
“Didn’t get his way..? Do you not recall that he did..?”
If she’d survived... Or if she’d been from this other flow of time, like Kiibo had theorised about himself and Ryoma before... Then he didn’t want to ruin that version of Kaede. It would be a good point for her to be; so it’d be good that, once he established this, he lets it all go immediately and takes his distance again, so as to not make that Kaede feel any guilt or pain over what had happened.
“It’s not so weird, is it? To want to do the thing you enjoy doing. I’m sure that as an Ultimate Pianist, you could get to play there sometime.”

To say he knew the entire layout of the city would be a gross oversimplification. He may know the general direction he can find everything in, but even so, every time he leaves his room, he still encounters new things he hasn’t seen before (or, perhaps, things he just hasn’t noticed before). Sometimes, even visiting old locations was a good idea, even if just because something might have changed, or he missed something the previous times.
In that way, Stella City was very odd. Not just the civil servants were a strange duo (he willingly presented himself as a criminal, yet they refuse to send him to prison), but the city in itself were odd as well. Sometimes, it’s as if things just pop up out of nowhere, and it makes you wonder, has it always been there before, and you just never noticed?
This sudden ‘popping up’ of things is not restricted to just locations or objects, however.
It seems to apply to people as well.
It wasn’t something that had sunken in for him yet when he went out today to explore some more, maybe find a way out - he was rather indifferent on being here, unnerving as it may be, as it was preferable to seeing other people his age be forced to kill each other off like it was nothing, but Kiibo seemed intent enough to leave this place, and he couldn’t just ignore it entirely - but what he found instead was this realisation of people appearing out of nowhere.
All it had taken was to hear a voice he shouldn’t have been able to hear ever again. And of course, after hearing that voice, he couldn’t help himself- he had to go inspect.
He didn’t understand any of the workings of this city, clearly- because this shouldn’t be possible, and yet...
“... Akamatsu?” he questioned it out loud once her saw her, because it shouldn’t really be possible, you know? He briefly wondered if this was Shirogane, but... They’ve gone over this before, haven’t they? With the cospox and all... Then maybe... Had she survived, after all..? He’s seen dead bodies before, he knows it couldn’t have been, but- maybe he’d been mistaken?
“... Figures, that you’d be at the concert hall, of all places.”
@prisonserve
She hadn’t been in the city for long and yet, she yearned to explore. It was better than her previous circumstances (that much seemed certain), but Kaede couldn’t help and continue to feel hints of uncertainty and doubt. If anything, the scenery did catch the pianist’s attention.
At least in this city, the Killing Game ceased to exist– The game she so desperately wanted to end. Of course, thoughts of it flooded her mind. She wasn’t sure if she could ever get rid of it.
It was only befitting for her to stumble across the concert hall. Her eyes nearly lit up at its sight, fixing her gaze onto it amidst her own thoughts. If she could play the piano there, that truly would be nothing short of incredible!
The pianist didn’t pay attention to anyone around her, only musing to herself out loud. “Wow! A concert hall this large is amazing! Alright, I guess there’s no need to worry.”

“You shouldn’t say such things, Hoshi-kun. If something were to happen to you I would be very sad…”
Kiibo would protect Hoshi this time. There had been so many times Kiibo had felt powerless to do anything, but things were different now. He knew what was bothering Hoshi so much.
The reason Hoshi had been willing to let himself be killed had been his motive video. Kiibo couldn’t imagine what that was like to have no reason to keep on living, but that didn’t matter. He just had to give Hoshi a reason, did he not? That was easier said than done. Still, Kiibo was stubborn and wouldn’t be giving up on this easily. For now, he decided the most he could do was getting to know Hoshi better.
“Hardware store located,” Kiibo said as he made a beeline for it, but not before attempting to take Hoshi along. The height difference between them was too big for Kiiboo to be able to reach Hoshi’s hand so he gently placed a hand on his back instead.
“Excellent. We will find a power strip in no time–” No sooner had Kiibo said that or the vast amount of things in the hardware store overwhelmed him. “……….Hm. I might have to redact my previous statement. We will find a power strip sometime during today.”
“... Huh. It’s appreciated, but... Don’t waste feelings like that, on someone like me.”
Kiibo... Is often too kind for his own good, huh. Even if he falls short many times, and isn’t as impressive as you’d think a robot would be in certain areas, and he fails at reading the atmosphere and emotions, Ryoma supposes one could say he has a ‘kind heart’ under all that metal. Metaphorically, of course. It’s better for Kiibo to grow and develop from interacting with others. Whether they’re other classmates, or other people in this city.
He doesn’t really have time to protest to Kiibo putting a hand on his back and pushing him along, so he settles for a look of irritation on his face instead as he’s ushered into the hardware store.
It’s... Yeah. It’s larger than he expected, in all honesty, and there’s lots of stuff in seemingly no specific order. Surely, they’ll both find what they need here, but... It may take up some time indeed.
“We can just take it one aisle at a time, and if really necessary, just ask a sheep behind a counter. I don’t have anywhere else to be, and I assume you’re not in desperate need of charging immediately.”

“Yes, certainly. If you wish for me to explain what happened then I will, but first…”
Kiibo grabbed two folding chairs which had been leaning against a wall and placed them in the middle of his temporary room across from each other. He sat down on one, closed his legs and straightened his back before pointing at the other chair with his hand.
“Please, take a seat.” Kiibo was beaming then, happy to have a friend over and to be offering them a place to sit. Of course, it didn’t register with Kiibo that a folding chair wasn’t very comfortable and thus not as impressive as he was making it seem it was. “I will now tell you what happened.”
“The day I got shot started like any other. I had set out to explore the city when a person with a megaphone told me–” Kiibo quickly found the recording he was looking for and “spoke” with Byakuya’s voice. “Tell me your objective, robot. Paying this public act of robophobia no mind, I explained to the stranger that I was looking into the possibility of charging at a public charging point in times of dire need.”
Kiibo nodded to himself. His ability to remember things in perfect detail was quite impressive, even if he said so himself. Then again, sometimes he did wish he could forget things. The things he had to explain to Hoshi next were rather unpleasant.
“This is where the misunderstanding began. I thought I was speaking with someone I knew, but in fact, the stranger was but a stranger. He got irritated with me and shot some kind of electromagnetic wave at me through the megaphone. I can’t explain what happened well, but I suppose you could say I got hacked by him. I started dancing a strange dance. It was really embarrassing. I wish I could erase it from my memory, but alas I am not allowed to delete any memory files manually.”
He considered it for a moment, but then sat down on the chair offered to him. It was probably Kiibo’s way of being polite, so he’d feel bad to ignore it, especially in these rather... Tense circumstances. He’s seen quite some death, so frankly, he’s used to it, but even then... That doesn’t make it any more normal.
He leaned his elbow on his own leg, and listened as patiently as he could to Kiibo’s retelling of the events, giving a small nod every now and then to signify he was, in fact, listening to what Kiibo told him, and trying to store the voice Kiibo had recorded to his own memory as well. He doubted he could replicate it so flawlessly as Kiibo had, but at the very least, he wanted to be able to... Recognise it, lest he ever hear it. The fact Kiibo lived meant that he probably wouldn’t need to act on it, however.
... Probably.
“An electromagnetic wave from a megaphone..?”
It’s not that he doubted Kiibo- he was a robot, so while he may not understand social nuances or the atmosphere very well, but he was pretty good when it came to memorisation and facts. It’s just... A weird sentence to hear. He could ask about it later, because, clearly, this wasn’t the whole story yet- after all, they’d only gotten to the part where Kiibo was dancing. Embarassing it may have been, but it sure isn’t death, so there must’ve been something more to this story.
“It’s not so strange to want to forget about things, both embarassing and... Traumatising.
But in the end, none of us can, and really, we shouldn’t. That’s like running away. Regardless... Please continue, since this story still doesn’t sound complete to me.”

“An angry ram…”
Kiibo believed Hoshi. If something as crazy as people coming back from the dead was business as usual in Stella City, then Kiibo didn’t doubt that there was an angry ram delivering letters here as well.
“That statement is false!” Kiibo shouted, pointing his finger at Hoshi to strengthen his words. “If something bad were to happen to you that would be terrible. I won’t allow it! We will fix your door together. I will see to it that you stay safe until then.”
Not that there was much Kiibo could do seeing as he only had the strength of a healthy elderly citizen, but he would find a way to make it work.
Frankly, to have Kiibo claim so loudly that not only was Ryoma wrong, it would also apparently in fact be a bad thing if something did happen to him, was surprising, to say the least.
Huh.
Well, once he thinks it over... It’s not so strange Kiibo feels and thinks that way towards Ryoma- he feels this way towards all his classmates, after all. Whether he was programmed that way or developed that way, he seemed to feel that anything happening to anyone was a bad thing.
... He clearly can’t tell yet, huh? How different situations apply to different people, how if something happened to someone else, it’d be drastically worse than if something happened to Ryoma. It’s only a matter of time until he realises, people like himself aren’t worth going through such trouble for.
“There’s no need for the dramatics. It’s quite alright. I doubt anything will happen here- and if it did, it’s really not so bad.”
Though, to turn down the offer for help would be quite impolite. Again... He doesn’t want to encourage Kiibo to spend time with him. Quite the contrary, in fact. He can only be a bad influence, a source or pain and trouble- someone as naive and easily tricked as Kiibo shouldn’t be in such an environment.
“You really don’t have to, but I suppose it’ll prevent the sheep from getting on my case, so if you have any information on how to fix a door, I’m all ears.
First things first, however. The power strip. I think that store over there is a hardware store?”

Ah… It wouldn’t really make sense to ask Ryouma whether he got hit on the head, because as far as Kokichi was aware, he knew something worse had happened to the blue midget in front of him. He pouted as he thought about what to say. Then he looked down and wiped the ring he found with a hankerchief from his pocket. Nice and clean, just like dumpster treasure should be.
“Rude?! There are nice things in the trash, but I wouldn’t fight some cat over a can of tuna! Is that what you’re getting at?!” A low whine left his lips after he said that, before he trotted over to the cat and took her in his arms. Without much hesitance, he speed walked over to the other and held her up in front of him.
“Look!” Uh… she was struggling by now and Kokichi wasn’t… sure how to deal with that. Eventually, he got scratched in the hands and let go. A hiss left him but turned into a whimper soon enough. “Damn… ”
But despite all that, the cat strangely didn’t move away. It was almost as if she was not just any kind of stray, but a former house cat type of stray. Kokichi weirdly felt some familiarity in that, but he decided not to comment on it.
“Hey.” He mindlessly watched the cat play with the chain around the other’s ankle. Was the tuna truly that lacking of importance? Then why did they even fight about it in the first place? “I think she likes you… actually.”
Blue midget..? Look at yourself, you purple gremlin.
Anyways, yes, that had exactly been what Ryoma was getting at. He had to admit that he did not have a perfect grip on what kind of person Ouma was, and frankly, he seemed to exhausting for him to deal with on a daily basis to begin with. Despite all that, fighting a cat over something he found in the trash... Didn’t sound too unreasonable, tragically enough.
More shockingly, however, was that absolutely clearly, Ouma had absolutely no idea on how to handle a cat, clear by the incorrect way of picking it up and holding it too tightly, to not noticing the angry swishing tail. Ryoma couldn’t even suggest in time that he put down the cat, as the cat had in fact taken matters into her own hands already.
“Is that what you think, now..?”
He looked down at the cat as she played with the chain, batting at it with her paw until she flopped on her side. Her fur looked soft, signifying a healthy and well-fed cat... Perhaps that’s why the calico was so quick to discard the tuna after being picked up?
Regardless- no collar or anything of the sorts. It was almost strange to have a cat like this wander around. Sure, it might be an outdoor cat, but he assumed those would wear a collar... Still, she’s pretty round for her size, so, certainly, someone’s feeding her, right..?
“That’s just because she’s a socialised house cat. There’s probably a concerned owner somewhere. See? Her fur is soft, so she’s probably healthy and well-fed.”
Though, wasn’t she a little too fat..? He knows it’s easy to spoil a cat, but if they get too round, their weight would just get in the way of movement, right..?

Kiibo was confident in Hoshi’s ability to find a hardware store, so he was comfortable following him around. It was strange how a robot and a murderer could be so much like a duckling and its mother duck.
It went without saying that Kiibo was happy to answer Hoshi’s next question. He was always happy to talk about himself!
“Most of the outlets in my room are already in use by electrical devices. Whenever I have to recharge myself I have to get into strange positions to reach an empty outlet. This is a bit of a hassle, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to buy a power strip.”
One time Kiibo had gotten his torso stuck under his bed while his metal ass had been high up in the air. That hadn’t been a good time so he would like to avoid having something similar happen to him again.
“You said you had to fix a broken door?” Kiibo asked, hoping that he wasn’t crossing a line by asking about something… criminal? Perhaps? “What happened?”
Does anybody need that many electrical appliances in their room..? What had he put in there, like five lamps?
Well, at least he understood that having to stand on your hands to charge yourself just to make sure you don’t stop functioning throughout the day was less than ideal. If a power strip was what he figured he needed... Well, at least he could try and direct Kiibo in the right direction.
“... There was an angry ram delivering a reply to my earlier letter and he kicked out my door.”
When he speaks it out loud, it seems like something he made up on the spot. Thing was, he hadn’t. He’d very much gotten a letter by an angry ram that kicked in his door, after which the letter told him there were bananas under his bed if he got hungry (there had been bananas under his bed indeed). It was odd.
“... I’m not too worried about not having a door, to be honest. Nothing that’d happen to me would really matter- but I suppose I’m probably not supposed to leave my door broken for too long, so I’ll see what I can do.”
He’s no carpenter, that’s for sure, but he’s got a head on his shoulders with which he can think, and he’s alright in this kind of stuff, he supposes.
“I’ll need new hinges, I think those were busted out. I’ll see how far I get.”

Kiibo had been in the middle of doing hand and finger exercises as a familiar face walked into his temporary room. Being visited by a friend(?) made Kiibo emotional, but he tried to not let that show too much as he rose from his bed and approached the other.
“Hoshi-kun! Good of you to come. Thank you for taking up some of your spare time to visit me.”
Kiibo was happy to see Hoshi. There wasn’t all that much to do at Ewesink Emporium, so talking with Hoshi would make for a nice distraction.
“A lot has happened,” Kiibo began explaining, hugging himself as he thought back of the day of his near murder. “I suppose I could say there was a misunderstanding. I got shot amid the confusion.”
A lot has happened..? Well, Kiibo wasn’t wrong there, really. Even if just going up to their arrival here, a whole lot had transpired. Let alone counting all the things within this city; and then, this, too.
“... Shot amidst the confusion over a misunderstanding..?” that was a rather out-there way to end up nearly dying. Then again, someone trying to end the life of another, that wasn’t an event that very often went about without a lot going on beforehand and during.
Still, that must’ve been a rather big misunderstanding. They’ve all seen misunderstandings lead to death before, so it wasn’t that strange to Ryoma, but that one had been pretty dire back then as well.
“... If you don’t mind, could you tell me what happened?”
He knew he was asking for quite a lot. It surely can’t haven been pleasant to experience, so to be asked to talk about it-
It might even be selfish. It’s not like he talks about it, either, right..?
“You don’t have to, of course.”

Kiibo wasn’t fooling anyone, and especially not Hoshi. To Kiibo’s surprise, Hoshi didn’t mind joining him in his quest for obtaining a power strip. Kiibo didn’t even hesitate for a moment and immediately took Hoshi up on that offer.
“I don’t mind! I have all the time in the world. Please join me!” Kiibo beamed. “If there are other things you need to buy as well I would be happy to help you carry them.”
Kiibo wouldn’t be able to carry too many heavy things because he only had the strength of a healthy senior citizen, but he would try his best. It was social etiquette to repay someone for their kindness and time. He planned on paying Hoshi back in full.
“Lead the way.”
Sheesh, Kiibo had been that desperate, huh? Well, he might have hoped for Ryoma to just lead him there, but-
“It’s not like I really know this city’s layout that well...”
Well, if this was anything like a regular city, it’d have a hardware store, so he wasn’t really worried about it all too much. He’d just have to find one by trying to find the main shopping street, right? It shouldn’t be too hard; he could just try and see where the majority of people and sheep were. He also had a rough estimate of where most stores were, so-
“... About that direction, I assume.”
Well, if they got lost, they could ask for directions, so it’d be alright. But since there were no ways of fast transport in the city itself that he could see, it shouldn’t even be that big to begin with.
“What do you need a power strip for, anyways?”
Well, to charge things, obviously, but he didn’t really feel like Kiibo would need that many electrical appliances that he’d need to have cords running all over the place.

@specialrobotboy
After his previous talk with Kiibo, where he had told Ryoma ‘not to worry’ about this city, the last thing he’d expected was to receive a letter at his front door over how Kiibo had nearly died.
He should be used to it (frankly, he was), but it still didn’t sit right with him that in what seemed to be a genuine city that someone would go out of their way to try and kill Kiibo. On their trip to the hardware store no one, neither sheep nor person, had really seemed to mind their presence- a killer and a robot.
So why now, like this, all of a sudden..? Was it the Killing Game, after all?
It was odd, which is why, eventually, he got himself to go and visit this Ewesink Emporium where the letter said Kiibo was at, currently. Just by saying that he knew who Kiibo was, they actually had let him into the the store and into the back room. Huh. How trustworthy.
To, suprisingly, his relief, he spotted Kiibo there seemingly intact and functional.
“... Kiibo. What happened.”

☆ Candy Meme ☆
To celebrate the Pumpkin ‘n Spice Festival, here’s one of two memes to celebrate! Why not drop some candy in the inboxes of your friends? They’ll surely enjoy it.
Bubblegum: What is your character’s favorite type of candy? Rock candy: What is your character’s general taste like? Do they tend to like classics, or things people might view as strange? Lollipop: Does your character act tough, but have a warm, gooey center? The opposite? Are they soft all-around, or more of a bad apple? Caramel: If your character was a type of candy, what would they be and why? Chocolate-covered marshmallow: Do they have an obvious weakness, or are their soft spots more hidden? Baaribo: Is there a memory your character associates with the taste of candy? Jelly beans: What are two of your character’s traits that you wouldn’t think go together, but do? Liquorice: What’s a memory that leaves a bad taste in your character’s mouth? Candy corn: What is something your character loves about this time of year?
Don’t forget to tag your reblogs and answers with #steci memeing for easy tracking and blacklisting, to accommodate those who may not meme as hard as others! Feel free to tag it as #steci answers as well for others to find!

Ah, right. To Hoshi it would probably seem like they hadn’t been separated for too long, if at all. An explanation seemed necessary, even if Kiibo couldn’t offer Hoshi one he was happy with.
“I don’t fully understand it myself, but time seems to flow differently here. That is what I noticed while talking with the others. It’s strange, but I don’t think it’s reason for worry.”
Whoever was responsible for allowing them this second chance had to be incredibly kind. Kiibo wasn’t about to doubt their intentions, even if this city held many unsolvable mysterious.
“The… hardware store…” Kiibo repeated after Hoshi, pretending to know what the other was talking about. “Of course! Naturally! I should be able to find what I need there. Thank you, Hoshi-kun.”
A different flow of time..? For someone who wasn’t into anything even remotely sci-fi, Kiibo was offering some pretty sci-fi explanations for this whole set-up. He was unsure whether that made this explanation more or less believable.
Well... Whatever this whole situation was about, he’d probably find out sooner or later, he supposed. Either that, or the rest would’ve found a way out by then already. Didn’t really matter in the end. He wasn’t too worried to begin with; just confused.
“...”
In any case, one thing was clear, and that was that Kiibo obviously didn’t know what Ryoma was talking about. He didn’t want to encourage others seeking him out, but... He hasn’t sunken so low yet to just leave someone clearly confused and stranded when all they needed was just a power strip.
“I have to go there myself, anyways. Gotta fix a broken door... If you’re not in a rush, you can tag along if you want.”

Kiibo nodded along as Hoshi explained that he had been exploring Stella City for the sake of exploring it. They both had experience with finding yourself trapped in an unfamiliar and enclosed space. Having a look around was the first step to gaining a better understanding of Stella City, in this case.
“You are correct. I have had a few weeks to familiarize with this city. Currently I am looking to buy a power strip, but I have yet to locate one.”
Unlike most of Kiibo’s other classmates he didn’t have too much information on Hoshi. They hadn’t been particularly close. Kiibo had made a few attempts to initiate socialization between them, but time and again their rather short-lived conversations had ended with Hoshi informing him that he was a dangerous person to be around and that Kiibo best stay away.
The lack of information on Hoshi meant that Kiibo couldn’t calculate how the Ultimate Tennis Pro was going to answer the question he had in mind for him. Because of this Kiibo was left no other choice then to ask his question blindly and hope for the best.
“I would like to request your assistance in my search. You might be new to Stella City, but there is no doubt in my mind that you have a better idea of where one might be able to buy a power strip. I am highly inexperienced when it comes to exchanging money for material goods. Would you be willing to lent me a hand?”
Wait, a few weeks..? They hadn’t even been in the Academy for that long, had they? Ryoma’s pretty sure he saw Kiibo just about yesterday.
“But I still saw you during that time, and we weren’t here then just yet, so that doesn’t really add up, does it.”
Had Kiibo found a way between the two places, even way before anything happened? He’s trying his best to make sense of this inconsistency, but he really just can’t right now. He just assumes he’ll figure it out later, or that Kiibo will have a proper explanation.
What he got, however, was a request for help in finding... A power strip. You’d think that that Ultimate Robot who insists that he’s just a high school student like everyone else would at least know this much.
“... Have you tried going to a hardware store?”
Even this place should have one, right? Maybe he’d find something to repair his front door with, too.
